Suspected miscarriage

I started bleeding on Saturday night which lightly continued up to now not heavy like a period. This morning I had about an hour of the most intense contractions identical to labour. I have a scan on Wednesday. I was 6 week. What will happen on Wednesday, is it an internal scan?

How lovely. I just live in Northumberland so on the Scottish Borders. I’ve told my daughter and she is praying for you both too and it’s amazing he doesn’t need a ventilator. He is a warrior for sure. Keep me updated with his progress x

He is doing well, off cpapp and being supported with just high flow from an oxygen perspective - they are weaning him off that now. He is still tube fed but showing cues that he is ready for bottle/breast feeding so hoping in the next few weeks to get him off tube feeding. Right now we are lucky and it’s mostly just growing for him, he has gained a little weight and is up to 850grams after initially losing but we have a way to go on that front. We get him out for skin to skin every day and he is really expressive for his age - definitely loves a snuggle with his mum and dad. I can’t get over how cute he is - although I’m a little biased lol.

How is your daughter? She is well into the third trimester now, it must be starting to get exciting just counting down the days until he arrives ? Xx

Sorry for delayed reply. I didn’t get notified you had replied so I was getting really concerned. I am absolutely thrilled to see he is doing well and making progress. What a trooper!
my daughters friend had to have an emergency c section at 34 weeks a couple of days ago - pre eclampsia. Little girl. 3 pounds so smaller than expected for gestational age but she was being monitored as her growth was only 3 percentile. However she is doing amazing too now.
my daughter is now 31 weeks and looks like she will be having a planned c section so that means baby will be here in 7-8 weeks time. He is on 77 percentile so a big bruiser!

Oh wow, 31 weeks. Thats just amazing, to think a few months back we were worrying about these fragile little miracles and now we are so close to both taking precious little boys home. It’s hard to believe at times.

Im glad your daughters friends baby girl is doing well. At 34 weeks the chances of survival are the same as any full term baby, so hopefully it’s just a bit of growing for her and home with mum and dad within a few weeks.

Arran is now 2lbs 3oz and really starting to see a difference. His hair is starting to get thicker and he is padding out a little. When he gets to around 3.5lbs they will move him out the incubator and into a cot so hoping to get there end of the month. I will send you a private message with a little photo.
