4+1 day and started spotting again, this is my 4th pregnancy and I've already had 3 early losses. My most recent being a chemical last month.
When I just went to the loo I have discharge with a slight brown tinge to it, this is how it always starts 😭 I don't think I can go through this is again

@Sunshine3013 I haven't, I've asked for them but my doctor doesn't want to give them to me until I've had tests done x

@SwanShaped thank you! The cramps seem to have stopped now and still no spotting. So hoping it was just stretching like you said. Second lot of bloods tomorrow so will soon see ☺️ xx

Just an update, got my bloods results back this morning and they have more than doubled which is good ☺️. They've gone from 1072 to 2926. My mind has been out at rest for the time being 😬 xxx

Congrats on your bloods - that sounds really promising.

FWIW I had awful cramping off and on throughout the whole of 1st and 2nd trimesters of my current PG (now 34 weeks) - completely indistinguishable from the cramps I had with my losses at the beginning.

The main difference I had early on was stronger line progression - which is what your HCG results are showing but with more certainty as you're actually being tested! Other than that everything felt pretty much the same which is really tough mentally as you're constantly double guessing yourself. Good luck!

Cafeaulait27 · 26/02/2021 11:04

That’s great news on your bloods!

When will you be tested to see if your progesterone is low?

I got progesterone privately as it was taking too long through nhs, but I now have an nhs prescription to last me for the rest of the 12 weeks as it’s SO expensive xx

lockdownbabyx · 26/02/2021 11:32

Thank you @BlueberryPancake21, that's really good to know. I do definitely feel more positive now. The spotting and cramping have all stopped so that's helped. I have a scan in 2 weeks when I'll be 6+4 so I hope il be able to see little beans heartbeat and then I can relax for a while ☺️. Congratulations on your pregnancy, not long left! Hope it all goes well xxx

@Cafeaulait27 thank you, I feel loads better now ☺️. They have no plans to test my progesterone, I have a scan in a couple of weeks with the EPU so will ask them ☺️ xx

@Cafeaulait27 how did you get progesterone privately? Do you mean a doctor prescribed it privately?

MsK89 · 26/02/2021 17:31

Hey hope you don’t mind me jumping on but I’ve found this thread really helpful.
My story: Sunday 21st got 3 faint positives.... Tuesday 23rd clear blue strong positive at 16dpo I
I then had a tiny bit of spotting weds morning but nothing since, until tonight I’ve had some more spotting.
I have a septate uterus so much more likely to have a miscarriage and bleeding, so I’m in a panic! Had some bloods taken today and got to wait til weds to find out what the results are and then I can be referred to EPU as I will be 6 weeks
This is my second pregnancy, as I had a MMC in august last year

MsK89 · 26/02/2021 17:32

Sorry sent the message to soon! Wanted to say wishing you all the best @lockdownbabyx and anyone else reading who is having the same worries as me xx

lockdownbabyx · 26/02/2021 19:17

Hi @MsK89 I'm sorry to hear about your MMC, I'm glad you have found this thread helpful! It's a very anxious time, especially after previous MC. I hadn't heard of a Septate uterus, I just had to google it. I'm sorry, that just must make you so much more anxious! Are you able to take anything to help you? Xx

Started listening to a podcast (from a recommendation from a lady on here but I can't remember which thread I saw it) and honestly it's been so refreshing.
It's called the Worst Girl Gang Ever, I listen on Spotify. Been listening on my daily dogs walks, and although sometimes I end up looking like a crazy if I bump into anyone because I'm crying, it's such therapy to hear people actually talk about miscarriage/pregnancy loss/stillbirth so openly. Well worth it if you have some spare time. ❤️

lockdownbabyx · 26/02/2021 19:31

Oh thanks @els10 I will have a look,m. How are you feeling? Are you booked in to have your second lot of bloods done? Xx

OP posts:
els10 · 26/02/2021 19:53

@lockdownbabyx no, heard nothing from the doctors today or yesterday like I said they would. I don't think she really knew what she was testing me for to be honest. I'm just going to try and relax now, and think what will be will be! Going to retest on Thursday, if all good then leave another week and test again. Then I'll be 6+2, and I think if it's still positive and strong I'll book a private scan for 8 weeks. I am feeling a bit cheated of this experience though. I imagine in a pregnancy where you haven't experienced loss it's all sunshine and excitement for the first few weeks that you're keeping this wonderful little secret. But for me I just don't know if I can even class myself as pregnant! It's a very weird feeling. 😔

lockdownbabyx · 26/02/2021 19:58

@els10 I would call the doctors on Monday for another blood test if I were you. Will give you an answer a lot sooner and be more accurate than a HPT. Are you still spotting? Aw bless you, I know what you mean and it's really not fair, I'd love to be able to get excited but i just can't. I don't even get excited with BFP's anymore as I know from experience it doesn't always mean your going to get a baby at the end. It is a very odd feeling 😔. I have everything crossed for both of us xxx

els10 · 26/02/2021 20:11

@lockdownbabyx no haven't had any spotting since tues 🤞🏼 the relief I feel every time I go to the loo and it's okay. Hope it continues!

lockdownbabyx · 26/02/2021 20:14

@els10 oh that's good news! Look after yourself and try to relax, it's all we can do ☺️ xx

MsK89 · 26/02/2021 20:43

Hey @lockdownbabyx thanks for the reply. Yeah it’s quite uncommon, it was only noticed at my 2nd early scan when my miscarriage was confirmed. Can’t take anything for it but I have been under gynaecology. How are you today?

minmooch · 09/03/2021 06:39

How are you @lockdownbabyx ?

lockdownbabyx · 09/03/2021 11:00

@minmooch I'm really good thank you! Since I had my bloods done I've been a lot more positive. Nausea also kicked in this week so that's reassuring. I have my first scan in Friday, I'm nervous and excited about that ☺️ xx

lockdownbabyx · 09/03/2021 11:01

@MsK89 I'm sorry I've only just read your reply. How are you doing? Xx

@els10 how are you getting on? I've tried not to spend loads of time i Mumsnet so feel I need to catch up with everyone 😂 xx

OP posts:
MsK89 · 09/03/2021 13:40

Hi @lockdownbabyx my pregnancy unfortunately ended in early miscarriage... on the plus side only one more miscarriage until I can be referred for further tests 🙈 it’s crazy that women have to go through this 3 times before investigation

Hope your scan goes well xxx

lockdownbabyx · 09/03/2021 14:38

@MsK89 oh I'm so sorry 😢 have you spoke to your GP at all? As my cousin managed to get her GP to do tests and things after she had 2. Might be worth a try xx

OP posts:
MsK89 · 09/03/2021 17:34

@lockdownbabyx thank you. It’s shit but I’m determined I will get there!

I have asked to be referred and he will see if he can refer me early but he said they will probably want to know if there has been 3 or not. The annoying thing is I’m sure I had a chemical in feb last year but it wasn’t ever logged at the doctors so it doesn’t go down as a 3rd miscarriage 😭

lockdownbabyx · 09/03/2021 17:54

@MsK89 they should count a chemical, did you tell your doctor about it? A chemical is still an early miscarriage so they should xx
