4+1 day and started spotting again, this is my 4th pregnancy and I've already had 3 early losses. My most recent being a chemical last month.
When I just went to the loo I have discharge with a slight brown tinge to it, this is how it always starts 😭 I don't think I can go through this is again

Oh I'm sorry @els10, have you called the EPU again since it's been red? I would. They're not usually concerned when it's brown but they normally ask you to let them know if it turns red. Haha I know, ttc makes us all crazy doesn't it 😂. Wishing you all the best xx

@lockdownbabyx I rang my GP this morning who suggested EPU, but last time this happened they couldn't see/scan me until 6 weeks anyway, and I'm only 4 weeks today. I'd think chemical but my tests are so strong!
I'm in for a blood test at the doctors Thursday, I think depending on the results of that I'll ring EPU. This is my second so I doubt they'll give me anything, just tell me to aim for a third MC then I'll get help!xx

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 13:57

@els10 oh I see, it's just a waiting game the same as me then 😔. It's torture waiting, I just want to know either way. I won't get my results till Friday. Still had no more spotting today, but had period type cramps all day. Something is definitely wrong I can feel it xx

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 19:01

Well had my blood taken today and my HCG is 1072 I'm only 4 weeks and 2 days. Does that seem high? I wasn't expecting that.
I know the most important things is the levels doubling, I was just curious xx

Chica1990 · 23/02/2021 19:02

@lockdownbabyx I had period feeling for about two weeks from when I got my bfp.

Sorry for the personal question but did you do the deed before you got your spotting? I’ve read people on here who have had the same after this.

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 19:06

@Chica1990 nope we haven't dtd since I got my bfp because I've been too scared to incase it caused bleeding, my poor DP 😂

I haven't spotted anymore, was only a tiny bit yesterday but I have had period like cramps on and off all day. I know it's normal though, I just can't help but worry. How far are you now? Had the cramps stopped? Xx

OP posts:
Chica1990 · 23/02/2021 20:14

@lockdownbabyx I don’t blame you I was exactly the same after reading stuff on here.

Oh that’s great the spotting has stopped. If I go by my scan on Friday I’m 11 weeks tomorrow and I haven’t had any cramps this week but they were constant for those first two weeks and every 2-3 days for a couple of weeks after then got less and less often. I probably had one early last week and now I just see them as a sign as stretching. But those first two weeks when I felt the period could break through at any moment were horrible!

Are you going to be getting an early scan?

Sprockerdilerock · 23/02/2021 20:15

I had spotting from 5-7 weeks and then again at 10 and it was fine Smile Sonographer said it could be implantation bleeding or just cervical irritation (sounds delightful). Hope all ok x

Sprockerdilerock · 23/02/2021 20:16

**brown spotting

Mummyof2Terrors · 23/02/2021 20:16
@lockdownbabyx I’m so sorry, I really hope it’s not the start of anything for you.

I’ve also suffered 4 miscarriages over the course of the last 12 months and it’s been soul destroying.

I am one of the women that will shout from the rooftops about taking a low dose aspirin. It’s the only thing I did differently from 1dpo this time around and my pregnancy has felt different from the outset. Strong lines early on, great progression, heartbeat seen early on at 5+4 and every scan since has been spot on.

Because of my recurrent losses the EPU also started me on progesterone pessaries which I’m to use until 16 weeks. But I honestly think it’s the aspirin that’s made the difference.

I truly truly hope you have a different outcome to your previous pregnancies.
Low dose aspirin was my miracle worker. Take care.

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 20:18

@Chica1990 oh that's really reassuring to hear, just worry about every little thing. I'm so incredibly bloated, especially after I eat. And my boobs are sooo sore, even worse today so I'm hoping these are all good signs.

I have a scan booked for 6+4 weeks, I also had my bloods done today and they were 1072. Will see on Thursday if they have doubled. Congrats to getting to 11 weeks, must be a relief to be past the really early stage! Have you had any scans yet? Xx

OP posts:
Chica1990 · 23/02/2021 20:29

Those are good signs! I was about 6 plus a few days when morning sickness started hurting so hopefully you can get away without for a bit longer than me!

Are you getting your bloods done again in a couple of days to check progression?

I did have a scan right on 6 weeks on the nhs (due to previous ectopic to make everything was where it should be) and had a private one on Friday just because I needed to see it again with my own eyes. I know a good scan doesn’t guarantee anything but it does help you feel better for a little bit and it’s good to know it’s not all in your head 😅

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 20:38

@Chica1990 this his my 4 pregnancy (none successful yet) and I've never really had sickness, so I'm dreading that 😂. But at the same time I want it just to reassure me I'm actually pregnant haha. Yes more bloods being done Thursday so fingers crossed . I was surprised my hcg was In the 1000s already, I wasn't expecting that.

I can imagine I will be spending money on private scans too, I want to see pics as often as I can haha. Anything we do for some reassurance eh? 🤣.

I had brown spotting, red spotting and huge gushes of bright red blood with my 11 year old and spotting with my 8 year old. So even red blood doesn’t necessarily mean bad news. Sorry for your losses. I hope this time is good news.

ILoveSlipperss · 23/02/2021 21:13

Will you keep us updated my lovely ?

Would love to hear about your journey! Good luck x

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 21:18

@SergeiL yeah I know it's all totally normal too, just so hard not to assume the worst because of my history. I'm feeling a bit more positive today though :)

@ILoveSlipperss I will 100%, will hopefully have some good news on Thursday/Friday :) xx

SergeiL · 23/02/2021 21:21

@lockdownbabyx I feel for you. I had one loss as well so cannot imagine how scared you are.

SwanShaped · 23/02/2021 21:26

The waiting must be so hard. Fingers crossed for you.

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 21:32

Thank you @SwanShaped @SergeiL. Luckily I am mentally strong but it's still very frustrating! The waiting is the worst, especially as I'm furloughed with nothing else to do but read threads on Mumsnet haha xx

timeforanother1 · 23/02/2021 22:02

Hope all goes well.

When I was between 4-7 weeks pregnant I had awful cramps like period pain.
Had a lovely pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Really hope this time is your time.

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 22:04

Thank you @timeforanother1 that's really reassuring ☺️ it's does me good to hear positive stories xx

OP posts:
Chica1990 · 23/02/2021 22:12

@lockdownbabyx wow I’m sorry to hear you’ve had an awful time of it! Please let me (and us all!) know the outcome of the bloods and the scans!

I also just got a cramp just now which reminded me to check this.

Have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 22:24

@Chica1990 thank you! I will keep you all updated, I hate it when I find good threads but then there is no outcome at the end 🤦🏻‍♀️. Haven't had any cramps for a few hours and still no spotting so I have everything crossed too 🤞🏼 xxx

OP posts:
SwanShaped · 24/02/2021 07:54

Hope this time is the time for you. I had lots of period like cramps with pregnancy too so hopefully that was all just the stretching going on.

Sunshine3013 · 24/02/2021 07:56

Have you tried progesterone pessaries?

They help for reoccurent miscarriages.
