Hi All,

It took me some time to post this, but I feel I need to say a big thank you to a number of ladies who have supported me in my journey to motherhood.

I was active on a number of chats on here back in 2019, particularly on the miscarriage board. I met some amazing people who have pulled me back up when I was at my lowest following the loss of my first baby. I went on to have another two miscarriages, then went through my local rainbow recurrent miscarriage clinic, had all sorts of tests and no answers. It was the hardest thing I've ever been through.

The amazing ladies who helped me went on to have their rainbow babies and I was still waiting for mine. Then I took a break, from TTC and in general, from stuff.

And now I could not be happier to say that I am writing this cuddling my two month old son. My heart is full and my arms are full. The wait is over. He is absolutely perfect.

In the most annoying of ways, it just happened. The phrase every woman suffering after baby loss hates so much - I know it all too well. My fourth pregnancy happened unexpectedly and progressed fine, with some complications, nothing out of ordinary.

I am writing this because I need to thank those of you who stood by me and lifted me up, cheered on me, read my posts when I was pouring my broken heart out and there weren't many people IRL who listened, and even less of them who truly understood. I will never forget what you've done for me. I don't know if you'll ever read this or if you're still active on this website, but I hope one day this message of thanks will reach you. I hope you and your little ones are doing well.

Sending lots and lots of love to @SunStruck @Catconfusion @Avocuddles @Kiki061190 and ladies from our threads at the time.

And to those of you still waiting, if anyone reads this - don't give up. It's so, so hard and it can feel like this journey has no end. But you are not alone and this amazing community will carry you through all the way till you find your peace, whatever this may take.

Love,
Mrs MGE & baby MGE xxx

Hi everyone, how are you getting on?

Our baby girl is now three weeks old. Elwen Jude was a massive 11 pounds 6oz so was very pleased to have had a section. We’re all recovering well. Xx

@MrsMGE @SunStruck and all others, I remember you all from the conception and miscarriage threads! So nice to see your updates despite anxiety ridden times and very tough times that have been had, and are still ongoing.

My little girls Mia is 18 months old now. After 2 miscarriages and a termination she was my rainbow.

It made my day finding this thread! X

SunStruck · 19/04/2022 15:48

@Catconfusion oh I just seen this, she is beautiful! Love her name too 🥰 so happy to hear all went well! Are you guys all done now? 😄

@LASandOtto im so happy for you! 18 months! My son is also 18 months now 🥰 time flies!

I am currently 28 weeks pregnant so third trimester already! Our second baby boy arriving in July 😄 not sure I'm ready yet ha-ha! @Catconfusion how are you finding being a mum of 2?!

Catconfusion · 19/04/2022 19:55

Great news @LASandOtto so pleased you got your rainbow! Xx

@sunstruck yes definitely done now. We’ll both be 43 in the summer so chances dwindling anyway. I just don’t think I could go through all the anxiety again and potential losses. Plus it was physically hard carrying such a big baby.

It’s lovely to have completed our family. It’s tough having a toddler and a newborn so we’re exhausted but happy. It’s so bizarre having a different baby. She’s so different but we’re getting there with figuring out her needs.

Congrats again on your baby boy. I’m so pleased it’s working out for you. Not long now and he’ll be here? How are you feeling? Xx

MrsMGE · 20/04/2022 23:25

I am not getting any notifications again, really sorry!

@Catconfusion Congratulations and welcome, Elwen! What a beautiful Welsh name and what s gorgeous girl. How are you doing now?

@SunStruck Wow, officially third trimester for you! Fantastic. I can't believe how quickly it's gone. Are you feeling ok? Ready for no 2?

@LASandOtto Hello! So pleased you've found us and many congratulations to you! Delighted to hear you have your beautiful rainbow girl.

My son is now just over 8 months old and I've just managed to zip up my pre-pregnancy jeans so I'm in no TTC rush at all.

He is starting nursery next month and I'll be back in work. It feels so abstract! Really don't want to think about it just yet!

Oh my goodness! I stumbled upon this thread as I've not been on MN for some time. @MrsMGE I absolutely remember you from the Dreaming of Rainbow babies thread. I went by Anxious Lady then. I'm so happy to find out that you have a beautiful baby boy, who must now seem so big! My DS is 17 months now and is an absolute lunatic 😂. I've just found out that I'm about 5 weeks pregnant so I'm cautiously dipping my toe back into the MN waters for support.

MrsMGE · 24/04/2022 10:26

Hey @STom2! I remember you very well too! Thank you & so happy to hear you have your beautiful rainbow boy too ❤ Gentle congratulations on your news too, how are you feeling now? I'm sure MN will rally around to support you again. I feel like I've gone through several support threads with no luck BUT it finally happened and I don't know how I'd have done it without you all xxx

@Catconfusion we are also done after this haha! I can imagine it was hard for the body carrying such a big baby! Yeah 2 under 2 is daunting isn't it.. but hopefully it will get easier in a few years when they can entertain eachother and are close in age!

@MrsMGE never ready 🤣🤣 still thinking what have we done! Happy to hear you're going back to work, i actually liked gojng back! Exercise the brain again 🤣

STom2 · 27/04/2022 12:48

Thanks @MrsMGE . I'm feeling okay. Still little to no symptoms and I'm roughly 6 weeks today. So I'm wildly swinging between being grateful I feel okay (due to trying to keep up with a lively little boy), and waking in the middle of the night worried that I've no symptoms. Honestly, can't win haha!!

Catconfusion · 08/10/2022 14:12

Hey everyone! How are we all doing? I was just interested in any updates. Beren is now 2 1/2 years and little Elwen is 6 months. I can’t believe it. We’re all doing well though.

I hope you’re all ok!

xx

Hey, @Catconfusion! Lovely to hear from you. Goodness, she's so gorgeous! Glad you're doing well, I'm sure the little ones must be keeping you super busy!

My son is 15 months old, toddling around everywhere and is becoming really strong-minded (I guess we know where this came from...)! He is absolutely lovely, fun to be around, very curious and affectionate. He is so confident around other children and adults alike AND he likes a lie in on the weekend! So apart from an occasional tough moment or when he's ill or going through a leap, he's really delightful. I am slowly thinking that maybe if I eventually managed to create someone so perfect, I could have a go again. I have two close friends, one pregnant now and the other one with a newborn, both second time mums after loss or infertility history and it's making me so broody. My boy is now so much bigger and more interactive than the adorable tiny newborns and I am thinking what if I had both, him and a tiny baby, wouldn't it just be so much happiness. He'd make a fabulous big brother I'm sure. Ahhhh.

Hope all of you ladies are ok and your pregnancies are going well, please post an update if you can xxx

Hi ladies, @MrsMGE @Catconfusion (and everyone else on this thread!) just an update from me - I had 2 under 2 for a whole, now I have a 26 month old and a 5 month old 🤣 so very tired but happy and thankful we have 2 healthy boys! @MrsMGE I thought going for the second was much easier mental health wise as I wasn't as naive and to be honest so very busy with number 1 that I didn't have much time to think and worry... I treated it quite clinically and was surprised when all tests plus 12 week scan coming back as normal! I also felt that the pressure about not being able to have any children was off, I already had a gorgeous boy so whatever happens will happen. I say definitely go for number 2 if that's the number you want :) Leo is an amazing big brother!

Whiffle77 · 14/12/2022 08:27

Oh wow I can't believe I have found this group, I posted on the pregnancy thread too! My little boy is now two, time has flown by! It is so great to see everyone's updates. And lovely to see a few of you have had a second! We are undecided on a second - I am very broody at the minute but our little man is a tornado, and I don't think we can see how we could cope with another one of him! He is lovely just very very very high energy! I also struggled a lot with the transition and my mental health after he was born which is another consideration, plus turns out I an far less patient than I thought I might be 🙈

Thank you for starting this thread, it has made me feel all warm and fuzzy to see so many familiar names
