Tested positive but bleeding

Hi all,

So I missed my period last month... a few days ago (Thursday) I decided to get a pregnant test but that day I started to see a little blood but did the test that night and got a clear positive, bled a little that night too but decided to do one in the morning (Friday) and got a positive too but that night I woke up in the morning (Saturday) to blood stains on my pyjamas as I hadn’t been wearing a liner but seemed quite heavy and since then I have been bleeding little to a lot with blood clots and thick bloody mucus.

I tried to get an appointment with my gp on Friday but no appointments and I wasn’t bleeding much at all then, as it’ was pinkish and light but now it’s red. Will ring tomorrow and get an appointment.
I also feel like I am on my period.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or is this a clear sign it’s a miscarriage?

Are you going to use ovulation sticks? I dunno how to tackle it.

I was told yesterday every pregnancy is different. I'm probably 3 weeks. Bleeding. No clots. Just on and off bright red blood. Hoping it's a threatened miscarriage and not ectopic pregnancy

I'd say it definitely sounds like a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks almost two years ago now and I was just the same. Lots of bright red blood and clots. It still upsets me to even think about. Lots of love to you, it sucks.

I tested positive took 2 different tests from my calculations I was about 4 to 6. It is now Friday.

On last Saturday I tested again and it was still positive. On Sunday I started bleeding not a lot and the color was very dark brown. Monday it continued so I went to hospital. They tested me again and was still positive. They explained that this can be old blood from my missed period that never passed. They asked questions like do I have pain? I said no. They asked is it heavy bleeding? I said no. They asked does it smell bad? I said no. They said that it doesn’t look like a miscarriage and ordered me to bed rest. On Tuesday I was still bleeding but not heavy and not even enough to fill a panty liner. Wednesday I started to pass very small clots and stringy bloody bits. So I do what anybody would do I googled. I read that it can be normal or it could be a miscarriage. Now the blood is starting to turn red and the flow it a bit heavier. But still not enough to fill a pad or panty liner. I started having light period like pains but nothing significant. Wednesday night was filled with little sleep and some pain but nothing worse than normal period. Now yesterday witch was Thursday. I woke up normal with some light period pain. I was obviously still on bed rest but we went to my parents house for the day and dinner (I decided even before I got pregnant that I will only tell them when I am 3 months) I now was bleeding bright red blood I was still not filling a pad but it was significantly more than the days before.( I usually use a tampon but was told it is bad to use in pregnancy) So I could feel the blood come out then I would go to the bathroom to go check I also had pains but nothing more than a normal period nothing that I would describe as unbearable or high pain or maybe my tolerance is just high I don’t know. Every time I wipe I have clots a lot thicker, than the days before it kinda felt like peace’s of meat very thick consistency. The stringy bits was also longer and thicker. I went to the bathroom every half an hour to go and check. It was about 7:30 that night and I was in the kitchen with my mother and I suddenly feel something warm down there. And went to the bathroom. As I pulled my pants down my heart stopes... there it is. The embryo sack and this is my first pregnancy trust me when it comes out you will know. When you see it you will know what it is. I was confused for a week but when I saw that on my pad I was no longer confused. Also after this the pain was gone I kept my emotions at bay because we were still at my parents, and they don’t know about anything. As we drove home I told my boyfriend and he was just brushing it off and say that it is not a miscarriage it can’t be everything wil be fine. Obviously this infuriated me. my emotions were all over the place. He did not see what I did. I have a picture but I still even have not showed hom and it is 09:54 am Friday morning. So maybe when we go to hospital it will sink in. But back to last night, so we went with our usual schedule watched some tv showered and went to bed. But as soon as we were laying down and he touched me it was like instant water works. I am not a crier I never cry not even at funerals. But this was a different cry this was a I had a surge of emotions running through me. Just as I stop snd compose myself it starts again. That continued through the night with some nightmares very vivid I must add. I am still bleeding but it also has slowed down. But I am going to shower and go to hospital. Will continue with this typing after I return. Okay so went to hospital didn’t test but it’s a confirmed miscarriage just off the photo I showed. Today is Saturday I am bleeding a lot and there is clots and cramping but I’m taking medication for the pain. The blood is bright red and heavy but still not filling a pad. All symptoms I had is gone my boobs aren’t even sensitive anymore.

As to trying again we also decided to try again. But I first want to go for a scan after the bleeding has stopped to see everything is fine and out. I also read that you must wait for at least one period to pass. I don’t know I will have to ask the doctor for that one.

@2020wish Having similar experience but not clots. Unless it's small. My scan on Tuesday at 11:30am too!! I'm in Miami, FL. You'll have your results first. Keep us posted. I'll say a prayer for all of you.

This is my first pregnancy I must say I have learned alot but I hope for the best for all. Just don’t get to depressed or lose hope if you are planning on trying again. I am definitely.

@2020wish i wont be using ovulation tests no just gonna go with the flow and if it happens it happens if it dosnt it dosnt iv have 7 kids already didnt want anymore then found out i was pregnant and lost it i really want to try for one i may wait gor a while tho as my youngest is only 9 month old my last 3 are all close together my oldest daughter is nearly 20 then i have a daughter nearly 18 a daughter 11 and 4 sons who are 6 3 1 and 9 month so i have my hands full

@Rozanne101 thank you for the story tbh urs sounds like the route I’m going down. Just been to the loo and thicker meatier clots have appeared. No bleeding enough to fill a pad now am I overly cramping or in pain so I’ll guess I’ve have to wait until the sack comes :( I should be 6/7 weeks x

@40FirstTime lol i wish i was a millionaire im 37 i am my 3 year old was only 8 month wen i got pregnant with my now 1 year old and he was only 8 week wen i got caught with my now 9 month old he was caught on our wedding night i think 🤭 i would have loads of babies if i could lol i did plan to not have no more but after this miscarriage i feel like im ment to have another so hopefully another i shall have i have 7 so cant stop on an odd number i have 3 girls 4 boys i want anova girl even it out 🤪

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with the Oncall OB, it's Saturday. Monday is my next Beta HCG, and Tuesday is my transvaginal ultrasound at 11 AM.

I really don't know much about periods. I don't know a damn thing about pregnancy.
It's not a pad. It's just my 3rd day of bleeding and thickest today. No clots.

The bleeding is apparently the normal type. "Old blood coming out. Your body is adjusting." She said. Sometimes people have this their entire pregnancy.

Given my age, I'm freaked out about an MC. I've never been pregnant and now that I'm committed to this surprise baby. I don't want to lose it.

I have a differential diagnosis of 3 things.
I got pregnant January 19th.
Then terminated it March 6th.
No period, conceived approximately April 9th.
Bleeding started the day I took my test this past Thursday March 23rd.

I terminated it because the guy I was dating and I slept with one time, threatened to hurt me if I kept it. I think getting pregnant again this fast is a sign I'm suppose to have this. 🥰

@2020wish Also do remember everyone is different but. If you are and I’m praying that you are not. Do not get depressed and loose hope. I know more than ever now that I want a baby.

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me posting here, I’m 5 weeks pregnant, last week I did 3 pregnancy test each day after my period due date. There were all positives. I turned 5 weeks today and I have started bleeding, no cramping, the odd achey feeling. The blood is there when I wipe and is dark Brown/dark red. I did a pregnancy test after the bleeding started and it was a very faint line, fainter than the 3 I did initially. Has anyone experienced this? I will be making an appt with my GP tomorrow. I’m just resting up for today. Good luck to you all x

Good morning guys hope all is well. I’m just wondering... I am still bleeding and today another big clot. Not as big as the mc but looks like part of it. Does anyone know if this is okay or should I go to hospital again?

Ive honestly no idea on what to advise considering my hospital, epu and gp weren’t interested in seeing me at all unless I was haemorrhaging x

After that looks like it is stopping wtf sorry for the language but why won’t they see you??? We have very strict travel restrictions but my dokter said he will give me a traveling permit to go to the closest town where I can go do an ultrasound... when I’m done bleeding.

Okay so just went to the bathroom and had some bleeding when I wiped but nothing on pad I just want it to stop coz it’s been 9 days now. But I must say I am over the depression I have accepted it.

I’ve just came back from my private scan and the baby is gone :( I bleed for 5 days not even enough to fill a pad :( my heart is broke

Guys I don’t know Any more!!! I’m basically stopped bleeding I just took a test and it is a very clear positive? I didn’t even have to wait. It just went positive. Is this possible?
