I'm 33 wks preg, so the rental agreement I've got with DD2 is up soon

But apart from missing her being snug in there, there are so many things I'm looking forward to, laying down in the bath, not having to wake up to turn over at night, and most of all having more than just three pairs of jeans to choose from in the morning

What can't you wait to do?

AgentZigzag · 20/11/2009 18:10

1mum1, I couldn't have got this far if it wasn't for peanut butter on toast...

My days of being pregnant are long gone but what I looked forward to the most was having ankles again. I had ankles in the morning and by the time I got downstairs the flopped over my slippers. The morning after giving birth I got out of bed and looked at my ankles and there they were!! They had come back!

mistletoekisses · 20/11/2009 18:13

Glass (or bottle) of champers
Getting back into my lovely wardrobe!
Being able to do normal housework/ gardening without tiring/ aching
Sleeping on my front
Being able to walk without getting achy hips!

But I equally am trying to enjoy all of this pregnancy - so am not wishing it by, DH and I are 99.9% sure that this LO one will be our last.

Tigresswoods · 20/11/2009 18:13

Oh and not having to mentally count the cups of tea I have in a day.

I am eating snickers and peanut butter on toast regulalry though. My Mum did and I think it is fine... for me.

EldonAve · 20/11/2009 18:17

booze
sleeping on my tum

GColdtimer · 20/11/2009 18:20

I can see a common theme. I can't wait to:

-sleep on my front
-wear high heels (am only 5ft so such a weebly short arse the moment)
-not feel like a weeble
-chilled white wine (drool)
-brie (double drool)

Firsttimer7259 · 20/11/2009 18:22

Gor.Gon.Zo.La

Oh and being able to walk, not waddle

BellasYummyMummy · 20/11/2009 18:26

brilliant thread,
am only 25 weeks so have a bit to go yet, but

sleeping on tummy
not waking up to agonising leg cramps!
feeling the pull of my heavy belly
getting back into shape
having a super hot steamy bath
not having swollen lady bits!
sex (am completely off it)
eating whatever i want without having to worry if its allowed
getting some function back in my agonising hips
wine
not falling asleep at 830 in the evening (though i imagine that will continue for awhile as i will have 2 LOs under 2 to run around after all day)
sleeping with my human sized pillow, takes up too much space!
waking to turn over at night
getting stuck when bending over to pick something up....

am sure there are loads more!!

AgentZigzag · 20/11/2009 18:27

Lol firsttimer, I'm walking like Roger the alien from American Dad at the min!

33 wks...

Just having this baby out of my stomach at the moment would be good - fed up
SPD gone (hopefully)
No more kicking/painful baby movements in tummy (sorry, but don't like it)
No more kicks on cervix (baby transverse/breech)
A really really good full body massage
Marques de Riscal Rioja - whole bottle please!
Pate
Fabulous cheeses
Have people smiling at me and new baby instead of looking at me with pity as I shuffle along with huge belly and crutches
Trying to get back into shape

And of course.... getting to meet and cuddle the new LO

MrsMc82 · 20/11/2009 19:54

ditto at looking forward to lying on my tummy to sleep and being able to sleep the whole night through (though with newborn guess this'll be unlikely!!!). Also looking forward to being able to breathing deeply and lastly i c an't wait till i stop being so bloody whingey all the time - i'm even boring myself now with my whining!!!!

MamaLazarou · 20/11/2009 21:22

What a brilliant idea for a thread!

We have wanted a baby so badly for so long that I feel a bit guilty even thinking these things... but since you asked, I can't wait to:

Sleep on my front
Eat interesting cheeses
Sit with my legs crossed
Have a really hot bath
Drink a large brandy or four
Stuff my face with smoked salmon canapés

Yes, good one, MrsMc82 - I can't wait to stop whingeing, too! It will be nice to be able to answer the question, 'So, how are you?' without launching into my list of minor ailments.

No-one told me about the peanut thing. Is that a new one? I haven't been avoiding peanuts.

Not vomiting every other day (or some days, all day every day)
No acid indigestion
Being able to even think about smelling alcohol, relly miss wanting a glass of red wine.
Being able to pick DD up and swing her around again.
Not being continuously kicked in the ribs
I would love to be able to say 'sleeping better' but that a laugh eh? .

saltyseadog · 20/11/2009 21:34

Only 24 weeks for me - plenty of time to go....

In no particular order:

Sleeping on my back
Booze, booze, booze
Going running
Being able to have a hot bath
Not having to cope with saggy gusset maternity tights
Being able to paracetamol, herbal cold remedies etc.
Sex
Smoked salmon and gorgonzola
Fully caffeinated coffee
Being able to wear my normal clothes rather than hideous maternity get up

I'm sure there's loads more!

Neeko · 20/11/2009 21:37

Only 22 weeks so Looooong way to go but this is intended to be the last one, so not really complaining. Still...

-giving away my maternity clothes.
-wearing clothes with belts.
-pate/cheese/haggis etc
-nice glass of white wine or 3
-dieting to get my figure back (never thought I'd say that)
-being one of the people who comments on bumps rather than has one
-knowing our family is complete

mama2moo · 20/11/2009 21:52

I had forgetten I used to be able to lie on my front

chubbychipmonk · 20/11/2009 21:57

In no particular order . .

Pate and toast!
Big bottle of rose wine!
Being able to walk the dog without getting out of breath!

Going to bed at night . . and waking up a full 9 hours later . . . .without the 15 trips to the toilet in between!!

Wine! (more than half a glass in one sitting)
Sleeping all night and waking up feeling refreshed (actually that won't happen will it, not with a newborn!)
Going to the gym/doing proper exercise
Putting some heels and nice jeans on and heading out for drinks (and a sneaky cig or two) with friends!
Generally feeling full of energy rather than a slightly sick, exhausted beached whale.

I am only 20 weeks so a long way to go....
