Anybody in the market for a lovely 2 bed near Cambridge?

Absolute bargain at only £295,000! Hmm

Is that the garage?

TokyoSushi · 13/07/2018 13:30

Looks like it! Somebody wanting to sell a converted garage for almost £300K!!

Lotsofdigestives · 13/07/2018 13:31

Why are they calling it a bungalow?!

Bananalanacake · 13/07/2018 13:32

The kitchen looks big

StarkDismay · 13/07/2018 13:33

How the heck do you get your furniture in, assuming the front door is down that little passage to the right?

Bluntness100 · 13/07/2018 13:33

I can't work out what it is, has someone built a bungalow on their side return and it's facing rhe brick wall?

JohnnyKarate · 13/07/2018 13:34

Actually Lotsofdigestives it's a chalet bungalow Grin

As a renter who would love to buy but can only borrow £250,000 thats the most depressing thing! .... I can't even afford it

JohnnyKarate · 13/07/2018 13:37

It's a converted garage Bluntness100

It's an absolute joke.

Crikey, you can buy a 4 bed detached with a garage and garden around here for less than that!

SoupDragon · 13/07/2018 13:46

You can’t buy a 2 bed flat for that here :)

Bluntness100 · 13/07/2018 13:48

How odd is that, it's even priced above market value. Why would you want to live in someone's converted garage when you can buy a normal house for less than that in the same area, makes no sense.

KlutzyDraconequus · 13/07/2018 13:49

Just out of curiosity I had a look around near me...

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-55285662.html

What would you rather? A 4 bed in a small village near Doncaster.. or a garage near cambridge..

Notquiteagandt · 13/07/2018 13:53

I think that type of property would be hard to get a mortgage on.

Imagine it will be bought by a developer who will rent it out or wait for the equity on the land.

It is awfully odd though.....

Bluntness100 · 13/07/2018 13:58

I can see it working as a "granny" annexe or something, just not as a stand alone dwelling.

GonzoTheGreat · 13/07/2018 13:58

That's a lot of photos of various corners Confused.

AlpacaLypse · 13/07/2018 13:59

Where on earth is the door?

Flexoset · 13/07/2018 14:00

Hmmm, I wonder why there are no measurements on the floor plan? [hmmm]

ReevaDiva · 13/07/2018 14:00

Wow, there's so little to it that one of the 7 pictures is of the floor!!

There's a 5 bedroom house with sea views in my town on sale for less than that right now!

WhenEnoughIsEnough · 13/07/2018 14:00

Urgh and it's in Milton, one of the least desirable villages near Cambridge. It has got food transport links though.

morningconstitutional2017 · 13/07/2018 14:02

Mmm, it wouldn't look quite so bad if it had a proper front door - I'm fussy about those. Does it actually have a front door?

OTOH, loads of parking - and an easy care garden, if you can call it that. The thing is - will it sell? If it doesn't then the builders will know that they've made a big mistake.

JohnnyKarate · 13/07/2018 14:05

The master bedroom must only have one wall that isn't sloped! Where are you meant to put your furniture?

OP posts:
Bluntness100 · 13/07/2018 14:47

Do you think the front door is by the brick wall? You wouldn't want to be on the large side. It must be hard to get things in and out. You'd prob have to squeeze round back to the patio doors.

QuiteUnfitBit · 13/07/2018 14:52

Looking at Streetview, is it that small garage? Can that even have planning permission??? Surely the house will have lost its parking and parking spaces. Grin
