I sympathise with all of you feeling anxious about lack of symptoms. My rhr is trending downwards and that makes me a bit worried but I just read a study which indicates that the rhr goes down around 7 weeks to then rise again a few weeks later, so that makes me feel better. You can read it here if you want to: https://www.whoop.com/en-gb/thelocker/pregnancy-study-exercise-hrv-rhr/
Why are we not like robots and we would all have the same symptoms and pregnancies would progress in exactly the same way 😅 I try and do breathing exercises and positive affirmations when I feel anxious and it helps a little bit. I’m coming up to the date when I lost my pregnancy the last time and I wish I could stop worrying and wondering if it’s all ok. It’s exhausting!

I’ve got an 8 week scan next week and can’t wait for that.

Hi Ladied! 6 weeks today for me! I'm booked in for a scan at 8 weeks so on the countdown! Just fatigue, headaches and nausea for me atm but not too bad. This group has been keeping me sane though just reading all your comments!

TMI2000 · 24/03/2023 09:16

Morning all, I've had my second set of HCG Bloods done, Last week they were 308 and exactly a week later they were 2078 - I think this is pretty good though not exactly doubling every 48 hours? Should I be concerned? My progesterone was 45. Time to call the midwives I think! 💜

vix_85 · 24/03/2023 09:33

@TMI2000 I've had mine back today and I've gone from 223 on Tues to 355 yesterday, so in 48 hours. The doctor is encouraged but its not quite doubled, so another booked for Monday. Fingers crossed for us both that all ok 🙏🤞 xx

Skyla01 · 24/03/2023 09:53

Relieved to hear so many have no symptoms/ symptoms coming and going. Same for me! I've considered an early scan but I think I would still be worried a week later so going to wait until 12 weeks. I'm 6+5 today. Last time I suddenly felt awful at midday at 7 weeks and that was me laid up for weeks. So waiting to see how I get on over the weekend.

I'm going to try and do some relaxing pregnancy yoga tonight. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I felt a little worried last night, pre pregnancy my RHR was 61-63 and has been over 75 and for two days my RHR has been 66 and 63 yesterday... I panicked but this morning it's now 75. Paired with not many symptoms other than sore boobs I panicked a little bit and had a wobble. Feeling a lot better about it all this morning!

Houseonthehills · 24/03/2023 11:20

glad to have this thread to fall back on. For those who are expecting their 2/3/4th bsby, were you all sick for all pregnancies or can symptoms changed. Currently on my third pregnancy and I was so sick for my other two but I’m 5.4 now and have no sickness.

omgwth · 24/03/2023 11:24

@Houseonthehills i had severe morning sickness and migraines for my first two for the full 9 months but so far not as bad although I was on beta blockers before I found out about this blessing which may have affected my symptoms showing. I'm hoping it's just third times the charm and this pregnancy is easier for us both!

SnookyPook · 24/03/2023 11:26

@Skyla01 Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube! She has tons of great yoga workouts and some are specific pregnancy ones. She's lovely and explains it so clearly.

@Houseonthehills I've just been nauseous with both mine with no vomiting. My sister was quite sick with her first pregnancy but her second was really like mine. Her first was a girl and second was a boy... Makes me wonder if I'm cooking up another little boy! Are your first two kids the same sex? Maybe this one is different? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know that's not the case for everyone though!

MooseWL · 24/03/2023 11:40

@Houseonthehills I was really sick with my first and I was the same as you about 5+4 wondering why I wasn't sick this time. At 6 weeks it kicked in and I've felt horrendous ever since worse than my first. Almost like payback for worrying I wasn't feeling ill 😅
I've managed to get a cyclizine prescription today so really hoping they help!

Houseonthehills · 24/03/2023 11:47

Thanks girls. Yes maybe it’s too early. I have two boys but I know friends with mixed that all had different symptoms… I can’t remember when it started the previous pregnancies maybe it’s just too early

JD90 · 24/03/2023 11:54

Does anyone else here find themselves setting weird little goals to try and ease their anxiety?
So initially it was once I get a clear positive on an 'early' test, then once I get an obvious positive on a 'normal' test, then once I get past a certain dpo (as that was when I had my chemical) then to get a positive on a test no matter what time of day I test, so on and so forth. I know it won't change the outcome but I find sometimes it's the only way I can quiet my brain for a little while. I am also aware of how OTT and ridiculous it is, you don't need to tell me 🤣

Houseonthehills · 24/03/2023 11:57

My weirdest symptom is insomnia which I never had before. I wake up at 3am and struggle/don’t go back to sleep. Never in my life had this

Pip1402 · 24/03/2023 12:08

@Houseonthehills I had bad insomnia at first but it's settled down a bit now. I still wake up earlier than I'd like to though!

@MooseWL Great news on the Cyclizine! I hope it helps.

Fairylight102 · 24/03/2023 12:10

@Houseonthehills @Pip1402 I was literally just coming on here to say has anyone else been experiencing insomnia in early pregnancy!

The last couple of nights I’ve been awake for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night, it’s exhausting and means I’m spending the day feeling quite jittery

I’m just coming up to 5 weeks.

38andtrying · 24/03/2023 12:11

@Houseonthehills i usually wake between 4 and 5 to go to the loo and cannot get back to sleep

Houseonthehills · 24/03/2023 12:12

It’s so strange and annoying isn’t it. I even went into the spare room and then the sofa last night I was that desperate but nothing works.

Randyforgiles · 24/03/2023 12:20

@Houseonthehills my first pregnancy I was very sick and it was a girl. My second I was severely sick and had another little girl. I'm now 6+4 and have just had nausea so far, but I was given cyclizine and omeprazole early by a sympathetic GP. Makes me wonder if it's a boy. I have never had a preference for girl or boy but I'm not sure id know what to do with a little boy haha. Anyone else still drinking normal tea and coffee? I went off coffee so quickly the last times and I think the caffeine withdrawal really contributed to how bad I felt so I'm actually trying to keep drinking a couple of coffees a day (instead of my usual 4/5) so it doesn't hit so hard.

Houseonthehills · 24/03/2023 12:24

I’m the opposite I don’t know what I’d do with a girl haha

i still drink coffee and tea, couldn’t survive without it. Drank it on my other pregnancies too when I wasn’t sick

Shaker21 · 24/03/2023 12:37

@JD90 I am doing the same so I am glad I am not the only one lol I like to have mini milestones along the way. I turn over a new week on Wednesdays so I hit 5 weeks this Wednesday just gone and then just getting to the weekend is nice and then when the week starts on a Monday I have a few days to then get to a new week. I have also been the same with doing tests, I have been going through the Clearblue digital to get 1-2 and 2-3 and I am just waiting for the 3+ to appear and I feel like that will calm me for a little while lol!

I have also been hit with the insomnia already...I have found myself being so tired that I want to go to bed at like 8.30-9 but then I have been waking up at 11.30 and then again at 2-4 sometime and struggling to get back to sleep. Also waking up extremely hot, either just feeling really really hot or physically sweating. Last night was the first night where the hotness and insomnia actually wasn't so bad!

Randyforgiles · 24/03/2023 13:31

Yes I'm getting night sweats too. Which means I actually wake up freezing.

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 24/03/2023 13:43

I used to wake up dying for a coffee and since 5 weeks I haven't had a sip, just makes me feel nauseous thinking of it!! Killing me as I'm such a bad sleeper so really need coffee!

Pip1402 · 24/03/2023 13:53

Tea and coffee are about the only drinks I can stomach at the moment, bizarrely! I bought all sorts of soft drinks when I found out I was pregnant and can't face the thought of any of them at the moment!

Thack · 24/03/2023 14:05

I've had a little insomnia too, it's eased now. It'll be back, I'm sure!
Symptoms similar to my first so far.

I've never heard of all these hormone level things! Please don't stress yourself over it! It's not worth getting tests and numbers if it's going to cause worry. Every pregnancy is different, it'll be OK!!

Lanie03 · 24/03/2023 14:30

I’m due the 4th November with my first :)
