You have no reason to be ashamed.

If your mum is toxic, please limit contact to the bare minimum.

Surround yourself with positivity :)

The only person that is a disgrace
Is you[/quote]
This isn't really true is it lol.. The age gap is very concerning anyone can see that, but thats not the topic of discussion.

Putting that aside, wish you all the best going forward with your new baby

@ISharedAReel

Why is the age gap concerning?
We have been together nearly 30 years
And he is a great dad
But
Thankyou

If your partner is supportive and you would like a baby, have the baby.
Why don’t you chat to your GP about it, or a friend. Have a little think for a day or two and go from there.
I was quite old when I had DD, it’s a bit Shock but she’s five now and all is well.

Kittykat93 · 17/06/2021 17:09

Honestly I think your partner is too old to be having a baby if hes 63. I had older parents (although nowhere near 63!!) And both of them had sadly passed away by the time I was 21. Not saying that would happen to you of course but I'm trying to give the perspective from someone who's been through that. Losing my parents has destroyed my life, by the time your child is 20 your husband will be mid 80s !!! Or dead already.

tashx · 17/06/2021 17:34

@ISharedAReel

Like I said 30 years ago
And 4 children later
So no concern

@Kittykat93

So it is ok
For Rod Stewart ?

My sisters Dad died when she was 19
So that is also not an issue

My last
I came on here for advice
As I was worried about the baby's health

Not negativity
Clearly it's the wrong place
And
No
I will not kill a healthy baby

If you came on here to want everyone to say congrats baby will be fine, you should have said that. 🤷‍♀️

whatthejiggeries · 17/06/2021 17:59

I don't think 43 is too old but 63 is. I don't know what I would do in your situation. People will make digs I'm sure but if you are happy with your choice I would ignore them! I think you have to accept you could end up a single parent In a very short space of time - you need to take that into account when making your decision. I wouldn't feel ashamed though - Michael Douglas wasn't

RuthW · 17/06/2021 19:04

You can contact BPAS. They don't just deal with terminations but will help you make the right choice for you.

The receptionist was correct in that gps no long deal with pregnancy but you should have been both the midwife and BPAS number.

It may be worth speaking with a counsellor to help gain some clarity.

Try to be gentle and compassionate with yourself.

All I can say is the decision is yours. It should be about you. You are the one who has to live with the decision.

Put yourself first xxx

If you want to talk to someone there are some charities you can approach. Mind for example. Or you can look for some
Private counselling. There's lots
Of online services there's days too. Harley therapy is a website where counsellors register. Can get an hours session from £30. X
