So my waters broke this morning! Getting slight niggles now so I'm praying they start into the real thing very soon as otherwise I'll be induced tomorrow. 37+6 today!

Millettmum · 17/06/2020 16:16

@MRSRCH fingers crossed due date buddy! Did you have any niggles before your waters broke?

@Millettmum I had quite strong stabbing pains from what felt like my cervix last night and lots of pressure. Then was awake in the night feeling sick and then had loose bowels in the night and again this morning. I had a little 'girly time' to myself this morning and had one massive contraction and then about 2 hours later waters started leaking and hasn't stopped since. It still feels like I'm only having braxton hicks as I've had them so strong in this pregnancy so I'm hoping I will get something different soon

Millettmum · 17/06/2020 18:28

@MRSRCH hoping I go the same then but all seems to have stopped

Thinking of you @Rosebel I git very nervous before my section too, started to wonder if I had made the right choice having a baby and then after I had him in my arms I've never been more sure that it was all meant to be I love him to bits.

I'm thinking you must have your baby in your arms by now? Hope everything went well xxxxx

Rosebel · 17/06/2020 21:48

Baby Joseph arrived safe and well this afternoon. Just holding him in my arms now makes all the worry and uncertainty worthwhile.

Millettmum · 17/06/2020 22:10

@Rosebel congratulations xx

Congratulations @Rosebel how wonderful.
My contractions are getting slightly closer together now. Had 3 in the last 45 minutes but slightly worried as they still don't feel that strong, I know I'm waiting for them to get stronger so will kick myself really soon haha

Millettmum · 18/06/2020 00:57

Anyone have pains up their bum as well? More loose movements tonight.

Hey ladies!!
Due date is today but showing no signs yet 😩 I had my first stretch and sweep which was horrendous !! I've had cramping and bleeding since 9 this morning. Anyone had any positive experiences with one???

I've been booked in for another on Monday if he doesn't make an appearance before then but I'm dreading it!

Millettmum · 18/06/2020 21:18

@Sophie1326
Hello! Not had a sweep before but booked in on Saturday.

Hello everyone. After a very long traumatic entrance to this crazy world and being 2 weeks early I had my little girl at 12:23 this morning

Millettmum · 19/06/2020 18:50

@MRSRCH
That's fantastic, congratulations! I guess they did ramp up.

Goodgoodthings · 19/06/2020 19:15

@MRSRCH congratulations! I hope that you are both doing okay? It’s so exciting to see babies cropping up on this thread now we all get closer to our DDs.

I’ve been in hospital today for reduced movements (I’m 38+4) as I’d not felt her overnight. Monitoring went well but I’ve got to go back tomorrow for a scan as they weren’t 100% happy with her growth chart so hoping that turns out okay. This evening I have thrown up 3 times out of the blue, not sure what that’s about but when they monitored me they did say I was having mild contractions (I didn’t feel like they were anything significant?) so possibly related?

Hope everyone’s doing okay and feeling good. Happy Friday 😊

Millettmum · 19/06/2020 19:34

@Goodgoodthings
Fingers crossed everything is ok and baby comes soon by the sounds of the mild contractions.

I went for a sweep today at midwife appointment, but baby is too high that she couldn't do it. Gutted as I wasn't wanting to be induced. See the consultant on Tuesday to discuss next plan.

38+2

MRSRCH · 20/06/2020 16:00

@Millettmum I had to be induced as everything stopped

Millettmum · 20/06/2020 16:56

@MRSRCH
They want to induce me because of the gestational diabetes but I wasn't wanting that. Nothing has really started for me yet.

Has anyone had low down painful cramps mainly to one side?

OP posts:
Bikbikmum · 20/06/2020 21:29

@Millettmum I was just about to ask!

Hi everyone, I have massive cramps, like period pain in my ovaries, down, on each side. This is my first baby so I dont know what should I expect for a contraction.. they last 5-10 mins it is not short intervals...

Can they be contractions? Or is it something else? Everywhere mentions contractions usually last 60-90 seconds not 10-15 minutes.. I am confused. Is this a sign that labour would start?

Millettmum · 20/06/2020 22:01

@Bikbikmum
Mine didn't last that long and have stopped so who knows.

OP posts:
Bikbikmum · 20/06/2020 22:05

@Millettmum mine stopped too! 🙈

Millettmum · 20/06/2020 22:13

@Bikbikmum
Just as we were getting our hopes up ha.
