@3yearstrying I agree with @rathernotshare stop testing Smile

3yearstrying · 07/11/2021 12:46

@CurryandSnuggle @rathernotshare
Haha okay im definitely being paranoid. I'll stop and wait for my first scan on 2nd December! Thanks Flowers

pregnancydiaries · 07/11/2021 15:36

@3yearstrying me!!!! Same reason as you I was testing every day from finding out. At 6 weeks my line started to get slightly lighter and the control line slightly darker. I freaked out, went for a scan later that week and had a heartbeat. The midwife explained two things:

  1. The tests get confused when HCG levels reach such a high level and they aren’t able to distribute the ink appropriately. Sometimes in women this can even return a false negative. The tests don’t have enough ink to distribute evenly.
  2. Something called the hook effect if you give that a google

By 10 weeks your HCG will be through the roof the test won’t know what’s happening given they are made to detect levels as low as 10...

Tests = away!!! Xx

pregnancydiaries · 07/11/2021 15:37

@PeeAche how are you feeling? Just saw your comment about stomach muscle pain and have had to let my OH convince me that’s what mine is too from all the vomiting.xx

3yearstrying · 07/11/2021 15:39

@pregnancydiaries thank you!! Reassuring to know i'll have a google for sure! Deffo not buying any more tests im just going to wait now Star

pregnancydiaries · 07/11/2021 15:41

@3yearstrying good!! 2nd December really isn’t all that far away ♥️

HopefulJ2018 · 07/11/2021 16:08

@PeeAche @pregnancydiaries I’m a bit worried about tummy pain but it’s high up in the stomach area rather than low so I’m hoping it’s just from being sick everyday for the last 4 weeks and my tummy’s a bit tender.

pregnancydiaries · 07/11/2021 16:31

@HopefulJ2018 I’ve had this too right where the actual stomach is between my ribs, GP said it was gastritis from the HG and been prescribed omeprazole which has helped x

Dogmum5 · 07/11/2021 17:15

@PeeAche retching as apposed to being sick but thats only been this week. Ove felt fine all today thankfully. Sorry to hear youve pulled a muscle🙈

Poonmig · 07/11/2021 18:02

Hi, I wondered if I could join you guys please Smile I had an early scan due to spotting last week where they saw twins but no heartbeats yet so going for another scan this week. Nervous isn’t even the word! Hope you’re all ok and doing well Flowers

Brightsmoke · 07/11/2021 18:41

Welcome @Poonmig. Think that might be our first twins in the group 🙌🏻. Congratulations

I did the half marathon today. 9+6. Belly kept aching, so took it super slow but somehow I got round! Rewarded myself with a new snuggly hoodie in XL so I can squeeze a bump into it and tell everyone I ran the half whilst pregnant 😂.

Now sat in a salt bath trying to ease my achey muscles, dreading my 5am alarm clock tomorrow 💤

TTCjourney2021 · 07/11/2021 20:05

@Brightsmoke wow well done you!!!

MrsNT · 07/11/2021 20:08

@poonmig congrats on the twins and welcome to the group

MrsNT · 07/11/2021 20:10

How are you ladies doing.I am super tired today..still no nausea ..sometime a bit crampy but thats about it. Only other thing is i lose appetite at dinner time most days. And then i cam only eat fruits at that time.thought of eating anything else at that time makes me feel like ill be sick although no nausea. Anyone else like me?

beansprout55 · 07/11/2021 20:48

@Poonmig ahhhh twins! That's so exciting! Congrats and welcome to our lovely group xx

Nausea and tired - check! But still no vomiting although it's processing so I'm scared that will come. I'm ridiculous when I'm sick and literally cannot cope - I feel and act like death is closing in on me.

My worst symptom so far at 7 weeks - Spots!!!! I'm totally miserable. I woke up today and saw about 10 spots on my back! I've had 3 on my face this week too and one of them was a biggen. Worried as apparently it only gets worse by trimester?

CurryandSnuggle · 07/11/2021 20:51

Trying not to panic but my knickers felt wet like I’d wet myself. It was like a gush of blood, and it’s bright red. Terrified. Supposed to be 10+2 today. Going to phone GP in the morning but I’m a bit of a mess.

TinyTickler · 07/11/2021 21:10

@CurryandSnuggle are you ok? In any pain? I hope you have someone with you. Thinking of you and hoping for the best.

CurryandSnuggle · 07/11/2021 21:17

@TinyTickler DH is here and a good support but I think he’s just as worried as I am. Not helping that he has a job interview tomorrow, bless him. I’m not in pain but I’m convinced I’m still bleeding, I’ve put a pad in but I’m scared to look. I feel damp though (sorry for TMI).

TTCjourney2021 · 07/11/2021 21:41

Sending lots of positivity your way @CurryandSnuggle xxx

crazycatladyinsurrey · 07/11/2021 21:41

@CurryandSnuggle if you're bleeding, can you call 111 and seek advice from them? I'd be half tempted to go into A&E. (Apologies if not UK based)

Hope you're ok and my fingers are crossed for it to be nothing serious xx

Clomid1 · 07/11/2021 21:42

@Poonmig slightly jealous of the twins 😅 Welcome and congrats

@MrsNT yep still the same as you no nausea.

@CurryandSnuggle we’ve seen a lot of cases on this thread of bleeding and the baby being okay. Hopefully you get an answer quickly. You will be fine I am sure

beansprout55 · 07/11/2021 21:47

Yes if you can't wait until the morning go to A&E. I did last weekend when I was spotting and they scanned me and took bloods etc. Praying and hoping for the best xx wonderful you have a supportive DH xxx

RoseValleyRambles · 07/11/2021 21:47

@curryandsnuggle So sorry - here's hoping it's just bleeding and nothing serious, but you must be so stressed. I think they advise a&e if you're flooding through a towel in 1 or 2 hrs but you'll probably find advice on you EPU website, and worth calling 111 if it's anything near that.

CurryandSnuggle · 07/11/2021 22:05

I’m still wiping red blood but there’s very little on the pad. Thinking I am going to sit tight and phone GP in the morning. Thanks for the support everyone.

Prema112 · 08/11/2021 07:21

Hey @CurryandSnuggle thinking of you, how are you this morning?
