I posted something asking am I normal for crying at silly things while pregnant at 22 weeks. Turns out I am normal.

My recent things have been:
Britain's got talent
Scooby doo
Things my son says
My partner eating one of my cookies 😳
Adverts

That's just the past week.

A few people replied on my other post but just wondering what things other people have cried about while currently pregnant or a past pregnancy.

My Indian take away took 2:45hrs to be delivered 😭😭😭

Wotsits4357542 · 24/05/2020 18:55

I cried because I ordered a pair of maternity jeans that came Friday and they were too baggy at the bottom so I have to send them back had a really hard cry over it 😕😂 I was so upset and sad.
Also cried because I couldn’t have a Big Mac burger last week.

LH1987 · 24/05/2020 19:32

@whatsthebestname, that is by far the best one, I needed a laugh and that has delivered :)

Apolloanddaphne · 24/05/2020 19:35

I cooked cauliflower but forgot to put the water in the pot. I sat on the back step with the burnt stinking pot and wept that I would be the worst parent as I couldn't even boil cauliflower!

Apolloanddaphne · 24/05/2020 19:36

And on my 30th birthday I wept inconsolably as I was hot, fat and I couldn't even have a drink. I more than made up for it on my 40th!

grace1991 · 24/05/2020 19:38

The ice cream van music
HmmHmm

Whiskeylover45 · 24/05/2020 19:44

I really wanted some kitkats when I was pregnant. Ate six in one sitting then cried because I had.

Also cried when at nine months pregnant I wanted a korma with Nann bread.nothing else would do. Takeout arrived and no NANN bread. Literally cried and raved for an hour about it 😳

riotlady · 24/05/2020 19:44

That McCain oven chips advert with all the different types of family

DP questioned how much garlic bread I had eaten

Snow

A really good cupcake

Building the wardrobe for DDs room and thinking about all the tiny clothes and shoes that would go in it

A video of a baby polar bear

DP made me some pasta and I cried because I didn’t like it, so then he made me fajitas and I cried because I was so grateful 😂

Rebelwithallthecause · 24/05/2020 19:47

When I couldn’t buy creme eggs after Easter
When I couldn’t get cheesecake on my supermarket delivery and couldn’t go to shops instead

riotlady · 24/05/2020 19:47

Oh I forgot the most ridiculous- I went on holiday to Spain when I was about 8 weeks pregnant and we visited the La Sagrada Familia and I was absolutely inconsolable thinking about how Gaudi would never get to see it finished 😂 I had to leave the museum-y bit because I was properly sobbing. I’m not even in to architecture!

Dreamcatcher34 · 24/05/2020 23:09

Had a little cry because Michael Gove’s face annoys me and he does a really stupid thing with his hands when he speaks. He’s just so unnecessary Sad

EmbarrassedWoman · 24/05/2020 23:16

When dp told me i had a spot on my back at 24 weeks 😂😂

He obviously lerned from that.
The next pregnancy i developed huge strech marks. When I pointed them out to him he said "did you think i was going to tell you thats after last time"Blush 😂😂😂

Mj2196 · 25/05/2020 09:44

That I didn’t seem to be glowing yet . My dp in a moment of stupidity then joked “more growing than glowing” I cried for about an hour. He seemed to of learned his lesson & now asks to take a picture of me every week because I’m glowing , cue more crying 😂

Ang3113 · 25/05/2020 09:56

Not being able to have a Chinese takeaway! Feel rather silly now

ElectricTonight · 25/05/2020 10:05

I was watching BBC earth on YouTube last night and a little gosling had to take a leap of faith, hit a good few rocks on the way down but survived at the end!

Also my two little boys and their dad was laying on the bed watching minions , I don't know if I was crying because I was outnumbered or one of those moments where you feel so lucky.

Cantbutwill · 25/05/2020 13:19

The way my DH opened the cereal packet!

zscaler · 25/05/2020 14:06

Oh my god, so many ridiculous things

  • my husband put too much marmite on my toast
  • a very small pig was playing with a ball that was too big for it
  • the Disney film I was watching had a scene where various mother animals tucked in their babies
  • I dropped an ice cube on the tiled kitchen floor
  • my cat might think I don’t love him as much when the baby is born
  • I made some brownies and they went badly wrong and I felt so guilty about wasting ingredients in a pandemic when people are struggling to get flour
Something20 · 25/05/2020 15:06

I cried when I was washing a pan and it was greasy and I couldn't get it clean

I also cried on Saturday cause the lady in Tesco wanted ID for my alcohol free cider and I didn't have any so she wouldn't let me have them

OccasionalNachos · 25/05/2020 15:09

Last summer, an advert for the women’s World Cup video game. Sobbing loudly in the cinema, I was, at all the strong sporty women & what this meant for feminism and all that. Inconsolable!

Also hearing Semisonic’s “Closing Time” on the radio, but that is at least a bit of a melancholy song...

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 25/05/2020 15:10

I remember being absolutely distraught when I went to the cinema and they hadn't turned the slushee machine on. I'd been thinking about an ice cold lemon slushee all day. I was having sour and cold cravings.

I actually stood there with tears rolling down my face while my husband gaped like a fish trying to figure out how to fix it 🤣

Goldenmother · 25/05/2020 15:13

I cried last week I wanted a fried egg sandwich I love it with a yolk and it kept breaking I tried twice to do it then had a break down so my other half cooked me one that's been my most silly thing

Harriett123 · 25/05/2020 15:15

I cried ag my partner fir a good half hour because I couldn't figure out what I wanted for dinner. He listed everything we had in the house, offered to go to the shop and buy anything but I just couldn't stop crying...... in the end I had cereal

Moongirl10 · 25/05/2020 16:56

I cried at the Red Bull advert where the turkey gets eaten at the end.

I also cried at SpaceX sending some mice up to space Blush

Conquistadora · 25/05/2020 18:04

This pregnancy hasn’t been too bad but in my last pregnancy I had a serious case of nesting! I literally painted every single wall, door, skirting board, you get the picture.

I was 38 weeks when I was doing the last room of the house, the lounge/dining room and my OH wouldn’t let me up the ladder to do the edges across the top so he did it instead.... and got a bit of duck egg blue paint on my pristine white ceiling. I cried so hard I choked on snot and have never lived it down! I pulled out a paint brush at 30 weeks this time around and he went white as a sheet, poor bugger 😂

CoffeeCakeCream · 25/05/2020 18:19

I cried because my hayfever caused me to have a blocked nose and I didn't want to breathe through my mouth... Hmm
