New kitchen costs

This is inspired by another thread on here. As kitchen companies are so cagey about advertising their actual prices would anyone be willing to post where they got their kitchen from within the the last couple of years, room size/number of units, how much it cost and what they think of it now it's in?

Ooh this is exactly the thread I need! I really want a new kitchen but I hate the hard sell they all have, I just want ideas on price.

Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch, shaker base units and largeish island made of 4x pan drawer units. Kitchen approx 3.5 by 5m , £7k for units only (no worktops, appliances etc) but the drawers are solid wood and units wood/ oak veneer on inside.

Ragusa how much did it cost to get them fitted?

We're having it fitted as part of a build so really hard to say as we aren't paying for it separately IYSWIM. sorry!

2 big tall cabinets, 8 other base units, 2 high wall cabinets, integrated dishwasher and coffee machine and double ceramic sink- £3k from IKEA

2 hide and slide ovens, warming drawer, gas hob, small undercounter fridge for my business - £1700 from a local independent

Quooker boiling tap - £900 online

Mirrored Quartz worktop - £1700

World's most beautiful wall tiles - £600

Vinyl flooring - £900

All labour and fitting of everything has been us though...

6 single & 5 double high wall cabinets (2 of them glazed)
2 single, 3 double and 1 4-drawer base units. 1 wide pan drawer
6 end panels
ceramic sink + chrome tap
hob & double oven. Extractor fan.
8 under wall unit lights, 2 internal wall unit lights, chrome handles

all from Howdens £5500 + £2500 to fit.
Granite work top with was about £1800 extra including the fitting

wowfudge no, no wall units, aside from apull out larder and tall oven housing. Having open shelving instead so I can indulge my crockery habit

This company does interesting tiles although beware their long lead times. As we discovered today "in stock" acrually means in stock.... in Morocco"

Habibi interiors do good tiles as well.

They are a fucking nightmare for an amateur to fit though. They are looking so good as I put them up, I can't wait to see the end result.

New oven/extractor/hob/dishwasher all indesit 20% discounted.

There was cupboard discount at the time and all in all it came to just over £6k. Around £2.4k was fitting.
This was last year in April and very happy...installers were brilliant and their electrician did some other work for us separately too.
They used spare materials to box in weirdly placed pipes when they didn't have to too.
That was homebase. Wish we'd paid extra for tiling and flooring too!

Ooh ooh limesoda, DH fitted those tiles in our last kitchen (miss it, sob!) and they are truly fab!

We have some left over that we'll be using here Our cabinets are from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch (think we paid about 7k but we've not decided on an island yet so that will be extra) and our room is around 16' square. Haven't ordered the range cooker yet and the Smeg f/f is from our old house. All other appliances are already in the utility. Will be getting iroko worktops and marble for the island - no prices as yet.......

Are you having anything else done. We fitted a new kitchen last year and had a lot of plastering, lighting, new floor down etc and it was surprising how much extra we paid for work that was 't on the actual kitchen but needed doing.

This is all interesting info. We will have quite a large kitchen to refit once some building work is done in our new house. I've spent years with a poky little kitchen so it's an opportunity to get just what I want.

One of the reasons we went with Ikea was because their prices are transparent, couldn't be bothered with the rigmarole of other companies who quote and then offer 60% off for 'a limited time only'

We paid £2000 exactly for our units and 2 appliances (just under 4 years ago)

1 x full height larder unit
1 x 3/4 height larder unit + integral fridge to fit inside
1 x 60 cm unit for integrated oven with tray drawer beneath
1 x door for integrated dishwasher + dishwasher
1 x 60cm under sink drawer unit
2 x 40cm 3 drawer units
1 x 40 cm unit with internal drawers
5 x 50cm units with internal drawers
1 x glass fronted wall cabinet
Price also includes all handles, various plinths, side panels, soft closures etc. for all drawers/cupboards

We had ours done just before Christmas. Paid 2700 for units from TDK (6 wall, 2 wide pan drawers, 5 base units and a curved end) 750 for fitting, 2200 for quartz worktops, 1500 for range, 1300 for fridge, 400 for sink and taps, 600 for dishwasher and microwave, 600 for floor. Still needs either tiles or splashback behind range (indecisive!)

Still can't believe I spent that much but it is beautiful.

Thanks to those who have posted so far. You have great looking kitchens. We are looking for a classic, probably shaker style kitchen (period house). I really like curved end cupboards. Not so keen on inframe doors. We'll have an L shaped run of units, broken in the corner for cellar access and a large island with a dining area beyond that. I am so looking forward to not having to go down to the cellar for kitchen stuff!

wow which brands are you looking at? I've got millions of catalogues here with different shaker ranges of all different budgets, passed on from a friend whom has just chosen hers. I surprised myself thinking i was shaker through and through, but I'm rather fancying j handless matt white (no natural light in back of kitchen) and milestone Lyra or similar with copper or black taps.

I paid £4,500 for 2 sets of wide pan drawers, oven housing with under-plinth drawer, corner cupboard, under-sink cupboard, integrated dishwasher housing, 6 tall wall cupboards, end panels, oven, hob, dishwasher, extractor fan, sink, tap and tiles for splashback. Fitting and electricity costs were part of the costs of the extension as a whole. Lights and handles were around £250 more.

So far we've looked at Wickes and Magnet in the showrooms and I've looked online at all sorts - Howdens, a company local to where we're moving, Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch, Naked Kitchens and numerous others. I haven't been on an all out mission as I've plenty of other stuff to do and there's always the possibility things don't go to plan. DP is anti fitting an IKEA kitchen (although he's had one before and liked it). It doesn't have to be real wood, just look good and wear well.

And laminate worktop, too.

Oh, yes, and a tall broom cupboard.
