I posted something asking am I normal for crying at silly things while pregnant at 22 weeks. Turns out I am normal.

My recent things have been:
Britain's got talent
Scooby doo
Things my son says
My partner eating one of my cookies 😳
Adverts

That's just the past week.

A few people replied on my other post but just wondering what things other people have cried about while currently pregnant or a past pregnancy.

I cried because Sainsbury's emailed to say they had substituted my mango fingers for a whole mango, then again when it arrived and was an unripe rock.

StrawberryBlondeStar · 24/05/2020 14:32

My DH bought me a Cadbury’s cream egg not a Galaxy Caramel egg.

crazybutkind · 24/05/2020 14:33

I sat on a chocolate chip on my newly washed throw

lilacbeloved · 24/05/2020 14:34

I was trying to do an Australian accent and my partner kept laughing at me so naturally I burst in hysterics at the fact I couldn't do the accent and also my partner trying to hold back his laughter

Fluffballs · 24/05/2020 14:35

My dp(ex) wouldn't tell me how many exactly Yorkshire puddings he wanted, so I stopped cooking dinner altogether and had a tantrum Confused

NotMyUsualNameNoSiree · 24/05/2020 14:37

The smell of cinnamon on someone else's coffee. It reminded me of Christmas, and I love Christmas.

TeaAddict235 · 24/05/2020 14:46

I watched some re-runs of Honey Boo Boo when I was heavily pregnant. It made me so sad for her and all the poor children / children with poor outcomes in the world.

lovelyjubbly12 · 24/05/2020 14:46

I cried because my partner picked up the puppy and it was cute. (God knows what I'll be like when it's an actual baby!!)

My partner ate my last ice lolly.

I cried because I thought the dog didn't like me because she wouldn't come to me when I asked her too.

I cried once because my partner told me I looked lovely. Poor man 🤣

🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

LH1987 · 24/05/2020 14:58

Because I stubbed my toe.

Because my partner looked at his phone while I was speaking to him.

Because I caught sight of myself in the mirror with no cloths on at 36 weeks pregnant (the memory of this one would still bring tears to my eyes)

Because my husband did the shopping and bought unsalted instead of salted butter.

I think I may have gone insane.

BabloHoney · 24/05/2020 15:01

I saw a three legged dog in the park. He was perfectly fine and happy bouncing around on three legs but I burst into tears and sobbed to my friend “he’s only got three legs!!”

Positive pregnancy test a couple of days later Smile

Planet of the apes advert

NightScentedStocks · 24/05/2020 15:02

Tom Hanks losing Wilson the ball in Castaway

AliasGrape · 24/05/2020 15:11

-The Lloyds bank advert with the horses
-DH ate the last of the crunchy nut cornflakes
-I looked back on our wedding photos and decided I looked horrible. DH said I looked ‘perfectly fine’ and this made me cry more (he does realise this was stupid now and maintains he meant to say ‘beautiful’ Grin )

  • I miss work
  • I made some scones and they weren’t very nice and I asked DH if he remembered the ones I’d made last year that WERE really nice and he didn’t remember. Then he said he did but it thought he was just saying it to shut me up.

Poor DH really.

Nfblues · 24/05/2020 15:16

All the cute lockdown adverts on telly with little old ladies FaceTiming their grandkids.

DH asked me if I was going to straighten my hair whilst he was waiting for me to get ready. Promptly burst into tears because I was convinced this meant he thought my hair looked like shit

I couldn’t reach my foot to scratch it and I had a really bad itch

Thought I might have gestational diabetes and cried at the thought of not having any more toast when I’d just bought a full loaf

And finally (this one is justified I think) I’ve cried loads because we’re not able to move house as planned due to lockdown so baby doesn’t have a nursery. I had lots of plans of insta worthy nursery decor ideas and none of it is happening as we have no space. Cue lots of tears

Ouchjuststoodonlego · 24/05/2020 15:24

Last night, I went to check on dd(3) before I went to bed. She looked so beautiful and it hit me how much I love her, to the point where it hurt. I clambered into her tiny toddler bed with her and sobbed.
This morning she is back to being an absolute pain in the bum.

biscuit13 · 24/05/2020 15:42

Cried because I got to the end of the last Harry Potter and there wasnt another one. (I've watched them loads of times)
So I've started from the beginning again 😂

Pygmyseahorse · 24/05/2020 16:35

Craving nuts (dh nut allergy)

Most times I'm sick

Dh couldn't put on the washing machine

Some random advert on YouTube.. Wasn't sad at all in reality

What was meant to be the nursery now has to be an office

My legs are hairy again and I've only just shaved them. It drained my energy and I'm too tired to do it again any time soon!

Dd eating a strawberry yogurt. The smell of it

Dh came to bed late and woke me up

Reading a post which I took to heart though probably not intended that way at all and not even directed at me

I can't get hold of any doriano salted crackers. This had me in tears several times a week. HG and with dd that was most of what stayed down so it feels a bit like torture I can't get any

Also I really can't stand dh facial hair. I've never liked it but it's either making me cry or so angry!!

Littlegoth · 24/05/2020 16:50

I wanted a tuna sandwich and we had no bread. 20 minutes. We live out in the country and DP doesn’t drive - he came back from his walk the next day with an assortment of breads for me to enjoy. Cried again.

Another day I was really hungry and couldn’t swallow my lunch fast enough to get rid of the hunger. The memory of my ravenous hunger resurfaced several times that day and I cried every time.

My personal favourite - My feet were annoying me.

Dk20 · 24/05/2020 16:52

The very worst was when Michael left in the US office. I actually cried for about a week after Blush

ashtyler · 24/05/2020 17:43

They only had doughnuts with sprinkles at Sainsbury's. I wanted a glazed ring doughnut.

JKD1982 · 24/05/2020 17:44

@AliasGrape how funny I also cried at the Lloyds tsb horses advert. I was worried the little horse wouldn’t be able to keep up with the others.

Also cried rewatching the OC when Marissa dies. Even though for the last few days before I saw it I kept telling my husband I didn’t like her character and couldn’t wait for her demise

Carouselfish · 24/05/2020 17:44

Bindi Irwin's wedding. Not sorry.
Lost dog posts on facebook.
Life and Birth TV show.

BoomyBooms · 24/05/2020 17:47

I cried when I was watching that TV Dracula show and during the scene where wolves attack a person, I imagined now my dog would definitely fight back and get hurt by the wolves on TV. In some strange hypothetical scenario I made up completely in my own head!

Dyra · 24/05/2020 17:56

I wanted Coco Pops, but I couldn't because I had to go to work and I would be late. We had no Coco Pops or milk on the house anyway...

Flyball at Crufts. The dogs were so happy and excited! T_T

whatsthebestname · 24/05/2020 17:58

My DH thought he'd be helpful and hang the washing out on the line. When I saw he'd used 3 pegs for my massive maternity knickers I was inconsolable.
