Chasingbaby2 · 23/09/2024 23:03

That looks pretty clear to me.
What reason do you have to doubt this?

TeenLifeMum · 23/09/2024 23:06

Girls have 3 white lines.

Ruthietuthie · 23/09/2024 23:07

Looks like a boy to me too.

Mommyto3boys · 23/09/2024 23:10

4 different chinese predictions said girl , ring test said girl , a urine test i did said girl , if you zoom in the first picture it’s all connected it seems and the second picture isn’t clear enough , i know every ultrasound is different but for my previous 3 they were clear as day , and the ultrasound tech didn’t seem sure when she did it she was struggling to get it . Also every potty shot i’ve seen you can normally see the legs or a leg and there’s nothing in the picture

TidyDancer · 23/09/2024 23:12

Are you saying you believe the Chinese prediction, ring test and urine test are real indicators? Surely not.

Chewyspree · 23/09/2024 23:15

If the ring test said girl it must be right. Ditto Chinese predictions.

Ultrasounds are notoriously unreliable and are only good for checking for basic stuff like cardiac defects, ventricularmegaly, soft markers for chromosomal rearrangements & stuff like that.

def go with the Chinese prediction.

In fact, I’d have loads of personalised bedding and towels made. Maybe some clothes too.

Mommyto3boys · 23/09/2024 23:16

yes and no , the tests have been right for all 3 of my boys , and multiple other people in my family have used these and they’ve all been to be correct , i know they have a 50/50 chance of being correct. many people use these methods and are usually correct

MonsteraMama · 23/09/2024 23:18

Genuine question. If the Chinese woo woo or Temu wee wee tests are so accurate, and have never been wrong in your family, why did you even bother asking the sonographer to disclose the gender? What's the point if you're not going to believe them anyway?

RunningOnHope · 23/09/2024 23:21

I think maybe you are experiencing a bit of gender disappointment OP? It's ok to be honest about it with yourself, feel whatever you feel, and then make an effort to start bonding with your baby boy when you're ready!

What?? If you know they have a 50/50 chance of being correct that means you know that they’re as accurate as tossing a coin…

shellyleppard · 23/09/2024 23:22

Why not just wait till the little one arrives??

HeadacheEarthquake · 23/09/2024 23:22

🍿

Chasingbaby2 · 23/09/2024 23:33

Seriously?!
It's OK to admit you are a bit disappointed.
You are massively clutching at straws here.
You need to put your energy into accepting that you are expecting a boy, not looking for someone to validate your Chinese predictions.

BigBlueTeapot · 23/09/2024 23:33

OP, this is why I didn't find out the sex of my 4th (and last) prenatally. I also had 3 boys and secretly was hoping for a girl. However I also didn't want to be disappointed in my baby, not even for a moment - and I knew that I would have been disappointed to find out number 4 was also a boy before they were born. But wouldn't be disappointed in a beautiful healthy new baby boy in my arms because that love would take over.

I did a lot of thought experiments to help me manage my complex feelings around #4. I imagined that I had found out he was a boy (and I coped by assuming he would be most likely to be a boy, given that I already had 3 boys). If I knew he was a boy, and someone said "sorry you are having a boy, but don't worry, we can get rid of him and replace him in utero with a female fetus" would I want a girl - any girl - over this baby boy? If I had him in my arms and the person in the next bed had her 4th daughter and offered to swap, would I consider it, even for a second?
This thought experiment really helped me work out that I didn't want "a girl" more than I wanted this baby growing in me.

I had a girl. And do you know, I don't love her any more or any less than my boys, and I never did?

TheBeesKnee · 23/09/2024 23:33

Oh bless you. I hope you didn't get pregnant hoping for a girl. I think you need to find yourself time to come to terms with it, but it does look like a boy to me.

cherrybl0ssom5 · 23/09/2024 23:37

The picture might not be clear to you, but remember the sonographer would’ve been checking before capturing this still image!

Honestly looks to me like baby is a boy, I know it’s not always accurate though, are you able to get another scan done privately for a second opinion if you really believe baby isn’t a boy?

doodleschnoodle · 23/09/2024 23:38

Looks pretty boy like to me. None of the tests you've carried out are anything other than old wives' tales with no scientific basis so I wouldn't put any notice in that.

Gently, OP, am I right that with 3 boys already you were hoping for a girl and are maybe finding it hard to accept it looks like it's going to be another boy?

cheeeesey · 23/09/2024 23:47

Chinese predictions? 🤣 Mate, come on

Babyenroute · 24/09/2024 03:34

I see what you mean about the shots not being overly clear, but I world definitely believe the sonographer over the predictions.
Maybe put your mind at rest and go for another scan, you could call them up and say it felt rushed

Josette77 · 24/09/2024 03:59

It sounds like you're disappointed this is another boy.

I think you just need to take a deep breath and focus on having another baby, not a boy or a girl.

UpTheMagicFarawayTree · 24/09/2024 04:06

Well, either way, you'll find out soon enough.

honestasever · 24/09/2024 04:08

I can’t comment on the pics but despite what you say. I do think you could be in denial and should probably address this

MosaDiCello · 24/09/2024 04:39

You mentioned having three boys, I get the feeling you want a girl and of course you would. Don't set yourself up for disappointment, looking at the scan it does look like a boy to me, I've have girls and potty scans look different for girls their lines are white. I could be totally wrong and you have a girl I'm just saying don't set yourself up because you'll feel so much disappointment.

AnywhereAnyoneAnyTime · 24/09/2024 05:01

Whatever it is you’re smoking isn’t good for the pregnancy 🤣

MouseMama · 24/09/2024 05:11

You can always get a chromosome test if you want certainty.
