SENSITIVE- is this me losing the baby?

Noticed this was in the toilet today fished it out. Think I’ve lost the baby :( Please help what else could it be

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 They can’t see me until tomorrow at the epu. Anxious wait until then, but I just know this is my worst fear 😢

I had bleeding with both my children; I had a cervical ectropion so my cervix was almost 'grazed'.

It looks like a bit of mucus plug to me. There would tend to be bleeding before passing the gestational sac.

@PickledScrump LMP was 5 weeks + 2. I’m so scared x

@Talkwhilstyouwalk going to Google mucus plug. I’ve not had any bleeding as such when I wipe etc just that tissue blood stuff I posted and a vv dull pain in my stomach almost like a light period pain. X

If you are that early they probably won't scan you due to not seeing anything- it might be a wait and see unless they offer a blood test.

If you have a lower sided pain I'd also be concerned about ectopic.

So sorry OP. Be warned that EPAU may not see or scan you before six weeks. Sadly the advice may be to watch and wait. Be vigilant for symptoms of ectopic pregnancy as this is an emergency.

It's the mucous plug. Shouldn't normally come out until shortly before labour but some women do lose it early and go on to have normal pregnancies. It doesn't mean anything on its own, see your doctor and they can check you out.

I had similar when I was about 5 weeks. I had to have a few scans and they found it was a haematoma in my uterus. The bleeding stopped after a couple of weeks. Everything turned out fine (baby boy was born 2 weeks ago). Try not to worry, I'm sure it's nothing but best to get it checked out asap

If you're having continuous heavy bleeding like a period I would think so, if it's just that then I would assume blood stained discharge, which thickens during pregnancy.

I don't think it is mucus plug- I think the white is toilet paper??

Tomorrow must feel like a long time away. I also bled at 5 weeks but blood tests were all ok. If they can't scan you likely they will test your HCG. Please let us know how you get on x

increase in white thick discharge is common in pregnancy as is some Form of bleeding and spotting. OP is it still as it is in your original picture or has it gone away or increased? What you’ve shown in your OP isn’t a lot. Many many many women have that sort of bleeding (or actually spotting) in early pregnancy, it can be implantation bleeding or cervical erosion (there’s a proper word for it- I saw a gynae last week as I’ve had it mid cycle and in my first pregnancy) and she said it’s basically a bruise on the cervix that reacts to progesterone and sheds a few cells

also that didn’t look like my Mucous plug at all, so I wouldn’t jump to miscarriage yet my love .

I have two children, three pregnancies. No bleeding first pregnancy. My second pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage but had bleeding in my third pregnancy all the way through. Had a healthy full term baby. Until you have a scan then it’s impossible to tell. I hope all is well for you. Don’t give up hope yet.

Good luck tomorrow. At 5 weeks the "baby" is like the size of a poppy seed so that's not the baby incase you're worrying about that.
I had lots of bleeding in my last pregnancy and it took them ages to realise it was a polyp causing it. I went on to have healthy baby who is now 2.
Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean miscarriage - hoping this is the case for you. Finger crossed x

Sorry you’re going through this. I had similar in my last pregnancy it started like that on and off and then one day I had an almighty bleed honestly I’ve never seen so much blood my bathroom looked like a crime scene. I had to get an ambulance and was so weak from the blood loss. Turned out I had a massive hematoma and i was warned that it was very large and I had quite a large risk of miscarrying and to be mindful. It shrunk and disappeared by my 12 week scan and my baby boy is 4 1/2 months old now. Bleeding doesn’t always mean bad news. Sending lots of positive vibes your way xx

Hi everyone. They couldn’t see anything on my scan. HCG 170. Got another blood test on Thursday. Unless I’m not as far along as I think looks like it’s gone 😔. Boobs still killing me, pregnancy test this morning was a strong line etc, feels so cruel now. Devastated.

Could it not be that you're simply too early to see anything? I was always under the impression that they don't scan at all under 6 weeks for this exact reason.

What sort of scan did you have lovely? Aren’t you are 5/6 weeks? Normally you can’t see anything on an abdominal scan until much later

@Onemoresleeeeep It was transvaginal scan. The nurse seemed so negative that I’m just convinced of the worse. My period can be irregular but I did ovulation sticks and know I was ovulating 25,26,27 th October because I got positives those 3 days and then went back to negatives.
