My daughter is doing well in school especially literacy. Not so sure about math. What year would you say this math homework is targeted for?

Some of it would be introduced in yr2 rest in yr3, they changed it a few years ago to introduce things earlier and then reinforce the following year. But I wouldn't worry about buying the books they can be a bit dry, BBC Bitesize, and maths videos on youtube are more engaging.

In our school, these books are used as a very gentle introduction to timed work.
Kids get 20 minutes and told to do as much as they can. no extra paper, all mental
math!
They’ll all finish section A
Almost all finish section B
many finish section C
They can jump questions within a section and come back to them later, but need to finish a section before going to the next one.
They then check for mistakes by themselves , and only they know their “scores”. They all know that you can answer all questions but have less correct answers than someone who only did A and B. Works pretty well

Year 4...ish... It's a right mixture though. Some of it is more like Year 2 level.

But it's the wording of the questions that brings it up higher. And the fact it's such a hodgepodge suggests it's an activity aimed at the older children to try and bring their response speeds up.
