Hi ladies, this thread seems to have moved quickly over the last few days! Will try my best to catch up!
@MrsEG I don't think the sweep did much, cervix wasn't really forward enough, but I think things may have progressed by themselves since then.
I also happen to think your bump is amazing, and you're doing a wonderful job-carrying one baby has been hard enough for me, I'm in awe of you carrying two!
Re the positive birthing company packs-there's lots I can't do because of being high risk with my heart, but I still found the pack really useful, and have already utilised lots of the relaxation techniques and techniques for making decisions about labour etc. Plus, it's made my partner a lot more confident about what he can do so he doesn't feel like a spare part or panic!
Hormones have a lot to answer for-the other morning I cried because I saw a robin in the garden - we have robins visit us everyday, but for some reason that time made me cry!
@LokiCat that looks like a lovely bump to me!
@ELW85 thanks for asking, physically getting more uncomfortable by the day, emotionally a mixture of excited knowing it's not long now, nervous, and feeling like I've got lots of jobs I want to do before the induction (none of which really need doing in reality!). Your bump is looking fabulous by the way!
@BabySquid I can't believe the hospital didn't contact you about the GD! I'm sure the midwife will make sure you get all the care and advice you need though.
@MrsH497 hope you had a lovely wedding anniversary.
@Larrydavid keep getting lots of rest, I remember the first trimester making me feel miserable, but it does pass x
@Fivebyfive2 I'm impressed you finished the Christmas shopping! I've managed about 80% of it-DP has been given the task of finishing it after baby arrives (what's left is almost entirely the men in his family, so I'm hoping it shouldn't be too much of a challenge!). The stickers and canvases look lovely! Hope your scan goes well today too.
@purplefig your bump is fabulous!
@cupcakesandglitter lovely bump too!
Lots has happened since my last post on Wednesday- Saturday morning was spent at the hospital on a monitor as I'd been worried baby had moved less-he was fine, but they offered to bring my induction forward if I was worried. I decided that since baby was fine, and my cervix wasn't really favourable on Wednesday we'd leave it a while longer until my planned induction date (hospital were great, said if I was worried and changed my mind to go back in). Was having a few contractions whilst on the monitor too. Lots of twinges and pains on Saturday night, then I started to lose my mucous plug. Ladies, when it happens be prepared to be a mixture of grossed out, amazed and excited! It's been coming out since, and I've got to the point where I'm wondering how much more there can be! 😂 Still getting twinges, so hopefully I'll either go into labour spontaneously before induction, or this will all be helping my cervix and induction will be easier?
