Getting a new one started before we are full! I’ll go back now and add people - answering everyone’s last posts here!!

@MrsR16 Nesting sounds like a good idea! Our house is such a mess at the moment mid-decorating and I cant wait for it all to be done so I can tidy!!

@BabySquid Fabulous bump! Glad you had such a brilliant time. I’m starting to think that pain sleeping is all just part and parcel of being pregnant now! At my yoga class everyone complains of it!

@Tropicana1 I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about!

@purplefig Yeah it was amazing to hear! Apparently IVF twins are more likely to be small but she never explained why. But yeah, induction is less likely for growth - it could still be needed for other reasons but it’s nice to have one of them off the list! How are you feeling, sleeping any better?

@ELW85 I did sleep a little bit better! I still woke up about 4:30 but slept all the way from 10 til then which is amazing! I feel like I’m slowly getting used to just being tired now! Glad you managed a better sleep!

@PippaPug Glad you got the radiator sorted! Yeah I’m amazed at how care changes from place to place but I think the main thing is as long as someone is seeing us at least once a month then that’s great!! How have you been feeling? I’m 24+4 today and really starting to feel uncomfortable now. My bump measured approx 32 weeks yesterday!! 32!!! She thinks they must be lying all at the front.

@cupcakesandglitter From doing some googling I think at the 28 week appt they’ll more start telling me what I can and can’t do in the birth - like start laying out all of my options? So I’m not gonna worry too much and wait to see what they say! My only ‘preference’ is everyone arrives happy and healthy and all are safe and well! I love the bong haha - how are you feeling today?

@Fivebyfive2 lol funny you should mention grooming... I also like to keep my bush more of a shrub but also can't see! Going to get DH to get the lady trimmer out tonight, he also keeps 'tidy' so he's used to being delicate so I know he'll be ok with it and I don't have to worry!!

MrsEG · 29/11/2019 18:47

@Larrydavid Oh how fab about your test results! Enjoy the 12-week scan. Oh my god that sounds like the train journey from hell!! Peeing on the floor?!

@purplefig Pillow looks fabulous! If it’s doing the trick it’s worth it! We’re going to see Knives Out tomorrow, have heard really good things so braving the cinema chairs - will also be taking my own cushion haha! Enjoy the weekend, sounds fab!

@Fivebyfive2 Oh gosh hope SIL is okay! Not TMI at all and I’ve not been able to see down there in weeks - I have found it’s easier in a bath to at least have a go and do a minimal tidy up but I can’t see a thing to see if I’m doing it right! A friend told me you can go for waxes still whilst preggo though up to a certain stage so I’m very tempted to treat myself!

@BabySquid, that's good that your dh can be trusted with such tasks... Mine is a bit clumsy when he shaves so I don't think I'll be asking 😂😳

@MrsEG, we saw knives out last night, it's really good!! Hmmm... I've actually never had a wax (too scared!) but maybe I should take the plunge?!

@Larrydavid, good lord, that train journey sounds like some mad dystopian film, hope you are OK?! Xx

MrsR16 · 29/11/2019 19:47

@MrsEG is there such a thing as overorganised for babies? 😂 I feel you with the bad sleep at the moment - I've really not been feeling great today! I think bad sleep coupled with generally not being able to get comfy whether I'm up and about or in bed probably doesn't help!

@BabySquid I hope you enjoyed your lay in this morning! And of course cuddles with the newborn!

@Tropicana1 have the best time at Center Parcs!! I grew up not too far away from the Elveden one and went there a few times (although pretty much just for the swimming pool!) - it's lovely!

@LokiCat I hope you enjoy the theatre! And ooh, those could definitely be movements you're feeling...

@Larrydavid I'm so happy to see you're doing ok and you got to see your baby! How exciting!

@purplefig enjoy your weekend! Sounds amazing 😊

@Fivebyfive2 oh goodness your poor SIL! That does not sound much fun at all... and you know there's no such thing as TMI on these threads! 😂 I haven't been able to see down there for weeks so just have a best guess! I just make sure I take my time - I've nicked myself a few times but that's purely because I was rushing 😂

MrsH497 · 29/11/2019 20:07

Oh ladies I need a rant I'm so fed up of HG I've had heartburn tonight (I think) but I now can't work out when I feel sick or it's heartburn. I think I'm struggling a bit with being back at work but HR and work have already basically admitted in their eyes it's just morning sickness (HR don't understand why I'm on reduced hours for "just" morning sickness) I just want to feel better and enjoy this. Sorry ladies. X

MrsEG · 29/11/2019 20:55

@Fivebyfive2 Oh fab, the trailer looks so good! I’m such a big Chris Evans fan too! Yeah, waxing is...a little intense haha but the good thing with a bikini wax is it’s over super fast! A few deep breaths and it’s over and done with before you know it!

@MrsR16 It’s crap isn’t it?! I wake up all the time and every time I do, something hurts! My weekends always consist of naps now to try and catch up!!

@MrsH497 Oh bless you your HR dept sound pants! Just ignore it and remember to focus on you; just do what you can. You’ll be off on mat leave before you know it!

Morning all

I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA. I don’t want to bore you with it but I’ve basically been working 7.30-22.30 this week and I’m exhausted.
And for some reason my phone hasn’t let me on WiFi or 4G all week - it’s the first crap iPhone I’ve had.

Thank you for checking in @MrsEG - I’ve been trying to catch up this morning with the thread but not done too well; I hope you’re ok?

@LikeTheFruit - so pleased you had a lovely time in NYC. I need to go and pick up my compression socks for the flight. So glamorous! Lovely bump you have there!

@MrsR16 - can’t believe you’re full term already! How are you feeling?

@BostonFern - apologies if I’ve already said it, but congratulations! I honestly don’t know what I have missed/already commented on but I’m sure it’s a million times harder for you!

I Hope you’ve all had wonderful weeks, and even better weekends ahead!
I’m in bed hoping to not move for a couple of hours yet - I’m exhausted! Xx

Fivebyfive2 · 30/11/2019 18:37

Hi all! Had my baby shower today, it was so lovely!! Just a few friends, my mum and aunt plus the office crew 🙂 There was lots of cake and many gifts, feeling very lucky!!

How's everyone getting on this weekend? Xx

MrsR16 · 30/11/2019 20:52

@MrsH497 oh hun your HR dept sound worse than mine!! Don't apologise for having a rant - if you can't rant at people who completely understand, who can you rant at?!?

@MrsEG I've literally napped every day this week! Aside from today, but I was wide awake at 0615 until about 0745 and then DH woke me up at about 1120! Madness hey?

@ELW85 I'm doing ok, bloody tired this week, but I think that's to do with now I've stopped work, my body's gone "ooh, I'm going to make you exhausted now so you have to rest before baby arrives!" 😂 you must be really tired! Long old days...

@Fivebyfive2 I'm so glad you had a good time at your baby shower! Cake and gifts are always good 😊😊 I am chilling on the sofa at the moment while DH is sorting out pipes so we can move the washing machine in order to have a dishwasher installed! I've never had a dishwasher before lol 😂

MrsH497 · 30/11/2019 21:04

@MrsR16 @MrsEG thank you lovelies. Feel a bit brighter today got my medication of repeat prescription and a huge box of rennies! Got my 16 week midwife appointment on Thursday and we got our car seat in the Black Friday sale.

@MrsR16 how long until due date?

MrsR16 · 30/11/2019 21:11

@MrsH497 great to hear! I'm glad you're doing ok now 😊 I've got 2 and a half weeks! However, whether baby decides to make an appearance by then or not, who knows?!?

MrsH497 · 30/11/2019 21:18

@MrsR16 eek so exciting!! Bet you can't wait to meet little one x

MrsR16 · 30/11/2019 21:49

@MrsH497 genuinely never been so excited for anything in my whole life! I'm just so ready to meet this little one who's taken over my entire life/body for the last 9 months! I know DH is impatient to meet baby too... 😂

Lemonysherbet · 01/12/2019 08:47

Morning and happy December 1st!

Playing catch up again, I usually read the
Thread on my commute but don't have time to reply, grateful for Sunday's!

How is everyone doing?

@MrsH497 how are you feeling,? I really sympathise, I've got standard vomiting and nausea and I'm finding it hard so I can't imagine what you're going through. At 14 weeks I was hoping it would be gone but sadly not quite yet!

@MrsR16 how exciting you're 2 weeks away, does it feel like it's taken forever to get there?

@Fivebyfive2 thanks for asking the lady gardening question, I don't have a bump yet but was wondering how people managed when they could no longer see their feet 😉

@bostonfern @thumper59 how are you ladies both getting on?

@larrydavid nice to hear from you, I was the same pre my 12 week scan with keeping pretty quiet on here. I did find it reassuring just before the scan to talk to everyone though as everyone seems to feel anxious at that time so it's nice to know you're not alone. What date is your scan?

Were putting the tree up today, we.ordered a new one, stupidly got a 7ft one so it could look interestingly cramped, probably should have measured first.

Hope everyone is ok and has a nice chilled Sunday

MrsR16 · 01/12/2019 10:07

@Lemonysherbet morning lovely! In some ways, yes it has taken forever, but in others it really hasn't and has absolutely flown by! 😂 doesn't seem like two mins ago I was sharing my pee stick picture with you all!

Lemonysherbet · 01/12/2019 10:47

@MrsR16 funnily enough I ended up reading the conception board this morning and it brought back memories! It's so nice having you guys here to talk through everything with 🥰

MrsEG · 01/12/2019 11:00

Morning all! My god it’s been cold in Manchester this weekend!! Fire is on, blankets are out! Our husky thinks it’s amazing of course!!

@ELW85 oh my god surely those hours aren’t legal?! I hope you’ve had plenty of rest this weekend.

@Fivebyfive2 cake and gifts sounds wonderful! Glad you had such a lovely day :)

@MrsR16 A nap til 11?! Wonderful! Enjoy these long naps now while you can!! Just a few weeks now - and it is officially due date month for you!

@MrsH497 Glad you’re feeling a bit better with your rennies! Chewable Gaviscon is amazing too!

@lemonysherbert Enjoy putting up the tree! Ha my sister had the opposite problem - she thought she’d ordered a 6ft and a 4ft was delivered haha, it’s tiny!!!

I have so so many appointments this week! 28 week bloods tomorrow, growth scan and consultant appt on weds and seeing the endocrinologist on Thursday!! The joys of a high risk pregnancy eh?! Heading off for a float swim tonight and seeing some friends soon (she has two boys under 2 so getting advice!). Just 2.5 weeks of work left now!

ELW85 · 01/12/2019 11:19

Morning all!

@Fivebyfive2 - pleased you had a lovely baby shower! Cake sounds amazing right now.

@MrsR16 - it’ll be your body coming down from the adrenaline it takes you to get to work when you’re pregnant and exhausted! Not long now though, and what a lovely time of year to be at that stage 😊
I’m yawning as we speak. I realised that I haven’t had any time off since our honeymoon (March) so NYC can’t come quick enough!

@MrsEG - I’m so tired! Another crazy week but it should all be done after that. And then the week after is NYC! Ah the husky will be all over these temperatures 😊
Sounds like you do have a lot on this week but at least you get to see the little ones again. I actually laughed out loud at you going for a float!

@Lemonysherbet - pleased you’re doing well! We’re doing our tree today; cannot wait!

Right ladies. I’m off to browse nursery carpets. DH is at work again, but hopefully not as long as he was yesterday.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Fivebyfive2 · 01/12/2019 11:22

@MrsEG, I think we finish work about the same time! Enjoy your floating, I've got mine tomorrow evening 🙂 Good luck with all your appointments xx

We put up the nursery curtains this morning, went through all the baby stuff and organised it by size etc 🙂 Packed most of the hospital bag too!

Probably a stupid question ladies... Are we meant to wash Everything?? Or just stuff we've had handed down /from charity shops? Regarding brand new stuff, I'm hearing mixed advice?? I'm thinking of washing Everything for when he's newborn and then leaving the 'older' clothes until later, as I'll probably wash it nearer the time he'll be wearing them anyway?

Happy December 1st 🙂🎄 We're at my parents later for a family get together, so tree is going up next weekend... We have opened the windows on our advent calendars though 😋

Fivebyfive2 · 01/12/2019 11:26

@ELW85, happy carpet shopping!! I'm a little jealous of your Christmas NYC trip, my bro and sil fly out next Sunday as well! On the subject of cake... I boxed some up yesterday as there was loads... May have eaten it for breakfast!! Xx

MrsEG · 01/12/2019 11:36

@ELW85 Ha I definitely don’t swim anymore!! I just bob about! Oh wow enjoy NYC that will be amazing - have you much planned once you’re over there?

@Fivebyfive2 I finish on Dec 18! It’s coming around so fast now isn’t it?! Yeah you’re supposed to wash everything even new clothes, something to do with all clothing being finished with certain chemicals so it’s best to get them through a wash first. I’ve been doing that this week - sooo so many loads haha, prep for when they’re here I guess! I didn’t get an advent calendar - can’t believe I forgot!!

OP posts:
Fivebyfive2 · 01/12/2019 11:41

@MrsEG, aaahh OK thanks for the tip! I'll wash all the newborn /0-3 this week so it'll all be done and then start on the older stuff later... I just know if I wash it all now and put it away, I'll end up re washing the stuff that's been in a draw for 4 plus months anyway!

I'm a bit worried if he's still transverse at my scan on 16th they will keep me in hospital until he moves or I'm near enough to my date for them to do a c section, so might only have a couple of weeks left at home!!

MrsEG · 01/12/2019 11:44

@Fivebyfive2 would they keep you in if he’s transverse? I don’t know much about it all to be honest! It’s one of those things with pregnancy isn’t it - you’ve just gotta roll with the punches - it’s almost impossible to plan for anything!!
Yeah I think the washing thing is mostly when they’re little - my sister doesn’t wash anything new now for her 18 month old. But up to 1 she would do :)

Also forgot to add my 28-week bump - definitely two in there!! Measured it around last night and it’s 44 inches (!!)

Fivebyfive2 · 01/12/2019 11:55

@MrsEG, your bump is gorgeous! Mine is all lopsided 😂

Apparently if he's still sideways at 37 weeks (I'll be 36 and 4 at my scan on 16th) they could say I need to stay in hospital, incase the cord 'comes out' or if my waters go and he can't get out. I'll either be in until they say it is late enough to do a c section or he if he moves in the meantime, they'll send me home but I'd have regular checks in case he moves back! Very up in the air really 🙄 I know it sounds stupid, but he's been in this position for so long now... At each scan I've gradually come more to terms with needing a c section. I know if could very probably move at any time, but I'm not sure how I'd be if he suddenly moved at the last min and I had to get my head around labour again?! Probably being silly though xxx

MrsEG · 01/12/2019 13:13

@Fivebyfive2 oh wow! When would they give a c-section in that scenario, do you know? I can have one at 37 weeks so hopefully they wouldn’t leave you in hospital too long? I’ve done so much reading on elective c-sections and they sound really lovely I think, all controlled and you’re very prepared for it etc. Let’s see what little Homer does in the next 2 weeks!!
