Hi Ladies,
Just wondering if you would like to give me your opinions on male teachers in primary schools and whether you think there are enough of them, feel free to be honest and straightforward.

I am currently training to be a teacher and have the task of researching and discovering what parents and adults in general think about Male primary school teachers and whether there is a connection to the bad publicity and the fact that there are less than female teachers?

I have done all my research regarding statistics and facts and figures, but would love to know how the general public and parents feel about this matter/topic.

Thank you for participating, I look forward to reading your replies.

Op, I think people are just worried. It's not healthy to think all male are potentially dangerous to your dd. They consist half of the population.
I just hope you won't transfer your worry to your dds.

Rightgirl you've obviously had a terrible experience that is clouding your judgement and as a consequence you see any male as a danger to your child. You don't seem to understand how irrational this mistrust is and how harmful it can be to your child. We all want children to be safe but keeping them isolated isn't the answer. As I've already said statistics don't support your belief about the danger male teachers and young boys pose to your child. By all means teach your child how to stay safe but don't pass on your mistrust.
