First time mamas in third trimester?

Hey,

I just wanted to see how any other first time mums are getting on in their third trimester? I just find it interesting to hear how people are and not feel like the only pregnant woman in the world 😂 I’m stuck in the horrendous Leicester lockdown, so anything to connect with people!!!

I’m 29 weeks today, definitely more clumsy and getting tired now. How’s everyone else?

Xxx

I'm sorry @Margo34 that sounds like an awful situation and stress you don't need right now!
Clothes wise I have made sure I've got a good stock of plain whites (the 3 packs of m&s babygrows/vests on eBay, in first size and 0-3 as we don't know what gender we have, and we have been bought a good few babygrows etc from family but not tonnes tbh as we will buy more when the baby is here.
One think we found helpful was doing an amazon wish list for baby thinks we needed, OH is paid weekly and me monthly so he would go on each payday and buy something and I would go on each pay day and buy one bigger item, it soon piled up and felt very accomplished without the stress of doing a massive haul!
I also did pretty much what @Superscientist said and we picked 1 room per weekend and went through it together organising it.
@mammagmac it will all come together sometimes starting it is the hardest part isn't it!
I've just been told by midwife we are to pack for a 5 day stay just incase as there will definitely be no leaving once we are there, so I'm not stressing about overpacking I'd rather be safe than sorry x

We did similar with amazon but I set up a basket /saved for later and kept adding to it, whenever we needed anything else from amazon I would look through the saved for later items and added them with a quick search to see if they were cheaper on ebay etc. We went quite quickly from having nothing prepared to having most things just by adding one or two baby stuff with each order.

I had a Google doc to gather a list of bigger things like the pram/car seat etc. We have been able to pick up a few items second hand on ebay which has been good but required patience!

@Superscientist I have started an Amazon list of baby things to get and shared it with husband so he can add items and edit it too, wahoo! And I've ordered some 0-1m baby vests from H&M and first size baby grow sets from Next, and also now have some 0-3m baby grows too. Wahoo!
Apologies for my panic earlier but you all helped get me motivated!

Hi mamas, have any of you experienced hearing sounds from your bump? I'm 37 weeks today and three times this morning I heard a loud pop from my bump. I was panicking waiting for my waters to go but nothing happened? At this stage I've felt all sorts in there but never heard anything! X

PregnantPorcupine · 02/08/2020 13:37

@BabyB19 I have actually, yeah.. I just assumed it was coming from my stomach but I have no idea really Confused

I wouldn’t say I’ve heard “loud” pops but I’ve definitely heard pops before - I think it’s something to do with the amniotic fluid! Xxx

Hi all, 39 weeks here countdown is on!

@BabyB19 yes I've heard pops for a couple of week now, so strange! It often happens in bed and I think oh no I'm going to roll over and water is going to gush everywhere but nothing yet. Weird! Xx

BabyB19 · 02/08/2020 14:22

@Nellie3 @mammagmac @PregnantPorcupine
It's so weird how I've never heard it before and then today three times within a short space of time! Glad you've heard them too ive never heard people mention it before! I am the same all three times I was expecting waters to follow.
Following that I got a really super intense pain in my lower back that I've never felt before, I was close to fainting/throwing up and am now in bed. Feel weird today like odd stuff is happening. Probably nothing will come of it 🤷🏽‍♀️
39 weeks is so exciting! How is everyone doing? X

mammagmac · 02/08/2020 15:17

@BabyB19 hope you feel better or that maybe something very exciting is in story very soon 😁

I had an interesting end to my week - doctor checking my heart and lungs to make sure that the panic attacks I’ve been having weren’t also anything underlying... which ya know really helped with anxiety 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ Thankfully all is well, but I am feeling a bit prematurely fed up at 30 weeks!!! Xxx

I really hope so @mammagmac although nothings happened since this morning.
Oh god that does sound a worry but glad it's all ok!
You're still a little bit early on to be fed up yet hang in there 🤣 x
