I’ve never actually watched any of those baby shows and being a FTM think I probably should! We are still waiting for our Harmony NIPT results after having an increased risk on the combined screening.
I hope everyone else is doing well x

Safxxx · 26/08/2020 00:12

@Snorlax86 good luck with the results hope all is well ❤
I think these shows can help you prepare in a way, or maybe you might be put off the whole thing 🤣 as some births can be traumatic while others are as you might expect.
But I love it when a mother goes thru so much and once she holds the baby how calm she becomes like the whole thing is forgotten. Truly a blessing ❤

Snorlax86 · 26/08/2020 08:06

Thanks @Safxxx I did think it would be good preparation or terrifying me even more, I might give it a go when I’m closer to the time, at the moment I think I will continue to live in ignorance bliss 😂

Safxxx · 26/08/2020 09:38

@Snorlax86 🤣🤣

NotOnlyCatMum · 26/08/2020 10:14

Hi all!
I've been very distracted with work and holiday, but I'm trying to catch up.
Lovely to see that you are doing well, and getting excited about the little ones. We found out we are having a little boy 💙 it really makes thing much more real! I feel more connected to him now.
Congrats @babydust2412 on your little boy!
Fingers crossed @Snorlax86 for your test results

I'd also welcome any recommendations on the pillows, sleeping on my side is a struggle :D

Muriel84 · 26/08/2020 11:35

Hi everyone 👋 @babydust2412 that’s amazing you have a name! So exciting!

@Snorlax86 sorry to hear you’re still waiting for results from the harmony test. I hope they don’t make you wait much longer.

I’m also not sleeping well. I cannot get used to side sleeping and my left shoulder is sore and gets pins and needles if I sleep on that side. Brain also whirring at 3am. Soooo annoying. I bought a cheapo amazon pillow. Not that impressed but not actually tried sleeping at night with it. Just had a nap. Takes up a lot of room. X x x x

Safxxx · 26/08/2020 11:45

@NotOnlyCatMum Awe that's lovely you having a boy 💙💙💙

EThreepwood · 26/08/2020 12:42

Aww congratulations @babydust2412 and @NotOnlyCatMum on your baby boys 💙💙

I've got mine gender scan on Friday either my 3rd girl or 1st boy eek!

Good luck on your Harmony test @Snorlax86!

Snorlax86 · 26/08/2020 13:29

Thank you everyone, they called today to say not enough DNA in the sample so I will have to wait another week before they can take another sample and then at least another week for the result 🤦🏽‍♀️ I think I will just try to ignore it for now.

I had ticked the box to find out the sex but I will have to wait until the 20 week scan which isn’t until Oct!

babydust2412 · 26/08/2020 18:08

@NotOnlyCatMum aww congratulations on your little boy that's lovely 💙💙

Sorry for tmi but have any of you had mucus discharge. I've had a blob of whiteish mucus in my underwear tonight and am not sure whether to worry or not, was just smaller than maybe a 5p or so so not very big xx

@babydust2412 yes, I've had lots of this! Seems to be normal

babydust2412 · 27/08/2020 20:51

@peonyrose87 Thankyou so much that's very reassuring xx

peonyrose87 · 27/08/2020 21:10

@babydust2412 I think as long as it's not smelly, itchy etc then it's pretty normal!

Muriel84 · 28/08/2020 18:01

@babydust2412 me too... lots of it! X x x

babydust2412 · 28/08/2020 18:15

@Muriel84 @peonyrose87 Thankyou ladies that's super reassuring, midwife also said all is normal xx

@babydust2412 that’s ok! x x

I started sleeping with my V pillow the last two nights and it’s soooo much better for side sleeping. My shoulder isn’t anywhere near a achy. The size isn’t bothering my partner either. In fact he likes the pillow so much he wants one! Xxx

babydust2412 · 29/08/2020 12:53

@Muriel84 that's great! I got my pregnancy pillow yesterday and it's honestly a life saver I slept so well and so comfortably last night, definitely a necessary investment xxx

Hi all! I'm due the 15th of Feb. Already had 4 scans due to baby liking to make us worry (bleeding etc!)

Where is everyone getting maternity clothes from? I definitely need to be getting some now I'm 16+1 weeks!

babydust2412 · 01/09/2020 12:44

@BatmanBaby congratulations! Welcome to the group, I've got some maternity jeans from H&M and they're so comfy and nice, would highly recommend H&M for maternity bits xx

BatmanBaby · 01/09/2020 13:10

Thanks :) I was also looking at ASOS, as they came up with a lovely maternity coat! Feel like being heavily pregnant over winter is a lot more expensive than the summer!

Has anyone felt their babies move yet?! I keep thinking I'm feeling something, but nothing so distinctive that I'm sure yet!

ilovethesmellofthesea · 01/09/2020 13:15

Hi can I join? My little boy is due 23 Feb - first child for DH and I. 15 weeks currently and I my energy levels are still in the toilet! I was hoping second trimester would be less exhausting but I'm lying down for the majority of the day (wfh) and just want to go to sleep, but then when I go to bed my sleep is interrupted by the multiple nighttime loo trips and I can't get comfy anyway - I'm a front sleeper. Does anyone have any tips for how to get better rest and/or feel more awake now that there is no coffee? I know my work is suffering but I just don't know what I can do!
