is private REALLY better?

just out of interest, i would appreciate some OPINIONS on this area as i am seriously considering the move to private from state. The main reason being is we are now financially able to do so.

So, is it better and why?

we got her in a place, she was on a waiting list and a place came up. We are very happy.

I have done both for my children and it really is a case of 'you pay the money and you take a chance !!' In other words, you will never know unless you try it.

Id say nowadays yes... before I would have said no...

Only nowadays your kid is less likely to get stabbed for looking at the bully when being bullied or be surrounded by knife cring gang members looking for recruits
