I just googled high frequency words year 1 and they came up. Not sure what site it was now, but imprinted out flash cards from there.

Give me a while to find the file where I keep the list of useful websites I send home to my Year 2 parents. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

These are the ones that we use in school.

www.twinkl.co.uk in the Literacy, Letters and Sounds section there are some High Frequency Word resources

www.letters-and-sounds.com/

www.communication4all.co.uk/http/literacynew.htm - word mats

www.lancsngfl.ac.uk/nationalstrategy/literacy/index.php?category_id=303

Not sure how much you know about what is taught when, but Letters and Sounds aims ?
Phase 1 Nursery and continues throughout the rest of the Phases
Phases 2 ? 4 = Reception
Phase 5 = Year 1
Phase 6 = Year 2
But obviously that depends on the individual child.

I think you are confusing me with someone else. Hmm

I just said 'Oh dear' because teaching children lists of HFWs is not a very good way to teach them to read.

Why not just buy the Jolly Phonics Handbook, or Phonics International (google for the website) and do it properly?

I'll have a glass too, msz...
