Hi everyone,
This is my first time on mumsnet, it took me a while to firstly find how to start my own thread and now that I'm here I'm not really sure what to say.

I'm about 6 weeks pregnant, I called BPAS and I had my consultation and the nurse then sent me my pill package in the post. I'm so scared and worried, I can't even sleep. I've taken my first pill, but the other 4 I'll insert tomorrow.

I've read so many horror stories and now I'm so scared. It's my first time pregnant, I don't want my family to know or worry, my fiancé knows, but he lives in another city and doesn't really know how to help me properly.

Please let me know what I should do, should I take codeine and ibuprofen 30 mins before taking the 4 pills? I'm just so scared, I'm so sorry 😭

Oh no poor you! That is a long wait... I would persist in calling them especially if you're in pain. X

@Winternights812
Gosh that is definitely way too long to wait, I would ring them back ASAP. Also very surprised they said it wasn’t ectopic without giving you a scan at A&E ... pretty sure they need to scan you to be sure. So sorry that you are in pain and really hope you can get some answers soon. There must be a way for you to get a scan sooner... Does your hospital have an early pregnancy unit?

@Winternights812 I hope you’re doing ok. I’ve just had a quick google and here are all the details for the Birmingham Early Pregnancy unit. They are able to see people from six weeks and I’m sure they’d be able to see you much sooner than the 10th. While you’d still have to wait for bpas to sort out your termination at least you’d be able to see what’s going on. You can ask not to be shown the scan on screen if you don’t want to see. I didn’t look at my scan when it was done but I asked them to put a scan picture in an envelope so I could look at it at a later point if I wanted to. Here are the details bwc.nhs.uk/early-pregnancy-assessment-epau-and-acute-gynaecology-serv

@Sillymare1 sorry to hear you’re going through this. It sounds like you’ve had a tough time. I’m sorry I’m not sure about the anti D you may find that the organisation you have your appointment with can answer your question or if you start a post on the main pregnancy choices board hopefully someone will know the answer. I hope it all goes ok for you.

@Mel1917 @ChickaboomZoom
Hey everyone, thank you so much for your continued support 💕

My fiancé ended up coming over because he was really worried, he is now driving me to the BPAS clinic which is an hour away. I woke up this morning with some cramping, but I've honestly given up on waiting to see any blood, the remaining pill residue began leaving me when I went toilet yesterday, but there's still more, they should've done their job by now :(

Thank you so much for checking up on me @chickaboomZoom @Bohoboo @Bettydot, it means so much! I was just so down I didn't even use my phone yesterday, I was emotional and just a mess. Thank you @Bettydot for taking your time out to search for places I could get a scan near me, you're the sweetest Flowers

And @opmamatrist thank you for your reassuring words x
I did call BPAS twice to try and get somewhere closer and explained my situation, but they said unfortunately they had nothing, and I'd have to wait if I could only attend somewhere closer, so I just took it x

I’m glad you’ve been able to get an appointment and I hope you get some answers. You will get through this. Make sure you keep talking to your fiancé about how you’re feeling and allow yourself time to process it all x

@ChickaboomZoom @Bettydot thank you xx
I'm here now, just waiting to be seen, my fiancé couldn't come in the building due to restrictions, so I had to come in myself, it's just spiked my anxiety even higher, I am a very introverted person, I had nervous butterflies all the way here :(

I hope I get seen soon and get some answers too, I'm just texting my fiancé, he's waiting for me in his car

@ChickaboomZoom so the lady at reception told me I can use the toilet before my scan to empty my bladder. I sat for 10 mins then decided to, because I needed it, after I came out, a nurse came to me with a urine sample bottle to do! Also, when I went just now, as I wiped there was some blood, but my urine was clear

I've just gulped down 3 cups of water, now back to the loo

@Winternights812 bless you we are with you. You’re going to be ok. I know how hard it is having to do it on your own I couldn’t take my husband in when I had my termination due to Covid but you’ve got this and your fiancé will be there for you as soon as you’re out. Thinking of you x

@Bettydot @ChickaboomZoom thank you so much x

Literally the worst case scenario when I got out of the clinic, my husband's car which is pretty new had a dead battery, then we had to wait for the RAC while I was bursting for the loo again, due to how much water I drank 😭

Update:
I had a vaginal scan, because it's too early for an ultrasound the nurse said. So upon scanning, she said there was nothing there, no egg, nothing. My ovaries were totally fine, my uterus was empty, she checked my right side and could kind of see my left; but not clearly. She has referred me for Birmingham hospital for a further scan just to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.

She showed me my scan and said there was no evidence of a sac even ever being in my uterus, or else there would be a white mark where I've miscarried. However, my pregnancy test came back positive again!

She said it's really weird that if it was a chemical pregnancy it's gone on so long, plus clearblue also said 2-3 weeks and tests are still positive. Now I be going tk hospital tomorrow to see if it's an ectopic or what's happening. I'm really confused at this point, such a weird occurrence...

@Winternights812 I’m really glad that you’ve had your scan, though I’m sorry you’re still not much clearer about what is happening. How are you feeling about it all? I’m glad they’ve managed to book you in tomorrow and I really hope you can get a proper idea of what’s going on then. I’ll be thinking of you and I’m keeping everything crossed for you that it’s not an ectopic pregnancy xxx
