Hi everyone,
This is my first time on mumsnet, it took me a while to firstly find how to start my own thread and now that I'm here I'm not really sure what to say.

I'm about 6 weeks pregnant, I called BPAS and I had my consultation and the nurse then sent me my pill package in the post. I'm so scared and worried, I can't even sleep. I've taken my first pill, but the other 4 I'll insert tomorrow.

I've read so many horror stories and now I'm so scared. It's my first time pregnant, I don't want my family to know or worry, my fiancé knows, but he lives in another city and doesn't really know how to help me properly.

Please let me know what I should do, should I take codeine and ibuprofen 30 mins before taking the 4 pills? I'm just so scared, I'm so sorry 😭

Oh wow you poor thing! What a mystery and a rollercoaster! I’ve definitely heard of pregnancy of unknown location but you would have thought that with a digital test saying 2-3 weeks something would have been visible by now. Gosh, seems you have more questions than answers. When is your hospital scan? Hope they can shed more light on what’s causing the positive tests and where the pregnancy is if there is one. Big hugs to you and thanks for keeping us posted. Xx

Oh this is awful for you.
What a worry.
Hope you are okay xx

I have my appointment tomorrow for telephone assessment.

Since writing on this thread a few days ago I've received an inbox message urging me to rethink my decision. Not helpful

piglet81 · 03/12/2020 13:38

@Yellowcakestand can you report that to @MNHQ? Really sorry that someone has sent you such an un-called for message.

Winternights812 · 03/12/2020 13:45

@Winternights812 I hope you’re doing ok and managed to get some answers yesterday x

Winternights812 · 04/12/2020 10:38

Hey x
@Bettydot @Bohoboo thank you for checking up on me again xx

So after 3 hours at the hospital, I had the normal ultrasound and then a vaginal and both came out clear. The doctor thoroughly checked my ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus, she went up, down and around for ages just to make sure and there was nothing there.

My pregnancy test came back positive again, but it was a very faint line, the nurse said it should be because my HCG levels are falling now. But to make sure that is what's happening, they gave me a bloodtest. I will be receiving my results today/tomorrow, then I will be called in for another blood test, so they can note my HCG levels are decreasing and not increasing or staying the same; if they are staying the same, they will need to do another scan because that means I am still pregnant.

I hope not, I don't think I am, my period has also started today :)
Turns out, I didn't have an abortion and never had to take the pills after all, which is a relief for me, but the wait was the most agonising thing I've been through! It's almost over now xx

Thank you lovelies for all your reassurance and keeping me positive, I'll update once I've had my final blood test xxx

Wow @Winternights812 you poor thing. How absolutely perplexing.

Mel1917 · 04/12/2020 11:37

What a roller-coaster of a week or so for you! Hope you are OK xx

ChickaboomZoom · 04/12/2020 12:01

@Winternights812

Wow that’s so crazy! So do the doctors think you had a miscarriage? And maybe by the time you took the pills it was already ending on it’s own?
Glad that this wild ride is nearly over for you now and you can move forward. Big hugs! Xx

Bettydot · 04/12/2020 13:40

@Winternights812 I’m really glad you were able to get a better idea of what’s going on even though you still have some unanswered questions. What a week you’ve had, I hope you’re ok. I’m so glad it’s turned out that you never needed to have a termination, that must be a huge relief for you but I’m sorry that this wasn’t discovered before all the stress you’ve been through. I’m keeping everything crossed for tomorrow. I hope you’ll soon be able to put this all behind you xxx

Verrucapepper · 04/12/2020 13:50

OP what an absolute nightmare for you. I’m so sorry this wasn’t all clear before you had all the stress of the pills, what an emotional few weeks for you. Not much I can add except I’m really pleased your partner has been there for you. Be kind to yourself the coming months. 💐

Bettydot · 06/12/2020 14:05

@Winternights812 I hope your appointment went well yesterday and you’re ok x
