I started bleeding on Saturday night which lightly continued up to now not heavy like a period. This morning I had about an hour of the most intense contractions identical to labour. I have a scan on Wednesday. I was 6 week. What will happen on Wednesday, is it an internal scan?

That’s brilliant news that the baby is growing and a heart rate of 152 is really good - so happy for you both ! X

Tokoro · 22/12/2023 06:01

I don’t know the reason why it’s 6 days behind but it’s consistent and doing everything as it should just 6 days later than the dates.

Tokoro · 03/01/2024 00:55

Update. She measured 9 weeks today. 5 days behind but they’re no longer worried. Said prob late implant. Scan showed all is well.

Hoping4amiracle · 03/01/2024 10:51

Oh wow that is amazing - you and your daughter must be so relieved. Is she coping with the anxiety ok? X

Tokoro · 03/01/2024 15:41

It’s been awful the worry and anxiety. Over Christmas all her symptoms but after two days they came back. It’s been a rollercoaster for sure but yesterday was such a relief esp after reading so many ppl who had had ivf saying they miscarried. Hers defo is a late implant they said. All looks great. Was kicking it’s little legs.

Hoping4amiracle · 04/01/2024 09:31

How lovely to see baby move - I have a scan today but terrified of bad news. Just trying to stay calm but it’s hard! X

Tokoro · 04/01/2024 15:08

How many weeks are you now? Please let me know how you get on. Praying for you. I’m not really religious but I’ve been praying so much of late x

Hoping4amiracle · 04/01/2024 19:26

just back from the scan and baby is doing well - measuring ahead at 11 weeks and 1 day. So relieved that we are nearing the end of the first trimester. Just need to keep everything crossed that all pregnancies continue to be positive x

Tokoro · 05/01/2024 03:01

I am overjoyed to hear this. So happy for you. They told my daughter that making it to 8 weeks is the key. If all looking good by 8 weeks risk of MC drops massively. Even when women mc at 11/12 weeks it’s usually a mmc. Fingers crossed for you and my daughter. X

Hoping4amiracle · 05/01/2024 09:45

Thank you, starting to believe now there might be a baby at the end of this and get a little excited. Keep me up to date with how your daughter is doing xx

Tokoro · 05/01/2024 15:11

I will and likewise. X

Tokoro · 24/01/2024 12:58

She had her 12 week scan and everything is looking good. How are your doing?

Hoping4amiracle · 24/01/2024 16:09

Aw amazing - did your daughter go for the screening tests also?

I’m still waiting on results - scan was a week ago, but was told if I was high risk they would contact me pretty quickly so hoping no news is good news.

We had a bleed at around 12 weeks but thankfully they found a haematoma and baby is fine - was scary at the time though.

Tokoro · 25/01/2024 06:39

She had her bloods taken and has to wait for results. The baby has a nasal bone which is often absent in downs baby and they measured the fluid behind its head which was 2.1mm which is within the normal range. They work out risk factor of downs once they analysed bloods. If high then she can get the harmony tests. Fingers crossed all will be ok. What screening did you get? What for? I’m sure it will be ok. Thinking of you x

Hoping4amiracle · 25/01/2024 11:07

O had the same screening tests for Downs, Patau and Edwards syndrome. It’s been a week now and I’m hoping that means ok news as they said they would contact quickly if there was a problem.

NT was 1.8 mm and as you said that was deemed within normal range so hoping everything is ok.

It’s an anxious wait isn’t it - hoping after these results I will start to relax. Actually starting to notice a bump. How is your daughter feeling? Has she been able to relax any? X

Tokoro · 25/01/2024 14:42

Yes that’s the bloods my daughter had. Waiting for the results but anything under 3.5 is within normal range they said. She is R-ve blood group so checking what babies is too because she will need an injection if baby is R+ve. She has started to get the most tiny little bump. Can’t tell but we can as she usually is flat as pancake her tummy!

Tokoro · 25/01/2024 17:04

Results have just been emailed. Very low risk. 1:5000 they said given all measurements and bloods. Whoop.

Hoping4amiracle · 25/01/2024 21:57

Aw that’s great - must be such a relief. Time to relax and hopefully rest of pregnancy is stress free. X

Hoping4amiracle · 29/01/2024 18:49

Unfortunately we didn’t get good news with a 1:2 result which is as bad as it gets - we have opted for further testing but feel this pregnancy will sadly have a negative outcome … we are devastated and utterly heartbroken x

Tokoro · 29/01/2024 22:06

I’m so sorry to hear this. I don’t get why odds so bad. 1.8mm was measurement which is well below what they say is worrying. I assume they thought everything looked ok at scan ? The further tests may show everything is ok. I’m praying they are for you. It’s not fair this stress for you. Please let me know. My cousin had very high odds and had an amnio and now has a healthy baby girl as it all came back as being all ok. Praying 🙏

Hoping4amiracle · 29/01/2024 22:21

Thanks for your kind words.

Papp-a was extremely low at only 0.12 Mom was is lower than pretty much 99% of stories on mumsnet. The prognosis in most of these is not positive. It’s been a devastating day for my partner and I with some really horrible conversations x

Tokoro · 30/01/2024 06:18

When I first posted on mumsnet the majority of the stories that were similar to my daughters weren’t positive. I think more ppl share their sad news than happier ones. My daughter and I read all the sad stories and assumed the worst for her baby but look now. She is 13 weeks and baby is thriving it appears. The odds seem to be against you but there are ppl who have had same odds& difficulties as you who have had positive outcomes. Let’s keep hoping for a miracle. Get further tests and I will pray for the best outcome. Please let me know.
we were just saying how easy it is for some and how it’s not fair that some of these mums will drink alcohol and smoke etc and not have one care in the world about their unborn baby.
keep in touch. I’m rooting for this baby x

Hoping4amiracle · 05/02/2024 17:08

Hello,

Unbelievably the NIPT came back low risk across all trimsomies. After the worst week of our life we have some hope again that all might be well.

We had a scan to check for anomalies and baby was well. We heard its heart beating and as the spine was being checked it wiggled its little bottom for us.

Thank you for your kind words, last week was a really tough week for my partner and I. Xx

Tokoro · 05/02/2024 20:29

I have been thinking about you non stop. I am absolutely thrilled to bits with this news. Honestly I’m so happy for you. This is just wonderful. Keep in touch xxx

Hoping4amiracle · 05/02/2024 21:28

Thank you - hope your daughter is keeping well. My mum was crying when I called her and said baby was low risk - mums feel every bit of pain with you xx
