@maymay6575 I'm 31 weeks so slightly ahead of you!

I feel strangely ok lol. Get awful backaches and struggle to sleep at night (I have kicked hubby to spare room a few times 😂) but other than that I'm ok. Oh and getting out of breath walking outside/up the stairs etc!

How are you feeling?

I've had the whole pregnancy being wfh due to lockdown so I've been quite lucky really. Just hoping it doesn't get extended too long as I'm due 4th jan!

MnM156 · 03/11/2020 22:43

I am almost 32 weeks. I am feeling fine but the baby might not be doing so well. Had a scan today and cried all evening. Have another scan in 10 days time. Feeling so numb and down.

maymay6575 · 03/11/2020 22:47

@H8624 I'm feeling okay other than the aches and pains and the uncomfortable sleeping I can't wait to meet him & I'm glad your feeling good 💕💕💕

I am 29 weeks tomorrow so a bit behind! I get very stiff and achy hips now especially in the evenings.
Hope all is ok @MnM156

Poodlemum1 · 04/11/2020 02:41

I’m nearly 32 weeks.
I have pelvic pain backache and firing it hard to sleep.
I was diabetic type 2 when I fell pregnant (third pregnancy) and I’ve had my growth scan today . Baby measuring big at 5lb 9oz so now I can’t sleep for worrying.
Drs said they will keep an eye on baby and get me as close to 38 weeks before my caesarean.

MnM156 · 04/11/2020 12:13

@maymay6575 @Grumpy19
I have had a difficult pregnancy since the start. Baby has unilateral talipes; which in itself is not a big deal as we know that there is a treatment that works 99% of times. However, the doctor has been scaring the hell out of us since the start. Says the Talipes could be because of a chromosomal defect even though all my previous blood works have come out low risk. We have researched that the Talipes associated with chromosomal defects are very rare. They offered me amniocentesis at week 20 which I refused as it had a risk of termination of pregnancy and because the doctor then said that she doesn't think it is because of the chromosomal defect as everything else looks very normal. I had my week 32 scan with her again yesterday and now the baby is measuring small. Since he is measuring small the doctor has said that it may be an indication of a chromosomal defect and I can have amniocentesis now and then can decide to terminate the pregnancy if there is a defect. I kept crying the whole day yesterday. It is too late for termination in my mind. I feel the baby move all the time. It is a proper human being in there now. If it were born today it has good chance of survival so how can I terminate now which is why I refused the amniocentesis again as I do not want the choice of termination at this stage.
I have another scan in 10 days to see his growth. If he is still measuring small then I am headed for an induction.

Grumpy19 · 04/11/2020 12:32

@MnM156 that is shocking!! I would be asking for a different Dr! If your blood works have been low risk then why would you risk your baby. To mention the idea of a termination at such a late stage is just so incredibly insensitive.
There could be many reasons why your baby is measuring small not to mention the inaccuracy of growth scans which you read on here all the time.
I would definitely ask to speak to another dr in future. Poor you!! X

maymay6575 · 04/11/2020 12:33

@MnM156 so sorry your going through this right now your baby will be fine 🙏🏽 and you will have a healthy baby don't listen to these doctor about termination it's your decision 💕 hoping everything goes well

@MnM156, I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I am nearly 32 weeks, like you, and I have been having extra scans too. There has been the possibility of an abnormality that is sometimes associated with a chromosomal defect. My baby is also measuring on the small side. I declined amniocentesis for the same reason as you....I decided not to risk preterm labour, when I have no intention of ending the pregnancy anyway. I feel cautiously optimistic about it, as besides the small baby and the suggestion if a possible abnormality, there have been no other markers and my screening tests were low risk.

In your case, try not to let this spoil your pregnancy. I think consultants in foetal medicine do have to point out the possibilities, however low the chances, to give mothers the options of finding out further information. But this does not mean that an unwelcome diagnosis is likely. In your case, it does sound like the chances of thus happening are still pretty low. With all the extra scans, it is likely another marker would have been picked up if this were the case? I feel for you though.....I have been preoccupied with worst vase scenarios, but I'm starting to feel more positive now. I understand their job is to point out the possibilities, but this does not mean it will happen. Sorry you're going through all this anxiety x

maymay6575 · 04/11/2020 12:39

@Grumpy19 that's so true there could be many reasons why your baby is measuring small pls don't listen to doctors sometimes they just have to give certain Scenarios but your baby will be fine 💙💙💙

@Somethingsnappy @maymay6575 @Grumpy19
Thank you so much for your reassuring messages. I have been pretty numb since yesterday. I have no idea what to believe. I also believe that there should have been other markers in case a chromosomal defect was in fact the issue. I am putting my trust in God for now and getting on with this pregnancy. I am praying not to have any unwanted surprises when the baby is born. This has been the most difficult phase of my life so far and that is saying a lot considering I have not had an easy life.

StaceImpactWfan · 04/11/2020 18:27

I'm 29+4 weeks. 3rd pregnancy. This ones taken its toll. I have severe back and pelvis ache and struggle to turn or move in bed. Also severely low iron which I may need transfusions for. Other than that though baby is OK but will find out more at 34 weeks when I have a scan for placenta position.

Grumpy19 · 04/11/2020 18:46

@MnM156 I would really ask for a second opinion. Not because I think you should be worried but because you should not be feeling so sad and numb at this time. As sonethingsnappy said, drs do have to point out worst case scenarios but they should be that, worst case. Another dr might make you feel more at ease with the situation as you prepare for the birth. X

@StaceImpactWfan this is my DC4 and it's definitely harder this time round. Not sure if that's just because I'm older or my body is just worn out!

Poodlemum1 · 07/11/2020 15:23

I’m 32 weeks today I’ve called the PAU this morning as my hands are swolllen .
I did strip and wash my two couches yesterday so probably that but I’ve been told to rest drink plenty and keep an eye out for any other symptoms.
I just feel so worn out .
This is my third pregnancy but my youngest daughter is 9 so it’s been a while .
Baby is showing big on my growth scans as well so maybe that but I feel so tired when I have lots to do xx

Grumpy19 · 07/11/2020 16:40

Hi @Poodlemum1. Hope you are feeling ok and getting plenty of rest. I am so tired all the time. I don't know if it is because it is genuinely harder this time round as my body is older or I've just forgotten what it is like at this stage! My youngest will be 7 when this one arrives. X

Poodlemum1 · 07/11/2020 16:47

@Grumpy19 I know how you feel I’m 38 and feeling it lol
Also trying to get some rest in my house is an impossibility 🤬

Grumpy19 · 07/11/2020 16:54

Yes, I'm 37. My 3 children have been off school for a week with a virus (not covid!) so the house is now a tip and I'm exhausted.
Can I ask why you're having growth scans? I am because of low papp-a but if anything baby seems on the larger side. (Especially his head circumference! 😬)

Poodlemum1 · 07/11/2020 17:26

@Grumpy19 I’m diabetic type 2 so when I found out I was pregnant (not planned lol) I was told o needed them.
Baby is measuring at 5lb 6oz last week so big big my two daughters were both under 7lb so I’m not used to big baby’s .
I’m having a planned C section but I’m feeling it .

Hannahp3 · 08/11/2020 09:42

Hi, I’m 30 weeks and struggling with pelvic girdle pain and pain in my hips, I’m normally quite tough with pain but I was in tears last night! I’m so worried I’m going to be a zombie by the time he finally comes, I’m working currently and have a 5yo and 4yo!xx

Poodlemum1 · 08/11/2020 10:37

@Hannahp3
I’m suffering from that as well, I’ve been given a support belt from physio but to be honest it’s not much good.
I’m taking paracetamol every 4 hours as I was putting off taking pain killers for baby sake.
Plenty of warm baths and I put a pillow between my knees when I sleep.
I’ve two girls as well but it’s hard when you still have to do your normal life .
Sending hugs x

Hannahp3 · 08/11/2020 10:46

Yeah same here!! Feel like when it gets to his due date I’ll be a big tired emotional mess hahaha!! And you too ❤️

maymay6575 · 08/11/2020 14:51
