"a lot more earlier" Shock
Yet your name suggests you're a teacher?!

TheDetective · 08/07/2013 22:11

Well, my DS has level 5's. He was a borderline 4/5.

He got 94 in the maths. Should have done the L6 paper Grin.

I've just rung my mum (headteacher) and she is now on the phone to the y6 teacher. So thanks for the info!

londonTeachLOL · 08/07/2013 22:17

You can feel the steam coming out of their ears!!! - seeeeethinggg!!!!

TheDetective · 08/07/2013 22:24

Bugger. No he isn't! They've just rechecked. He got 35 in English. Remarking it is!

Feenie · 08/07/2013 22:24

So, you've worked out all your levels, and analysed everything before the deadline, checked you re-marks, written all your SAT reporting forms - all based on the wrong information, yes?

And you wanted us to take the word off some herbert on the internet and do the same?

But we're the idiots? Confused

Feenie · 08/07/2013 22:26

You'll have to find a reason first, TheDetective. Could be done though Smile

londonTeachLOL · 08/07/2013 22:37

Yup checked, done and dusted...just doubled checked it was ME that got the eng wrong...our assessment coordinator knew it was 45..i said wrong on 44...so very sorry! - originally was just discussing the Level 5 scores as i knew the 36 for reading would throw a few people out...so gave them a heads up! (hope it helped a few people get sorted today in school)

does seem strange now that there was a rant yesterday about how i could not possibly know the levels and it was all pure speculation and how irresponsible i was to post false info that i could not possibly know!!! looks like my prettily wrapped up guess had a bow on it!

I wasnt asking anyone to take this herberts word for it..I was telling you what the Levels would be...

You could have ignored/not read and not even commentated if you thought it was all bollocks!

just couldn't help yourself could you!

you live and learn eh!

Feenie · 08/07/2013 22:52

You got Maths wrong, not 'eng'. Keep up.

No one would have been daft enough to take some stranger off the net's word - it would have been idiotic. You did suggest 'playing with data' using your info on Monday morning, which would have been ridiculous, no one knows you.

Why didn't you post on TES, if you were feeling so benovolent? I think you'd have got even shorter shrift there for exactly the same reasons.

Hope that mole of yours is sleeping soundly tonight.

GetStuffezd · 09/07/2013 06:25

Please could someone link me to the official thresholds?

mrz · 09/07/2013 06:46

I hope you do live and learn london but I suspect you won't

Feenie · 09/07/2013 06:54

London, are you male?

GetStuffezd · 09/07/2013 07:28

Thanks mrz

Feenie · 09/07/2013 08:14

Just talked to a lady on the assessments helpline because our Y6 teacher managed to lock me out of the nca website - they are VERY interested as to how the level thresholds came to be online at 11.16 Sunday morning, and are investigating, btw.

Just so you know. Smile

lborolass · 09/07/2013 11:51

As a parent I've found this thread to be very interesting, I wasn't aware of how SATs are graded so thanks to all the posters for the info.

When are your schools letting parents know their child's results?

Feenie · 09/07/2013 12:34

Today for us, with reports (so there, PastBy!)

spanish11 · 09/07/2013 13:54

I have just foundbout that my DS got al level 6 on math. I am so happy.

Blueberry68 · 12/07/2013 17:52

We haven't had any results from our school yet - does anyone have any idea if that is normal timescale?

mrz · 12/07/2013 18:04

any time before the end of the year

lottysmum · 12/07/2013 19:59

Interesting thread...my DD has not got all her results yet although her maths was a 5B which was inline with predictions ...although in saying this she didnt finish one of the papers (last 4 questions were not answered) I assume down to time constraints (or may have gone into daydream)... I know the pass mark was 79% for a grade 5...so assume she is somewhere between 86-93%? I'm pleased Maths has been a roller coaster ride because she doesn't really like the subject...

Also I know there are teachers on here .. but she loves science and said she has just completed a key stage 3 paper witha score of 80% so assume this is working at level 6 ... even though they have not covered some of the questions in the test yet...

mrz · 12/07/2013 20:08

The tests only give a level 5 (not a, b or c)

Ruprekt · 12/07/2013 20:58

DS got an overall English mark of level 5 but we did not have anything in particular about the SPAG test.

Is that right?
