What colour is your hall/stairs/landing?

Ours is magnolia at the moment, the same as most of the house. We really need to decorate but can I decide what colour? Can I heck! I'm veering towards soft grey or greenish tones but I'm open to suggestions.

Magnolia! Bit boring but neutral. Dh loves it, I would prefer something a bit more interesting. Some kind of light green perhaps.

Natural hessian, a bit less yellow tones that magnolia

Ours was a light shade of yellow for a few days until I decided I hated it.

Now it's a warm cream and it's nice. Not very exciting, but I'm happy with it. It's quite a dark hallway, so a light colour works best.

Milky white - am trying to get it as light as possible. My ideal would be a dove grey but fear the house would seem too dark.

All my other rooms are 'colours' though.

Mine is papered with a light cream and dark cream stripe. The light (or possibly dark, I can't be arsed to get up and check) stripe had glitter in.
(Less tacky than it sounds)

Ours is just about to be painted 'caramel latte' orcas my husband refers to it - baby poo!

Light grey. Was magnolia when we moved in. Much prefer it.

Grey walls that almost have a bluey tinge to them, white gloss skirting and banisters and a darker grey carpet

Mine is Farrow and Ball, Pavilion Grey.
I have an oak floor in the hallway and dark grey carpet up the stairs and it all matches really well.

F&B paint is expensive and there are plenty of other brands with similar colours

We've just finished a big renovation project and unbeknownst to us the decorator had been briefed to leave everything painted flat matt white. Initially we were horrified - "plain white!?!?" - but we've now decided to leave it, we love it! It's very flat, there's no reflection even under electric light, it's very easy to touch up should it get marked, colour is added by artwork etc. Really maximises the natural light. Mind you, I have wood doors, architraves and skirting and floor. It could be a bit much without them to break them up.

Like a pp I went for yellow. HUGE mistake. It was supposed to be a grey-ish mustard. Instead it was like American hot dog mustard. It was awful.

Now it's gentle fawn. I Bought gentle fawn because the name suggested it was gentle-unlike the hot dog mustard colour. It's fine. It's not yellow.

Dimpse F&B it's grey, silvery blue changes with the light and was recommended by mn.

We currently have so many different testers on the walls it's almost not worth buying proper paint! We've tried about 10 different shades of brown, yellow, cream and green and none of them feel right.

The DSs and DH want orange (latest tester bought yesterday), but I remain to be convinced!

Little Greene is the make and "Clay" is the colour. Absolutely love it. Apparently so I'm told, Little Greene is the paint of choice for decorators, sort of F&B colours but much cheaper and really good coverage, here it is.

Overtly olive on a couple of walls, (Dulux) and magnolia on the others.

Rousette. We are using little green eggshell for our woodwork. Absolutely love it to paint with but since we are basically redecorating a whole house it's getting a little pricey!

Valspar Matt paint from B & Q. Done in the palest of green, it has a hint of sage/seaspray but very pale. One small wall on the landing is a plummish taupish greyish colour. The small window is dressed/draped with loads of white voile with two latte coloured chiffon scarves interwoven to break up the white. This all hides the grotty pine curtain pole. I've hung a long garland of silk vintage pinkish roses suitably/artistically from the end of the pole that is nearest the staircase. Looks brilliant. There is a driftwood mirror that came from a charity shop at the top of the stairs.
And the small wooden chest on the landing that holds the overflow toiletries is about to be painted in the two colours of paint we've used on the walls. Doors and skirtings are white. The carpet is the same colour as the driftwood mirror.
