I'm 33 wks preg, so the rental agreement I've got with DD2 is up soon

But apart from missing her being snug in there, there are so many things I'm looking forward to, laying down in the bath, not having to wake up to turn over at night, and most of all having more than just three pairs of jeans to choose from in the morning

What can't you wait to do?

A very large bucket glass of red wine
being able to sleep on my stomach
really smelly, runny cheese mmmm stinking bishop!
Not having to limit my caffeine intake
Not having heartburn all the time
Going out for posh dinner and being able to have the rare meat/seafood and the pre-dinner aperitif, and the bottle of wine, and the desert wine and the port

Beginning to sound like an alcoholic now!

Only 26 weeks!

stubbornstains · 21/11/2009 16:34

Not continually knocking things off the table with my bump.

Going to France and bingeing on cheese so ripe and soft it crawls off the plate.

Booze booze booze booze booze.

Walking like an averagely fit 35-year-old again, rather than like an old lady of 83.

prettyfly1 · 21/11/2009 16:51

OHHH love this thread

sex with dp (a proper session not one where I feel like a whale going through the motions)

Getting my usual level of energy back

being able to do the housework and garden without the agonising hip and back pain

being able to bend down and turn over at night

eating full stop ( am still being treated for hyperemesis at 37 1/2 weeks!!)

getting rid of the burn in my tummy muscles just for putting shoes on.

putting shoes on.

drinking cocktails at christmas time.

walking around and enjoying my baby (not a pregnancy fan quite frankly but LOVE the newborn phase )

Drinking coke.

GuernseyFrench · 21/11/2009 18:01

I forgot some:

Doing the dishes without hurting my bump on the kitchen counter
Been able to do the weedeing (sp) in the garden
Drinking a few pint of lager (or a lot!!!)

funtimewincies · 21/11/2009 18:54

I just want to ebe able to bend over without getting mouthful of stomach acid . I know that the tiredness of being pg will just be replaced by the sleep deprivation of a newborn, so I'm not falling for that one again!

39 weeks tomorrow so not long to wait .

1mum1 · 21/11/2009 19:07

No worries for others with the peanuts - I've just got allergies and quite a few in the family - so just to be sure.

I'd also add fresh cream - I got it in my head in the first few months from something I read that I couldn't have clotted cream or any fresh cream so am looking forward to this (Am now sure I was completely wrong but think I may as well wait, seeing as I only have 11 days to go!)

bigpreggybelly · 21/11/2009 20:31

I can't believe a few of you are desperate to get back on the fags again! Are you bonkers??!!

I finally managed to stop 18 months ago after a health scare finally shocked me into stopping completely. I had been trying to stop smoking for about 15 years and after doing it I feel completely liberated not to have that addiction any more!! The smell of them is even worse whilst I'm pregnant. There's no way I would go back on them again and then spend another 15 years trying to stop again!

If you have managed to stop whilst your pregnant then good on you that's great, but please don't start again afterwards just because you're not preggers any more - I'm sure you will regret it, and your baby won't like the smell of it on you either!

CantThinkofFunnyName · 21/11/2009 21:06

BigPreggyBelly - I agree. Was a 20 a day smoker, stopped for DS 11 years ago, a fairly major family episode got me back on them again when he was 6 weeks old , managed to cut down to about 5 a day when pg with DD 7 years ago but had not managed to stop since. Finally, stopped with this one in the first week after finding out and cannot bear the smell of them now. How I hope to God that I have no inclination to start again afterwards. There's no such thing as "just the one"....

Chynah · 21/11/2009 21:33

wine
no more heartburn
Wine
being able to fit normal clothes
wine
being able to do laces easily
oh and wine!

Thingiebob · 21/11/2009 22:39

I am looking forward to

not peeing all the time
having the odd alcoholic drink when I go out
being able to sleep
being able to exercise and lose some weight
not have constant heartburn
having a good poo
being able to breathe properly
sex

Annap1 · 22/11/2009 14:32

great thread!! love being pregnant but while we're on the subject I am most looking forward to....
proper sex
belly button going back in (hopefully) was already an outy so no matter what i wear it looks obscene!
lashings of pate on crusty bread with a large glass of super smooth red wine
sleeping on my back and front
being able to wear things with a waist again (hopefully)

AmazingBouncingFerret · 22/11/2009 14:51

I cannot wait to be able to enjoy a glass of wine, Ive not completely gone without during this pregnancy, but ive not enjoyed the glass as I normally would.

I cannot wait to be able to take Codiene and Tramadol again, living on paracetamol has been hell.

Sleep on my front.

Wear all those lovely clothes in my wardrobe AND go shopping for some new ones!

Drink a glass of Baileys, normally I would have a glass when wrapping the Christmas presents and have really missed it this year.

Not have to remind DS to be careful of my bump when he comes in for a cuddle and to be able to pick him up off floor if he falls over.

And I must admit I cannot wait to push my new pram around.

And lastly I cannot wait to see what I will look like a few weeks after the birth because Im actually lighter now at 37 weeks then I was before I got pregnant, due to sickness and feeling like general crap!

echops · 22/11/2009 15:21

Burning my maternity jeans!

AgentZigzag · 22/11/2009 16:26

BouncyFerret - are you saying you've done some Christmas pressie wrapping??

wibblela · 22/11/2009 16:50

Good thread

I am looking forward to a large latte!!! Luckily the place where I am due to give birth has a costa concession stand in the foyer of the hospital so the day after the birth I am having one But the EDD is not until May 2010!!! Went past a coffee shop the other day and the smell was heavenly

sjbj · 22/11/2009 16:54

Stilton and brie!!

Issy42 · 22/11/2009 17:43

1mum1 - the FSA changed their advice on peanuts in August, you can have them now. As much evidence to say avoiding them causes allergies as the opposite.

I'm looking forward to sleeping in whatever position I want, not having heartburn, wearing a comfortable bra again ... and of course meeting my little one.

howdidthishappenthen · 22/11/2009 18:30

Blue cheese. Pate. Wearing my white jeans. Feeling sexy and not like I'm adrift in an ocean of huge tummy (27wks with DD2). Cocktails. Normal shaped boobs. Being able to get up off the sofa in a graceful movement. Heels. Oh, so many things..

RubiMama · 22/11/2009 18:32

Great thread! Whensmydayoff lol at getting your face back . I am only 17 weeks but have already started to puff up and not looking forward to it getting any worse and spreading to my legs, at the end of my last pregnancy I was even bulging out of my last resort shoes, crocs - urgh! Also...

eating a wibbly runny dippy egg
big fat glass of red wine
goats cheese
not feeling disgusted and depressed by sight of that horrid panel on maternity jeans in the morning
exercising properly and losing weight
buying nice new clothes
having a lying on my tummy massage
getting snuggly with my new LO

tinylion · 22/11/2009 18:43

going horseriding...am a mad fan but forbidden (obviously) at the moment.

wearing something other than 'orrible stretchy trousers and enormous granny bras.

having massive monobosoms that make me look 20 stone.

wearing heels (am 5 foot and look like a weeble at the mo).

Not obsessing about dirty house (go very OCD when pregnant) and not worrying about state of living room carpet..

People not saying "gosh, you look well" ie, my god, you've put on so much weight!!

Feeling less overcome at the thought of housework - and being able to unload the dishwasher without feeling sick.

Not having to eat every.five.minutes.

Being more enthusiastic with dd and actually being able to spend time with her without feeling exhausted/sick (15 weeks, defo last baby, hate being pregnant! can't wait for labour....ages away!!)

and having a large, icy, gin and tonic with a slice of lime and plenty of ice...

scallops...mmmmmmm

BabyGiraffes · 22/11/2009 19:53

Not getting stuck in doors because I misjudge the gap vs enormous size of bump (only 29 weeks, too - I will get wedged in seriously before the baby is due)
Oh, being able to pick things up off the floor
Turning over in bed without swearing due to SPD and having to rearrange a dozen pillows
Running after dd with a chance of catching her!!
Sex... hmmmm, yes
Not having heartburn every time anything passes my lips (even a glass of water)
Wine, wine, wine, please
Blue cheese, brie...

Er, am I not supposed to have coffee while pregnant? Oops, expecting baby to be born with a serious caffeine and chocolate craving....

But yes, I will miss feet and bum poking out and wriggling(the baby's, not mine)
