As the title say. 19 yr old Dd has just told me she is pregnant (possibly 8 weeks) and has an appointment booked to collect a termination pack tomorrow.

She has to go alone and it all has to be done at home due to covid.

I've no experience of this, so if anyone would be willing to share experiences of what to expect I'd be really grateful.

I'm currently working from home so will at least be around.

Thank you.

@BluePringles sounds awful. Who’s the organisation?

NHS.

2nd lot taken and seems to be progressing. She's in a fair bit of pain and being sick a lot, not managing to eat but hopefully the worst of it will be over soon.

I keeping checking in to see how she is - hopefully the worst should be over by 5/6 tonight.
I felt really weak afterwards and so tired. It took me a good few days to recover. What a fabulous mum you are and she has a lovely boyfriend who is supporting her so well x

You really are an amazing mum. I'm disgusted at how she's been treated though! I had a termination in March and had to have 2 scans before they'd even give me anything at all. Hope she is OK but amazing she has such a good support network and felt able to talk to you x

Thanks so much everyone, I really appreciate you all checking in.

I think she might be over the worst, hopefully. She has eaten some soup and not been sick and even sat in on an online lecture so she wouldn't fall behind. So I think she's feeling a bit better although still a bit sore.

Her boyfriend has been great actually. Earlier this morning he was a bit rabbit in the headlights but he hasn't left her side and has been tidying up and making food/washing up/trying to be helpful so I am glad he has been here for her. I think it's made a real difference.

How long after she took the second tablet was she sick? I'd possibly be concerned that the tablet was expelled if it was quickly.

I hope she's okay. She is a really lucky girl to have such a supportive mum by her side :).

She hasn't been sick at all after the second lot of tablets (the under the tongue ones) she felt really sick but wasn't. She was sick several times this morning after the first lot but they were inserted so think that is ok and it was about an hour between putting them in and the sickness starting.

She has also been taking anti sickness tablets but they don't seem to be working that well.

Hopefully she is over the worst of the sickness now and all she has to do now is take the antibiotics (a week's worth) to be started tonight.

I'll be glad when today is over!! I've been in and out of work meetings with both my camera and microphone off running between the laptop and the bathroom. My colleagues must be wondering what I'm up to today.
