Abortion help please :(

I’ve just found out I am pregnant, judging by my last period I could be about 8 weeks, 9 weeks Tuesday.
Im not with the father, this has happened because I was moving and ended up missing two of my pills.
I already have children, I’ve just started a new job, financially I cannot afford it and tbh I’ve only just been able to have a bit of me time while all my kids are in full time school.
I’ve decided to have an abortion, I have a doctors appointment tomorrow because I tried contacting BPAS and they don’t cover my area
I am absolutely petrified. I don’t know what to expect, what if it isn’t successful, how much pain am I going to be in..
I just really need some words of reassurance right now and to hear some experiences and what people would advise is the best sort of abortion to have?
Because of covid a lot of places are making you take the tablets at home but I’m scared I won’t do that right and the pregnancy will continue.
Then if I have a surgical what if they miss it and the pregnancy continues that way?
I am so scared. I’m in limbo. I really could just do with a big hug right now and some friendly advise.

Hi girls, I’ve just had my scan I’m 6 weeks 3 days. I’ve taken the first tablet and heading home to chill in bed. I still feel absolutely fine, just want it to be home and have it all over with x

Hello😘 Tomorrow about 12pm. I could leave it till Friday but I don’t want to prolong it. No bleeding yet, been 3 hours since first tablet. Some period type pains but nothing really xxx

I’m absolutely fine right now babe. Still no blood loss, was hoping things would have started by now. Just gonna go up to bed and chill out a bit. I feel like a blob. Don’t know if it’s relief or what xx

Just an update girls. I’ve just done my second lot of tablets. I had a tiny little bit of blood exactly 24 hours after I took my first tablet. I do have some period type pains right now but I’m gonna curl in a ball in bed and try and sleep it away. Got to finish the second dose in 3 hours they go under the tongue. Just wanna keep you updated incase anyone sees this in future going through what I have been and feels scared about it. Obviously everyone is different xx

Just taken the last 2 tablets. Bleeding now not heavy but not light, pains manageable at the moment too, just like a bad period cramp but also like when you have mild braxton hicks. Did have a little cry but not because I regret this or feel guilty or sad, it’s just hormones I just got emotional not over anything. Taken 2 cocodamol to try and sleep and also using a hot water bottle. I have been told the further along you are it can be a little more painful. But I’m doing okay. Again only updating incase anyone is in this boat in the future and is as petrified as I was x

I had a miscarriage around this stage and did experience waves of contractions which lasted a few hours. Then a little more on and off for a couple of days, and dizziness.

I think I’ve passed everything now, pains have eased massively and I just feel a bit meh. I’m hoping I feel well enough to go to work tomorrow but I’m not gonna push myself if I don’t feel ready.

Final update girls. I’ll put it this way again just incase anyone’s in the same boat as me in the future and as scared as I was.
Wednesday 11am I took the first tablet.
Thursday 11am I had one teeny bit of blood.
Thursday 11:30 I inserted the 4 tablets, waited until 1:30 to have a wee and started streaking. 2:30 I popped the final 2 tablets under my tongue and left them dissolve for half hour. I had started bleeding heavily within this hour, I got frightened and didn’t use the toilet until 5:30/6 when I finally went I felt I passed everything. My pad was saturated. I applied a new pad and went to bed.
Woke up at 3 my pad was half soaked from what I noticed. Went back to bed and woke up at 10. Not heavy bleeding. I’m not heavy bleeding now which is a good sign of everything being passed judging by what my leaflet the hospital gave me said.
The pain wasn’t unbearable like I had read. BUT if you haven’t had children before I can see how this would be difficult to go through. I woke up this morning and literally have absolutely no symptoms already.
I have slight cramping in one side of my stomach which I’m gonna phone the hospital about just to be safe. Minimum bleeding, they said it would be like a period but Ive never had heavy periods.
Not feeling sad or guilty still, I feel back to normal and honestly it was the best decision for me.
I won’t ever do it again, I can honestly say that. It wasn’t traumatising like I was led to believe but I wouldn’t do it again.
I hope this helps someone who might be in a similar position to what I was. I’m not embarrassed by it. Because I know it was the right thing for me.
I can’t thank the girls on here enough for the support, I was a stranger frightened of being judged and everyone of you helped me and comforted me, I’ll be forever grateful x

Hey OP. Had a tablet at home abortion in September. I was scared too but I was so surprised at how
Lovely the staff were at Marie stopes and the aftercare and counselling was amazing. The procedure wasn’t nice (obviously) but I was told that in some ways the surgical option is better as it’s quicker and you bleed less (according to the nurse) have a scan first to check the dates as they can offer a tablet one up to nine weeks I believe. I thought I was 9 weeks but I was six and one day xxx

@Strawberry33 honestly the staff at the hospital I attended were super lovely too. I was dreading it cause I thought they were gonna judge me but they were so lovely too.
I also thought i was 9 weeks but ended up being 6 weeks 3 days! I don’t feel like I’m going to need counselling, but they’ve said it’s there if I need it.
I’ve just phoned the hospital as my blood loss after I’d passed everything is very low. But they said that’s normal too. But I feel really well today and it was definitely the right choice for me. I hope you’re doing okay xxx
