Keep trying Cece and come back on here as soon as you have any news.Good Luck

I did a test this morning.BFN again!5 days late now.Still having aches in groin area.Becoming a little concerned now that still BFN. Can anyone advse if this is normal and at what point should I be visiting my GP? I am ALWAYS on a 28 day cycle so this is all odd. Could it still be too early for testing?? Could my cycle finally be changing due to age??
I feel a little unsure today.

Think I will give it 2 more days - at which point I will be a week late.If still BFN I will take a trip to the Docs.

Still looking good for you then choccie...

keeping fingers crossed.

chocciedooby · 20/04/2008 20:51

Just went to the toilet and found a brownish stain in my underwear. When I wiped there was mucus and pink blood. I have lower pains again. They have been on and off all day.
Maybe I am not pregnant afterall
Not sure what to do now.
If there is more blood and its red then I will pretty much expect my AF (don't understand why its so late).
This also isn't how my AF's normally start. I am a little worried.

Hey hang in there, it could be implantation bleeding. I had brown/pink discharge for the first month of my pregnancy. Along with period type pains.
Fingers crossed for you.

cece · 20/04/2008 21:28

choccie fingers crossed. I have now worked out that because I was 5 days late this month I will be having AF while I am on holiday in May If not pg that is... but also worked out I will OV while away with work Bugger

chocciedooby · 20/04/2008 21:30

Thanks guineamango. I have been looking up implantation bleeding.Going to go off to the toilet again soon and check whats going on.(sorry tmi).
I never had any bleeding whatsoever with my other 2 pregnancies and I have been convinced that I was pregnant with No.3. The fact that the tests I have done have all come up neg. now means 1 of 2 things.

  1. Not pregnant at all and period coming - just late.
  2. Implantation and therefore HCG levels too low for tests to pick up?

Well I'm bleeding red blood and its running from me so my AF must have arrived just like yours Cece.
Sorry to disappoint all those watching this thread. I am disappointed but obviously was not meant to be. At least now I know how strongly I want to have another lovely child.

Thanks tellyaddict, vicsta and 33kjs.
I am off to the Dr. this morning as I am still bleeding but its thick dark as opposed to my normal AF bleeding.I also have pain on left side of lower abdoman. Want to get it checked out just in case...concerned could have a cyst or something. You never know.

Let us know how you get on, and hope all is OK.

cece · 22/04/2008 17:44

What did the doc say choccie?

chocciedooby · 22/04/2008 20:38

You are so good to be thinking of me.
I have had a bit of a day of it really.
The Dr took a urine sample which gave a negative reading (to be expected, especially now) and then gave me an internal examination. She found that my ovary and fallopian tube is inflamed and was concerned that I may have an early eptopic. So off she sent me to hospital for a scan.
The Dr at the hospital took another urine sample. He would not scan me until he got the results back. The result was again negative. He then said there was no point in doing the scan as it would not show up anything, that I am not pregnant, I have not had a MC etc etc. He basically made me feel a bit of an idiot with bad period pain and gave ne a prescription for strong pain killers. Told me to go home and if still same pain and bleeding in 48 hrs to return and he would give me the scan!!!
I now still have this pain, know that it is not a normal period, I am NEVER late, regular as clockwork etc and I feel a bit of a fool for not putting my foot down and insisting on the scan.
I still can't relax.

He never even talked aobut taking any blood to test that. At first he asked me " why are you here"? "why have you been sent to me if you are not pregnant"??.
I really didn't know how to answer that but that my GP had sent me as she was concerned and thought it was best (especially regarding a suspected eptopic) that I get a scan.
I am quite confused.
What difference will there be in another 48 hours anyway. ARRRRHHHH

chocciedooby · 22/04/2008 21:03

ectopic.
sorry.too tired to spell.

OP posts:
MissKubelik · 22/04/2008 21:20

poor you

having had an ectopic myself it does sound very suspect and I am shocked that you haven't been offered a scan or blood tests

if you start a new thread with "suspected ectopic" in the title, then Aitch, Tutter et al will be along to advise.

Also you could try the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust for more info. I think they have a helpline number you can call.

chocciedooby · 23/04/2008 10:32

Thanks MissKubelik. I had a great nights sleep last night.Took a painkiller beforehand.Had no bleeding overnoght and nonoe so far this morning so fingers crossed I am ok.

for the doctor's attitude and reaction to you. for what you're going through. No wonder you didn't put your foot down, you've had alot of stress, worry, excitement, worry, stress and the last thing you need is to have to stand up to a doctor.

Glad you had a good night's sleep (do they let you give these painkillers to bf mothers.... pretty please ), and glad bleeding has stopped.

Keep well and good luck with BD as and when you are ready....

chocciedooby · 23/04/2008 20:25

Thanks tellyaddict.
Yeh the Dr was really lacking in the bedside manner dept tbh and he did seem to be forcing his own opinion based on one test result.
I have however felt much better today.
Bleeding did start again around 4.30pm but its normal bleeding at last and with no pain so I am happy with that. I am not worried anymore.
I will chalk it all down to experience and will never know what has happened to me inside.
Will be interesting to see when I get my next AF.
Also looknig forward to BD .
