Dizzy
That house is straight out of my big fat gypsy wedding.....
Speechless

shattereddreams · 30/09/2012 09:17

To be fair, it is immaculate. Hours of dusting..... Can you imagine a toddler in there

blueshoes · 30/09/2012 09:17

Northern, I thought the first house would be much worse, but it is fine in a boutique hotel way. Once the furniture comes out, the wallpaper would be much more jarring. But I assume it would be a simple cosmetic job to take it down and repaint or put a different wallpaper.

I would find the kitchen a bit more of a concern. There does not seem to be enough storage! Doesn't look like the previous owners cooked much.

HereLittleKitty · 30/09/2012 09:18

I love it, I would LOVE that house!

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 30/09/2012 09:20

I love both if the York houses. The Liverpool one reminds me if the faux-posh woman in Shirley valentine.

Northernlurker · 30/09/2012 09:52

Blueshoes - if you look at the floorplan there is a 'pantry' off the kitchen so I think that must account for the majority of the storage. There is also a utility room. Personally I would have included pics of both of those! For the practically minded amongst us Grin

Cunning - your dh is WRONG Grin. In the recent flooding - the second worst in a 100 years, only about 50 properties have been flooded and most of them ALWAYS flood so are prepared. Both the houses linked are at the top of hills. The Priory Street one in particular could be flooded by an end of the world scenario but not otherwise. The flood defences in York are excellent now.

I'm just thinking how chuffed the estate agents will be with me - they'll be able to report tons of hits to their clients Grin

The Crosby house - oh my word! Looks like a decent sie house but it's hard to tell. I would actually be reluctant to view it because it looks like if you move you'll knock something over. Do you reckon the agents told them to declutter Grin

I want that second York house A LOT

Kaloobear · 30/09/2012 10:02

I live in York. My teeny terrace does not look anything like either of those houses. I am Envy

Starshaped · 30/09/2012 10:53

Dizzy's link is a sight to behold. Errh...wow!

ArbitraryUsername · 30/09/2012 13:54

I bet the owners of the Liverpool house think they've decluttered. It was probably even worse before.

The back garden actually looks like a garden centre. And the rest is like a gaudy nick-nack shop with sofas in it.

Silibilimili · 30/09/2012 14:00

Love the second York house.

MarshaBrady · 30/09/2012 14:09

Lovely house.

MmeLindor · 30/09/2012 14:14

oooh, I love that first one, but the kitchen looks odd. Like they have taken an important piece of furniture out.

Hmm. Were going for all white, but I think we need some colour. Must start a thread sometime for advice.

Viviennemary · 30/09/2012 14:20

I think it's really nice. Apart from that wallpaper.

SomeoneThatYouUsedToKnow · 30/09/2012 14:21

I love those houses and I love York. I prefer a detached house though, just in case you get awful neighbours.

MarshaBrady · 30/09/2012 14:22

The cow rug can go and not keen on the furniture; kitchen sofa, chair or the deep purple. But such a nice light house.

Not my taste, but looks in pristine conditions... I would have to buy a different kitchen though. Plus change the wall papers.

Francagoestohollywood · 30/09/2012 14:28

The house itself (outisde) is wonderful

Francagoestohollywood · 30/09/2012 14:29

Dizzy's house is incredible!!!

Northernlurker · 30/09/2012 14:42

Someone - you can't see terribly well from the picture but it's actually an end terrace so you only have neighbours on one side. Also out the back and across the way is a yummy little medieval church.
