How are you @Hopeful588 x

PaintedEgg · 12/07/2023 21:50

I have had very little symptoms up until week 7 and then all hell broke loose. I was so sick that at time I was convinced my body wont be able to handle this pregnancy - literally spend my first trimester on series of antibiotics :(

it all depends how your body reacts to hormones. I've heard somewhere that women who have bad PMS react more to pregnancy hormones early on but not in a pleasant way

Rainbow2024 · 12/07/2023 21:57

@PaintedEgg I'm sorry to hear that. I really hope you start to feel better soon with the symptoms!

We shouldn't wish to feel awful. It's just hard when you have very little symptoms. I'm 7 weeks today, and my sore boobs have completely disappeared today. My bloat has completely gone. So I'm wary. Having experienced 3 losses I can't help but worry it will happen again. I wish I didn't feel like this 😭

I hope it goes well. For what its worth, for me the symptoms did fluctuate in the early days, and it caused me an enormous amount of anxiety. There were days when I felt normal and would start to panic, but the next day I would literally nap with my head resting on the toilet seat.

Have you considered an early scan?

Rainbow2024 · 12/07/2023 22:09

@PaintedEgg thank you so much. I actually have an early scan tomorrow. This is an IVF pregnancy so I am very lucky to get that scan tomorrow 🙏 it's been a long month & praying we get some good news tomorrow.
Glad to hear your symptoms did fluctuate. Gosh, bless you for being so sick! Annoying to be so poorly but also reassuring it's a good sign. I hope you pass the sickness soon & can start enjoying the pregnancy lovely & congrats 💕

PaintedEgg · 12/07/2023 22:14

Where are you based at? Manchester has an amazing private clinic with some doctors who specialise in difficult pregnancies - including high risk pregnancies and ones following miscarriages

Rainbow2024 · 12/07/2023 22:16

@PaintedEgg oh I'm in Hertfordshire. We're with the first ever IVF clinic & they are great. So that's reassuring, I have Endometriosis so I'm hoping & praying now that's been removed this pregnancy will survive the duration 🤞🏻🙌🌈 just so hard to stay calm & anxious free what symptoms go 🫠 but I do have to remember hormones fluctuate.

Labyrinth86 · 13/07/2023 04:17

I'm 6 weeks and the only symptoms I have are sore boobs, aching legs at night, waking up at night and not being able to fall asleep (hence posting at 4.15am... already have birds singing though), tiredness/napping in the day, increased clumsiness, and lack of period. I did have some initial cramping, which I thought was period pain but must have been implantation or uterus stretching.

Hopeful588 · 13/07/2023 08:47

Hi @Labyrinth86 can I ask when your cramps subsided? Mine subsided about a week ago and haven’t had anything since!

@Rainbow2024 I’m okay thank you. Still do not have many symptoms but then I’ve read a few posts where many people experienced the same. I’m just staying away from google because it doesn’t matter how many positive posts I read, the one negative one sticks in my mind and I panic!
I think we are just very early and it’s normal for hormones to fluctuate. Some people breeze through their entire pregnancy without any symptoms and not knowing they are pregnant until 12+ weeks.
We just have to remain positive and trust our bodies.
Best of luck with your scan today, let us know how you get on. I’m sure it will be perfect xxxx

@Hopeful588 Absolute right attitude to have! Well done you! Blush Thank you, I hope so 🤞🏻

Labyrinth86 · 13/07/2023 11:14

@Hopeful588 it probably lasted a couple of days around the time I was expecting my period and then disappeared.

TomorrowToday · 13/07/2023 13:59

So you do have a symtoms.

Rainbow2024 · 13/07/2023 16:14

@Hopeful588 scan went well! Strong baby heartbeat, baby measuring exactly 7+2 days! Which is a day more then we'd expect which is all perfect!
So that's enough to reassure me, that lacking symptoms isn't something to worry about anymore but to be grateful to our incredible bodies for doing all it is behind the scenes whilst we carry on our days! Wishing you all the luck with the rest of your pregnancy lovely! Let's stay off google & keep positive! 🌈🙌🙏

Hopeful588 · 13/07/2023 16:17

@Rainbow2024 ah that is fantastic news!! So so happy for you!!!! I’m sure you will have your dream come true this time round! Goes to show lack of symptoms or symptoms disappearing doesn’t mean anything!! Best of luck and I’m sure we will probably end up messaging one another at some point again! For now, you’re right, positive thoughts and trust the process! 😚🙏xx
