@CrumbsThatsQuick

Lost relatives Caretaker Business Lunch Arrested Dance Studio Very specific place and people names Pulled it off ASAP

Not the content/vocabulary of a 6 year olds writing.

My DS has been having business lunches since he was 4. He does try to take breaks from work, but those deadlines won't meet themselves. Wink

The handwriting is very neat and the spelling is OK. There is definitely a lack of variety in the sentences, which is really what they’re looking for these days and paragraphs are very important. She’s used apostrophes correctly which is good but there is a lack of variety in her punctuation. It’s always good to try to get a semi colon, brackets, exclamation mark, question mark etc in. Basically, writing these days is all about the spelling and grammar rather than imaginative content sadly.

Handwriting: age 13-14
Content: a few years younger than that, probably 11-12.

Very least aged 10, at most aged 14, thought it would need to be a very young young 14.

Year 5/6 unless they're an extremely talented 6yo. I think we have a few bullshitters on this thread👀

I promise you it's not.

The grammar must be broadly correct, but you can't reach greater depth unless the content is good.

Hard to read as the image is too small. The sentences are very repetitive. The child hasn't used paragraphs. The sentence starters need to be varied. Lots of use of then or and. I would say it is a very average year 4 / year 5 child. Things to work on would be:
paragraphing
Conjunctions
range of openers
range of punctuation
developing vocabulary e.g. noun phrases
