I know this question will come up at some point, and I don't want to have to answer it, its really no one's business if my pregnancy was planned or not....

Any idea of a good reply I can use which isn't rude/snarky but firmly deflects the question?

My husband used “are you implying we don’t know how to use birth control?”

i was always a bit flummoxed

I like 'That's a very personal question.' It might just cause a rude, nosy person to stop and think. I do think half the time people, even generally well-meaning people just don't think!!

I'm 36 and at my wedding last year my husband's aunty asked 'Do you think you'll have any more??' which is a tricky and sad question for me as we've been trying for a few years quietly. So I just said 'I don't know, I don't have a crystal ball...'

I read that as your aunt asking if you thought you'd have any more weddings! That would have been an equally odd question to ask AT your wedding.
