im 6 weeks tomorrow and so far only have sore breasts! I would have thought I’d have some morning sickness by now but nothing! Is this normal?

@LeopardLover that reassuring, thank you for messaging! How far along are you now? I’ve felt a little nauseous a few times for around 10/15mins today and the last few days (not sure if it’s in my head though!) otherwise I’m feeling normal. I just assumed I’d be feeling “pregnant”

Hi @lou9393 @Mangotango39 how are you going now?xx

PregNance · 06/07/2023 12:04

I found out about 4 weeks, felt fine till about 9 1/2 weeks and then constantly nauseated until about 20ish weeks. Suddenly felt fine and was worried about feeling fine, so I couldn’t even enjoy it until I suddenly felt my first kick about 21 weeks!

lou9393 · 06/07/2023 12:48

Hi @Hopeful588, thanks for asking, still no symptoms have reappeared for me and I'm 10+4, my scan is the week after next, feels like these past weeks have completely dragged! Would just like the scan to hurry up so it feels real. How about you?

Hopeful588 · 06/07/2023 13:07

Hi @PregNance , did you have sore boobs? That seems to be my only constant symptom but even that’s started to subside now!

I'm only 4+3 so early days 😊 I actually just found out a friend's sister reached 15 weeks pregnant without knowing because she had no symptoms 😅

Strawberry06 · 06/07/2023 13:32

MY boobs were aching when I went to sleep last night but I woke up about 2am and they didn't feel sore at all! Then after an hour or so of worrying, they started to hurt again and hurt today! Really weird.

Scan is booked for 28th July - no idea how I'm gonna get through the next 3 weeks.

PregNance · 06/07/2023 13:38

@Hopeful588 I think my reply was deleted! Sore boobs were an early symptom. Then nothing, then constant nausea, then feeling good until I was physically large.

Everyone is very different. My friend who was pregnant at the same time as me didn’t feel any different until she got physically exhausted from a heavy bump. She could eat anything and had loads of energy. I could barely look at a cracker at one point.

Hopeful588 · 06/07/2023 13:44

Thanks @PregNance it’s hard not to worry but clearly everyone has very different experiences which I guess is some reassurance! You read so much about missed miscarriages so it’s hard not to worry but then apparently they only happen in 1 - 5% of miscarriages! But I think it feels like more because people come on to forums to vent!

@Hopeful588 mostly just shattered - so tired but more body is tired then sleepy tired.
boob pain comes like electric shocks and lightening crotch haha.

some cramping!

I had some pinky discharge that worried me slightly and still waiting my Epu referral to be accepted. Hoping I get a reassurance scan before my 12 weeks 😬

how are you???

PregNance · 06/07/2023 14:56

@Hopeful588 it’s true, well if you want some good news, I bled at 8 weeks and had a referral to the EPU. I had a scan the next day. I was so sad but I had completely accepted that I was having a miscarriage and was weirdly calm about the whole thing, it was right after my boobs stopped feeling sore. It was so emotional the next day when there was a little heart beat at the scan. All the emotions I’d suppressed for the previous 24 hours just bubbled to the surface. Even my normally stoic husband teared up. No idea why I bled.

Hopeful588 · 06/07/2023 15:00

@PregNance ahh that’s amazing!!!! I love reading happy ending stories! That’s soo lovely!!!! I’m tearing up for you! Haha ♥️ beautiful story, all the best with the rest of your journey xx

@Hopeful588 so nice to find a 'current' forum chat about symptoms!
I am 6+6 through IVF fresh transfer. I've experienced 3 losses. So you can imagine my worry!
I've experienced sore boobs, some days more than others. Tiredness in the last 2 days noticeably a tad more. Cramps on & off which of course makes me panic every single time. Sore lower back.
For the first couple of weeks I would get upset if close friends or family asked how I was feeling because I'd question every single thing. Would make me worry more because I'm not 'feeling sick'.
My mother in law had zero sickness with all 3 of her boys.
I have friends who said their sickness & tiredness kicked in 7-8 weeks.
I have 1 friend who had zero symptoms.
So it really does vary but you still can't help but want to 'be throwing up' I think it's more pressure from externals for me always asking 'how you feeling' then I worry if I'm not feeling sick, does that mean I'm going to miscarry again.
I have a viability scan later this week via the IVF clinic. Hoping that puts my mind at ease 🙏
I hope all is going in the right direction for all of you in this feed. My first forum entry but felt I needed to get this off my chest & nice to talk to like minded people. 🙏

Also, thank you to everyone else who has shared their experiences. It's really reassured me even more how diff everyone's journeys are. Must remind myself daily how grateful I am to be in this position after the journey we've been on. Sending love & thanks to everyone 💕

Hopeful588 · 11/07/2023 08:16

Hi @Rainbow2024 ive never been one to comment on forums but I have found it’s so helpful.

im the same as you with symptoms. I’ve had sore boobs - some days more painful than others. Sometimes I’d find they hurt if I move sides whilst sleeping and first thing when I wake up, other times I don’t find them as painful.

I’ve had huge bloating and some weird pains in the stomach. I’ve had quite bad cramping on and off but that seems to have subsided last week.

I think sickness is the most associated symptom and not having it somehow makes this less real.

my husband and I have decided to not have an early scan. I think for my own sanity it’s better as I know il panic even more if we go and it’s too early to see anything.

I keep telling myself to trust my body. I’m just generally quite an anxious person so the wait to the 12 weeks scan is tough!

Rainbow2024 · 11/07/2023 08:22

Hey @Hopeful588
Exactly the same. I'd say yesterday was a day they barely hurt at all & I worked all day. Last night was a night where they didn't hurt in the night & wake me up which has been happening but since I've woken I've noticed they are sore (ish) very heavy. I also have crazy bloating & twinges often. My friend yesterday described it like period pains which never arrived! 🤷‍♀️

I really do think we should put more trust in our bodies absolutely! I don't blame you for not having a scan. It doesn't change the outcome in reality. So def sit tight if you can & trust.
As ours is IVF we have to have the scan, for me personally I desperately want the scan. It's important to see a heartbeat in my head as that in itself is a milestone we've yet reached with our 3 previous pregnancies. They have booked it time wise that providing all is well we should see what is needed to confirm a viable scan. I'm keeping everything crossed for us both. Stay positive & trust 🙌🙌🙌

If my symptoms change I'll be sure to let you know x

Strawberry06 · 11/07/2023 08:22

I'm 10 weeks today and the only symptom I still have (and have had all along) is sore boobs (more the nipples)

I might feel more tired but not sure if that's just cause I've not slept well! Counting down the days to my scan on 28th!

CaribbeanCupcake · 11/07/2023 08:47

I had no symptoms at 6 weeks and was complaining about it... man I regret that! Nausea started at around 8 weeks and I'm now 10+5 and after 2 of the worst days of nausea have actually been sick for the first time this morning. I feel absolutely awful.... if you have no symptoms you're honestly so lucky Sad

justanothermanicmonday1 · 11/07/2023 08:49

I had no symptoms with my second and then I got to 7-8 weeks and oh my goodness the nausea was out in full force. That with tiredness & breasts I thought it wouldn't ever end!

Rainbow2024 · 11/07/2023 11:59

@Strawberry06 wishing you all the luck with your scan! I'm sure all will be just perfect 💕
@CaribbeanCupcake @justanothermanicmonday1 sorry to heat your sickness isn't good! This is the problem, if it happens we'll all be hugely regretting wishing for it haha!
Just these first few months of pregnancy, especially after loss can be a mind boggle! Especially when you have ppl saying 'how you feeling' 'do you feel different than before' 'do you feel pregnant' in all honestly I'd like to just tell them all to p*ss off haha! But, I know it's because they care. Ppl just don't know what is the right & wrong thing to say sometimes.

I'm having another day where I woke up will tender boobs, they felt hard. Now they feel normal, I have normal if not more energy than I have done the last 2 days & I'm yet again worrying. Have I lost my symptoms, is the pregnancy not progressing. Wow 😯 this journey is tough...but of course so worth it! 🤞🏻🌈🥰

Hopeful588 · 11/07/2023 12:03

@Rainbow2024 i am feeling the EXACT same today. Last night my boobs were sore when I moved sides, I woke up and they were sore. But now they feel fine. I’ve been poking and prodding them and they are no way as sore as they have been. With a lack of other symptoms it’s soo hard to relax!

OP posts:
Rainbow2024 · 11/07/2023 12:04

Let's make a promise to ourselves now. That we will stop worrying. Trust in the process & trust that all hormones fluctuate. Our bodies are doing so many different things right now & worrying isn't going to change the outcome 🙏🙌🤞🏻 let's keep positive lovely! We've got this! 🙌

Hopeful588 · 11/07/2023 12:11

@Rainbow2024 i guess it’s reassurance that we are both experiencing the same. Are you still getting twinges? Mine seem to have subsided.

I admire your positivity. I do keep telling myself I need to trust my body and I am just a very overly anxious person, it’s just very hard!

OP posts:
Rainbow2024 · 11/07/2023 12:18

Twinges on & off. Had more Sunday & yesterday. Sunday my boobs where horrendously sore. Monday & Tuesday hardly anything.

I was quite gassy yesterday & haven't been to the toilet like I normally do daily. So just be a little constipated which I think is common. But def got more energy today & just feel quite normal. My lower back pain is constant! But I'm not sure that's even linked 🤷‍♀️

Oh believe me I'm just trying to help you be positive haha! The trust I have in my body is difficult to have after 3 losses. I find it very hard to believe this is really happening but being that we went through IVF I have to try & Hope & pray this pregnancy will work! 🤞🏻🌈🙌
