and if you need two bedrooms, how about this gorgeous 2 bed flat for £750,000 ??

But who in their right mind buy a 600k, 650 sf, detached one bed house?

Utter madness. There's no way they'll sell it in this climate - one of those houses conceived in an insane upswing.

The first one reminds me of a neighbour of ours in SE London who built a 'house' on their side return - about the width of a garage - and sold that as a one-bed house with its own garden. The madness was they included their garden (a large one belonging to a 4 bed house) to the sale, keeping only a patio area for themselves. And then tried to sell it for a fortune, thinking that big glass windows and "high end" appliances would convince someone to fall for it buy it.

It's good for me to look at these things though, because we've just bought a house in Kent in the same price range, and I occasionally wonder what I've done leaving London and contemplating whether we've gone mad buying not-enough-for-the-money. But it doesn't come close!
