Smiggle ones are a fave in our house!

Nuttynoo · 22/08/2017 20:45

Superdry

cherrypez · 22/08/2017 20:45

Hype here for DDs 9 and 10

Jaynesworld · 22/08/2017 20:46

School book bag like this.

CreamCheeseBrownies · 22/08/2017 20:46

One likes school rucksacks for all the pockets. The other, anything Smiggle. We covered the cost of a normal rucksack and she saved up to cover the extra.

Lea060398 · 22/08/2017 20:46

Anything Minecraft-related. I wish my DD was into Smiggle, their bags are fab Smile

thatorchidmoment · 22/08/2017 20:50

We bought a Herschel rucksack (not one of the massive things, just a standard sized backpack) a year ago and it's had a good battering. Looks pretty much new. Bought a Lego key ring for the zip, and DS was happy to have it for another year! I may add/change keyring next year if I can get away with it again...

Skip Hop Zoo ones are really cute, the unicorn is our favourite

Eastpaks. Fairly indestructible, machine washable, and they come with a guarantee. Padded straps a bonus as they have Ehlers Danlos syndrome, and dislocate easily

leccybill · 22/08/2017 20:55

Looking for inspiration for 7yo DD too. She likes one from Paperchase but it's an eye watering £32 or something like that.

Titsywoo · 22/08/2017 20:59

DS had one like this for year 5

SmitheringSmithison · 22/08/2017 20:59

Year 5 daughter has chosen this one, www.sportsdirect.com/hot-tuna-tuna-galaxy-b-pack00-715177?colcode=71517793

SuperBeagle · 22/08/2017 21:02

Two of ours are are at a school with a bag that's part of the uniform.

Toddler DD takes a Fjallraven Kanken Mini to daycare though. And I have the regular one. They're fab.

RatOnnaStick · 22/08/2017 21:02

Ds1 chose a plain red one off Amazon. No brand. He doesn't carry enough yet (yr2), to warrant a big expensive one.

TwatteryFlowers · 22/08/2017 21:02

My dc use a bog standard bookbag with a strap, as pictured upthread, for their reading and homework books.

For their pe kits (and as a general purpose rucksack when out & about) they use these funky and colourful bags from Amazon

TwatteryFlowers · 22/08/2017 21:04

Gosh, ignore me. I read your op wrong and thought it said 4, 5 & 6 y old dc Blush

MintCassis · 22/08/2017 21:06

Sorry, I read it as age 4, 5 & 6 too Blush

BarbarianMum · 22/08/2017 21:06

Ds2 (Y5) has a Hype one, chosen more for the colour/size than the brand (I think/ hope).

leccybill · 22/08/2017 21:14

DD quite likes this one

And this one

wildbhoysmama · 22/08/2017 21:16

DS3, age 5, needs to use school branded rucksack, means everyone's the same and bonus at £8 from school. Book bag is £6. Bargain.
But if it helps the flowery adidas ones are v popular with older girls this year or Cath Kidston ( our kids already back to school in Scotland and going by what they're all wearing at the school gate).

TwoBobs · 22/08/2017 21:17

One from Accessorize that she chose herself. My ds has one from Smiggle.

trinity0097 · 22/08/2017 21:20

This will probably be really outing, but lots of kids where I work have cabin baggage, the pull along suitcase type things. They're a pain in the classroom as you can't hang them on a peg or the back of a chair like a ruck sack, but they don't have to lug heavy books around on their back/shoulder they just wheel their stuff around.

The older kids usually resort to bags for life as they have so many lever arch files in the run up to CE! The games kit back gets strung around their neck/shoulders and at least one bag for life with books/folders!

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 22/08/2017 21:21

Hype here. Blue one that looks like water.

There are soooooo many colours.

leccybill · 22/08/2017 21:23

Oh those Adidas floral ones look really nice, (I might get one for me )wildbhoy
