Period was due yesterday. Just done a cheap test and this appeared.

So, er, is this a line?

Does Bob know about Joe at all?

TerribleCustomerCervix · 08/04/2021 17:45

What ages are your existing children?

I know people are saying to forget about Joe and Bob and think about what you want, but you’ve also got responsibilities to two other people who with be massively affected by this, even more so if you’re a single mum.

Whatalota · 08/04/2021 17:47

2 primary age and one teen.
No they don’t know about eachother. But bob and I never said we were exclusive, but we see eachother a lot

*one primary age that should say. Fat fingers!

My friend was in the exact same situation. She ended up terminating the pregnancy and regrets it so much.

Please have a long thing about what YOU want.

Whatalota · 08/04/2021 18:26

@ReginaaPhalange I’m so sorry for your friend.
My decision is all I can think about. I literally change my mind by the minute. I’m so drained

ReginaaPhalange · 08/04/2021 18:31

@Whatalota she was younger and has been able to have another child once she settled down but still, it has affected her.

Any decision you make will affect you and baby's dad. You need to take your time with this decision. Don't speak to Bob until you 100% know what you're going to do.

You will probably have already asked yourself these questions, but how is life with your DC now? Would a baby have any negative affect on them, would you have support around you? If you're working, can you afford to take the full maternity leave?

You sound very sensible and I have no doubt that the decision you make will be the best one.

Don't let anyone tell you what you should do.

Sending you lots of hugs xx

Whatalota · 08/04/2021 19:11

Oh @ReginaaPhalange you made me cry. Thanks for being so lovely.
My DC can be a handful(who’s can’t) but we’d manage.
I’m worried that if I make my decision, one way or another, that bob will want the opposite. And let’s face it, whichever decision I make, I won’t be 100% certain it’s the right decision!xx

ReginaaPhalange · 08/04/2021 19:13

@Whatalota end of the day, you need to be prepared that he will want the opposite to you. He might surprise you and want to be involved.

DoThePropeller · 08/04/2021 19:26

Very high risk pregnancy would be a concern for me in your shoes - largely if it’s your health at risk more so than potential baby, don’t forget about the very real children you already have in this decision too.

Mummyto3GBG · 08/04/2021 19:31

I’m guessing you bring up your other 2 children by yourself at least half the week so are fairly aware of what to expect if either doesn’t want to be involved. I would really try and take it a day at a time and try not to put too much pressure on yourself to make the decision, this was my mistake I got myself in such a state and panicked, you defo sound much more sensible and together than I am . Xx

Shutupyoutart · 08/04/2021 20:27

You sound so overwhelmed op i hope your ok. Honestly its such early days take a little while to let yourself process and figure out how you feel about this before worrying about bob or joe. A few extra days won't hurt. Im so glad you have confided in your friend it sounds like you need rl support. while i think its lovley how concerned you are for Bob it's important that you consider yourself and dc first in all this.xx

Whatalota · 09/04/2021 10:53

Good morning. I’m feeling slightly more sane today I think. GP is calling this afternoon. My pregnancies are high risk at no risk to me. Let’s just say my other DC are fit and healthy after a tough start. Don’t want to say too much incase I out myself

OP posts:
normalsaline · 10/04/2021 17:38

Stop worrying about Bob, think about yourself and your kids!

firsttimemummy321 · 10/04/2021 17:42

@Whatalota how are you doing? How was the chat with your gp?

Whatalota · 10/04/2021 18:38

Hi. GP wasn’t very helpful at all. She’s sending my details to the antenatal dept, so that’s in motion if I decide to go down that route.
I’ve started spotting today though

OP posts:
espressoontap · 10/04/2021 22:03

Hope all ok @Whatalota - has the spotting stopped?

Whatalota · 10/04/2021 22:26

Not yet. It’s only when I wipe really. Sort of pale pink/brown

OP posts:
espressoontap · 10/04/2021 22:42

Hope all ok. Any cramps or anything? Bleeding is quite common early pregnancy, hopefully it will settle. How are you feeling? X

HopingForABetterYear · 10/04/2021 23:03

I had pale pink/ brown, then red spotting for weeks with my last pregnancy

Whatalota · 10/04/2021 23:10

This is quite ‘normal’ for me. I’m feeling ok though. No cramping, just a pulsating sensation like I can feel my heartbeat, in my hoo-haa!! That’s a new one for me
Still not told bob. Going to wait until I know how I feel about everything first

OP posts:
TheresAnEyeInMeSoup · 10/04/2021 23:19

Another one here saying you need to think about yourself and your kids.

Hope you're feeling ok, just do what is right for you. One day at a time xx

Whatalota · 10/04/2021 23:23

I’ve stopped stressing over bob for the time being. I’ve got a busy week coming up so I need to focus on myself. I’m still very much 50/50 on my decision. It’s terribly frustrating

OP posts:
Whatalota · 12/04/2021 09:20

My gp is calling the EPU to get me seen today hopefully. Probably too early for a scan to show anything but see what they say. What a rollercoaster

OP posts:
Shutupyoutart · 12/04/2021 09:54

I hope you do get seen today op will be thinking of you. Hope your doing ok x
