Very faint line at 11DPO but I'm optimistic! Going off my ovulation date I'm due on the second of August. DS1 had a due date of the fourth of August as well lol. I hope to see many of you come across from the TTC threads x

I'm in the same boat; technically due tomorrow but baby is showing no signs of coming and now they're talking about an induction or at least a sweep if it doesn't happen by Friday. I REALLY want to avoid that, so any home tips would be welcome!!

Hey ladies

I’d booked in for Accupuncture if baby didn’t come on their own, it’s proven to bring on labour apparently, and stimulates oxytocin.

reflexology is meant to be much the same, and I have a friend that went into labour straight after her appointment. Worth looking into.

good luck and hope they come asap! X

Congratulations! Mine was 4-5 days late in the end, and I was so relieved to go into labour naturally! 😀 It's been a bit surreal since: I don't think I'd really pictured having an actual baby 😂

Congratulations folks. I was 8 days overdue, went in for a sweep and ended up with an emergency C-section!

Oh wow, that must have been pretty stressful 😬 If you don't mind me asking, what was the reason it resulted in a c-section? Must have been such a shock after only going in for a sweep!

@PurpleTurtleMooseI was lucky really. I had initially declined sweeps and induction but started to panic about all the talk around still births and decided to go for a sweep. The community midwife wasn't available so I had to go to hospital. They monitored me before doing the sweep (which the community midwife wouldn't have done). My baby's heart beat kept dropping out indicating the cord was round his neck. They put me on the labour ward, monitored me some more. They kept pushing for an induction and I could not decide. I was finding it very stressful, I just don't know anyone induction had ended well for. They told me I wasn't an emergency and a C-section would be next week sometime but didn't know when. It was very confusing, was it serious or not? When I finally conceded to an induction the team had switched to the night team. They gave me the sweep but I was totally closed. They monitored some more and heartbeat dropped out significantly so that the emergency button was hit. About 8 people rushed in. Was scary. The new doctor and midwife said I did need an emergency c section, they didn't think he'd survive the trauma of birth and could see I was very stressed out. So it went ahead. But I think I'm lucky again that the team switched and had a totally different opinion.

Oh wow, that sounds incredibly traumatic. I can't imagine the stress, though thank goodness you were well looked after and that team knew what to do!
