My 7 year old in year 3 came home today with a new book for reading at home he opened the book and handed it to me. The first line of the book opens with swearing. Do you think this is appropriate?

Thanks @lovelyissues. Glad it's not just me. I know it's easy to judge from afar but all children are different......Sad

That's an older teens book, however the cover can sometimes come across for a younger age. Perhaps the school have had it donated as a library book and have put it in the wrong age group not realising. Take it back and point it out. They've either take it out or move it to an appropriate age.

"Arsene Wenger, former manager of Arsenal..." in a child's football annual?
