I love it!

Wigeon · 29/09/2012 19:41

Wow! And the tiles in the hallway (second to last picture)! That bit looks like a Roman villa somehow. Reminds me a bit of the Soane Museum.

But the garden is a bit small, and the decor a bit muted, so I'll take the first house please Grin!

wonkylegs · 29/09/2012 19:42

Wow that's a gorgeous staircase

Wigeon · 29/09/2012 19:42

Do you have matching deep purple carpet too, Saggy?!

Nice wallpaper - where do you have it? Would look nice in a bedroom.

LilQueenie · 29/09/2012 19:45

My parents had that wallpaper in the late 80's.

Tuttutitlookslikerain · 29/09/2012 19:45

I love the first house.

I couldn't live in the second one, I have to have a stair lift so would end up with motion sickness everytime I went up or downstairs!

hermioneweasley · 29/09/2012 19:45

I think it's an utter bargain - large 4 bed with garden in York city centre for

BerylStreep · 29/09/2012 19:47

I like both of them.

I adore wallpaper in bathrooms, and I think they have done a really nice job.

The staircase in no 2 is fab, although not sure about the lime green paper on the chimney breast downstairs, or in fact the flooring in the games room, but overall it is really nice.

Are you actually looking to move, or just browsing?

hugoagogo · 29/09/2012 19:47

Oh that staircase Shock I am actually in love.

Northernlurker · 29/09/2012 19:50

Beryl - no not moving, just lusting. I like those tiles too - but think how cold they'd be - and you couldn't put a stairgate on the regency beauty. Although - actually my dd3 is old enough now not to need one....so all I need is the million pouns and I'll move in!
I really don't the living area wallpaper in the first house tbh - but the bathrrom and bedroom is ok and I do really like the kitchen.

Second house is fabulous

lostinindia · 29/09/2012 21:37

I've just put a decal blackboard sheet on my kitchen wall. It's basically a huge blackboard sticker. Perhaps you could get a steel sheet and stick the decal to it? The magnets would then work through the blackboard. I bought my sheet off ebay.

lostinindia · 29/09/2012 21:38

arrgh wrong thread - sorry.

Someone lens me £665,000?

nameuschangeus · 30/09/2012 07:35

Lend

ArbitraryUsername · 30/09/2012 07:37

They clearly haven't heard of 'decluttering'. The bedroom looks like a particularly naff funeral parlour.

CunningPlan · 30/09/2012 07:44

Houses in York are lovely but as my husband pointed out VERY floody

ArbitraryUsername · 30/09/2012 07:46

To be clear, I was talking about the Liverpool house, btw.

fluffygal · 30/09/2012 07:53

Ooh I have that wallpaper in my living room! Only on the fireplace with a wood burning stove and white walls. My house is a lot smaller then that one though and would drown if it was all over the walls.

QOD · 30/09/2012 07:57

See if I had my shoes in a cupboard, you'd open the door and pass out from the fumes.....

Love that decor, my house is bland of blandsville

We've never had the spare cash to tart it up, finally we have!! Haven't done much yet although dh is currently adding an en suite to the main bedroom wohoooo

(We will still paint it a bloody boring bland colour though)

Rhubarbgarden · 30/09/2012 08:02

That second house is beautiful. That staircase! Oh my.

Not so keen on the first one, but I've seen far worse. I hate what they've done to the garden though.

ArbitraryUsername · 30/09/2012 08:04

Rhubarb: you need to look at dizzy's link. It's... Erm... Stunning.

ThorPhowargh · 30/09/2012 08:09

Oh my goodness, I feel sick with claustrophobia looking at dizzy's link so much clutter, makes my house look minimalist!
That staircase is beautiful but I'm far too lazy to live in a house with that many stairs Blush

blueshoes · 30/09/2012 09:13

Dizy's house is hilarious. Particularly like the bedroom ...
