Can anyone recall it. It is a fictional story set out like a blog. It was linked to on a preppers thread I was on before we got our own topic (in chat iirc)

I found it quite interesting. But quite amateurish in a lot of ways, - the actual writing, and what the problems/successes might be in the situation. What did you think? I found it gripping enough to read in one sitting.

It's addictive. V good, but addictive. Just finished it, and have done feck all but read the last couple of days.

God alone knows why it hasn't been published, even on Kindle.

I need to reread it. What does everyone think. An accurate portrayal of how things might be if you have no power for that long?

Pretty accurate, although I think the majority would struggle considerably more - houses with fireplaces to cook in and gardens big enough to grow food for an extended family are not the norm.

Good point, they had a good set up to get through it. I wonder how townsfolk in blocks of flats would deal with it. I must reread because I can't quite remember it, but I do remember thinking they made their food last an awfully long time and wasnt sure of the realism of that. We eat a hell of a lot in our house!

Someone should maybe contact Suzanne Goldring or the writers group and suggest that maybe she should try for a publication of it. It wouldn't be expensive given that it's already written - and is also (presumably) on Word or something similar - and it might be quite successful as well as an interesting read for a wider circle than this board.

I'd buy it on Kindle, at a reasonable price. It's too short to be a full length book but there are plenty of other short stories and novellas on there. I think anyone can self-publish on Kindle, too.
