Getting a new one started before we are full! I’ll go back now and add people - answering everyone’s last posts here!!

@MrsR16 Nesting sounds like a good idea! Our house is such a mess at the moment mid-decorating and I cant wait for it all to be done so I can tidy!!

@BabySquid Fabulous bump! Glad you had such a brilliant time. I’m starting to think that pain sleeping is all just part and parcel of being pregnant now! At my yoga class everyone complains of it!

@Tropicana1 I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about!

@purplefig Yeah it was amazing to hear! Apparently IVF twins are more likely to be small but she never explained why. But yeah, induction is less likely for growth - it could still be needed for other reasons but it’s nice to have one of them off the list! How are you feeling, sleeping any better?

@ELW85 I did sleep a little bit better! I still woke up about 4:30 but slept all the way from 10 til then which is amazing! I feel like I’m slowly getting used to just being tired now! Glad you managed a better sleep!

@PippaPug Glad you got the radiator sorted! Yeah I’m amazed at how care changes from place to place but I think the main thing is as long as someone is seeing us at least once a month then that’s great!! How have you been feeling? I’m 24+4 today and really starting to feel uncomfortable now. My bump measured approx 32 weeks yesterday!! 32!!! She thinks they must be lying all at the front.

@cupcakesandglitter From doing some googling I think at the 28 week appt they’ll more start telling me what I can and can’t do in the birth - like start laying out all of my options? So I’m not gonna worry too much and wait to see what they say! My only ‘preference’ is everyone arrives happy and healthy and all are safe and well! I love the bong haha - how are you feeling today?

@PippaPug that Wayfair order sounds like a nightmare and it's put me off for life just hearing about it! The finger pricks aren't too bad. I keep swapping fingers as I was getting bruised in one spot. Also, can't help with the notes question as mine are all electronic.
@LikeTheFruit lovely little bump 🥰
So I slipped in the shower yesterday and jarred my already very achy back! So was off work yesterday but dragged myself in today, regretting it now tho as I'm in bed already with the deep heat!

MrsH497 · 27/11/2019 20:46

Aw @LikeTheFruit what a beautiful bump! Well today was much better managed work ate dinner and I've done Pilates. Shattered though so nice warm shower and bed for me I think. Decided I'll wake up early to have medication then doze for an hour to let it kick in see if that helps and ask for a wfh day Friday. Maybe over did it Monday!

How is everyone? @MrsEG how's the pain?

Anyone having a baby shower?

Tropicana1 · 28/11/2019 08:26

@purplefig it's definitely much easier than chalk painting! Here's a pic of the paint I used

@MrsEG I wish!! We've still got the nursery to do! My friend who's been here for 2 months now is moving out next week (!) so then we can get started on the nursery thank god.

@PippaPug re maternity notes I think I remembered to keep mine with me in the car from around 28-30 weeks 🙈 but not sure what I would have done if I wasn't driving as like You say they are SO bulky

@LikeTheFruit Bump is looking lovely! Nice to hear from you!

@MrsH497 my friends threw me a small one but I said I didn't want a "shower" with games etc so it was basically a nice lunch out where they gave me presents haha

Got my midwife appointment today! Fingers crossed she's happy with my bump progress, I definitely feel like it's growing but will be nice to hopefully see the tape measure start matching up with that. If not, thinking positively it just means I get more opportunities to see the baby with growth scans!

purplefig · 28/11/2019 09:11

@BabySquid ouch! I hope your back feels better today. Do you find deep heat useful?

@MrsH497 glad yesterday was a better day for you. How did your waking up early plan go? I'm not having a baby shower. My family and friends live all over the country, so it wouldn't really be feasible to get everyone together.

@Tropicana1 thanks for the pic - I'm going to save that for next time I spy an unloved hidden gem in a charity shop!! All the best for your midwife appointment - which week one is it?

Happy Thursday! Cor this week is flying by isn't it!? The Christmas Markets were lovely and I actually felt the spark of something festive brewing...increasingly excited for Sunday AKA Dec 1st AKA Tree Decoration Day. Have a good one all! x

BabySquid · 28/11/2019 09:29

@purplefig yeah the deep heat worked wonders for me yesterday and last night.
@MrsH497 I'm in the process of planning my baby shower. My bestie lives in Cambridge while I live in Bradford so getting together to plan is difficult, so I'm roping my mum in but telling her to run things by me as she's a bit too girly for me and would get carried away!! I'm planning it for 11th Jan and I'm due 10th Feb... bit late but it's the only time I thought would be best after xmas.

PippaPug · 28/11/2019 09:38

@MrsEG - Honestly you’re not the only one to feel like this at all, because I’m feeling like it as well! Last night I just felt really rubbish, I went to see a friend and the local train station has two flights of stairs to walk up and by the end of the day I’m shattered, I’m slower walking then I normally am, I struggle to bend and lift (which my job is very physical even on 3 days a week) I am struggling to get on my hands and knees as my back aches to clean the floor many times, I struggle to get down onto and then off the floor to play with the little one, I won’t go anywhere where I have to lift the buggy up a flight of stairs whereas I wouldn’t of batted a eyelid 6 months ago and just feel a bit down about it all that I don’t feel as good as a Nanny as I was 2/3 months ago - I know it will be worth it, but feeling like my pregnancy is having a knock on effect on my job and how I do it now is making me feel a bit down. I have wanted to be a mother for so long, but I wanted to wait till I met the right person and get married - but I know I haven’t waited as long as some of you all and we have been very lucky.
Re Napisan - I’m not 100% I would double check as although I have been a nanny for 13 years I haven’t used re useable nappies before 🙈 but I think you can!

@MrsR16 - wow I didn’t realise mat notes could be online as at our local hospital we all carry them around (in a huge folder to announce your pregnant even if you aren’t ready to disclose that!) how are you? I’m hoping to hear back from the manager today as I asked yesterday for money off again but I sent it quite late, wondering if I will now hear anything!

@LikeTheFruit - I’m a day behind you! What a beautiful bump 😍 uniform looks good too!

@PurpleFig - I had a chat with the mum last week and I’m not 100% she got that I may need to stop by Christmas, I said I will work till Christmas but right now I can’t see past that as it’s a month away and don’t know what will happen and she said we would love to see you in Jan for a few days a week 😬 how are you doing, any ideas on mat leave for you? How is your back today? Hopefully better now. Tbh I don’t take my notes anywhere but I think I should start considering I’m in London this week for 3 days!

@BabySquid - honestly would never ever shop with them again, it’s been horrendous and what tipped me over the edge was when we were told they sent us the right unit even though we had sent them photo evidence that didn’t match up with the website! Glad your fingers aren’t too bruised, how’s your back?

@Tropicana1 - the notes are crazily huge! My mum couldn’t believe the size of them they used to be a A5 notebook she said compared to what we have now! I think when in London I will have them at my work home but when at home will leave them there, if I need them then I have family who could grab them for me who live locally.
Hope your midwife appt goes well, let us know!

MrsR16 · 28/11/2019 10:06

@LikeTheFruit that's an adorably cute little bump!

@MrsH497 I had a similar shower to @Tropicana1 - basically had afternoon tea and got loads of pressies!

@Tropicana1 good luck for your midwife appt today!

@purplefig oh I'm glad you had a good time last night! 😊 festive hot chocolates are always good!

@PippaPug it's still a bit strange having everything online! But my community midwife and the hospital have access to my notes which is helpful. The one bit of paper that I take to all appts is my growth chart! I'm doing ok, bloody knackered today though! I'm off out in a little bit though - possibility of a new job on the horizon so need to have a conversation about that! 😊

MrsH497 · 28/11/2019 10:09

@purplefig ok! I woke up at 6 took tablets went back to sleep till 7:15 slowly got up and was ok! Going to have to get some more meds though as I'm running low.

Hope everyone has a good day x

MrsEG · 28/11/2019 12:56

@MrsR16 I'm so glad it isnt just me panicking haha! A few bits for my hospital bag arrived today from Amazon and I washed all the tiny baby/newborn clothes yesterday so I feel slightly more accomplished now!

@LikeTheFruit Gosh you've been working some serious hours!! Glad you had a lovely holiday :)

@purplefig Ha so glad it isnt just me having a meltdown!! Yeah I have my sister on hand totally, and at least I've changed my nieces nappies a few times... it just hit me like a tonne of bricks that I'll have to just somehow know how to do everything?! I am also pinning a lot of hope on to NCT now ha! When do yours start? Ours begin on Tuesday. I didn't make it to yoga; I was just to exhausted!! Glad you enjoyed the markets :)

@MrsH497 The pain is pretty much the same each day now! Just having to get used to it really and keep doing my exercises. My sister is throwing me a baby shower, it's actually next week! I wasn't sure I wanted one but she was adamant so I said okay. I've no idea whats in store other than that she has somehow managed to invite 28 (!) people to it! How are you feeling today?

@Tropicana1 I bet you're so glad your friend is finally moving on!! Hope all goes well with the midwife today. Like you say, worst case is you'll get some growth scans! It's one of the lovely extras with twins I think!!

@PippaPug I completely know what you mean; I dont even have an active job! It's just so immobilising at times, especially with these twin bumps that just expand like crazy haha. I feel like a different person some days, I used to do so much running and hiking and now I sit on my bum eating chocolate watching I'm A Celeb. I have to remind myself it's just temporary!! Next year we'll be out walking miles with our double buggies!!

Hope everyone is doing fab! I had physio again today and she was really happy that it hadnt worsened too much which is amazing. She gave me a new support belt to use for the office too, which is very tight (it's like Spanx for your bump!!) but is definitely taking the pressure off. Aquanatal is back on tonight too, so think I'll go along to that - will just check when I get home I can still get my cossie on!! Bump is growing like the clappers - will be 28 weeks this weekend so will have to post a third-tri bump snap! Does anyone have much planned for the weekend, other than the inevitable Xmas decs going up??

OP posts:
LikeTheFruit · 28/11/2019 13:01

Thanks @BabySquid @MrsH497 @Tropicana1 @PippaPug @MrsR16 @purplefig !! Bump has defo "popped" a bit more since that pic. Also belly button now an outie 😂😂

@BabySquid hope your back is a bit better today! Poor you!

@MrsH497 hope your nausea continues to improve. I'm not going to have a baby shower - I hate events where I'm the main event😂😂 part of the reason me and DH eloped

@Tropicana1 glad you're finally getting house to yourselves!!

@purplefig glad you enjoyed Xmas markets. Hope you got your hot choc!

@PippaPug I'm starting the feel physical aspect of work getting a bit more difficult too. I'm on my feet all day mostly and feeling pretty tired at 5pm! Fortunately I've no nights. Make sure you advocate for yourself and don't feel guilted into doing more than you feel you can!

@MrsR16 are your notes all Badgernet? Are you in Scotland too?

Enjoying only being in for 2 days in a row and off this weekend🎉🎉. Really need to make a start in Xmas shopping/ baby shopping soon.

LikeTheFruit · 28/11/2019 13:05

@MrsEG cross post! I have absolutely no idea what to do with a baby either, hoping antenatal classes will help!! I know, that's the longest stretch I should have left at work. More hospitals in January though (at 32 weeks) and I've had to really stick up for myself where it comes to shift patterns I'm willing to do. Enjoy aquanatal!

Tropicana1 · 28/11/2019 13:43

@purplefig oh I love a good Christmas market! Make me feel so festive!!

@MrsEG yea as much as I love her I'm so excited to have my house back 😂

Thanks ladies - 34 week appointment went well, still below the average but bump has grown this week 🙌🏻🙌🏻 so midwife is happy 😊

MrsR16 · 28/11/2019 15:43

@MrsEG oh you're far more organised than me! I haven't finished packing my hospital bag following the "moment" I had last time! 😂 and as for washing baby clothes, I haven't even started! Nothing like leaving it till the last minute...

@LikeTheFruit no I'm not Scotland - I'm East Anglia, but my trust for some reason wants to have everything online!

@Tropicana1 I'm glad everything went well and midwife is happy! 😊 makes life easy doesn't it?

MrsEG · 28/11/2019 16:17

@LikeTheFruit Ha my belly button has just flattened completely! It’s very odd!! Definitely stick up for yourself on shift patterns especially next year when you’ll be further on; I struggle walking from the bloody car to the office these days!

@Tropicana1 Oh that’s great news that bump has grown and all looks well! One of my best friends carried very small all the way through her pregnancy - she was back in her old jeans a month after birth. Whereas I reckon I’m looking at a few months of the sweatpants life when the twins arrive!! Also - her daughter was still born at like 7lb :)

@MrsR16 Ha I think I’m just being over organised! A mix of the consultant wanting me all ready by 28 weeks and also just wanting everything done before Christmas so I can relax! The clothes washing was adorable though - just the cutest wee rack of clothes on the dryer that I ever did see!

OP posts:
purplefig · 28/11/2019 17:06

@BabySquid Oooo that's good to know - I'll have to pick some up.

@PippaPug It might be uncomfortable (anyone else a people pleaser or just me?!), but I think it's worth being upfront with the mum that you're stopping at Christmas. Otherwise you'll be resentful going in in Jan, to what sounds like a really bloody hard and physically demanding job. My back is pretty much at the stage where it's now painful every day. Like what you were describing to MrsEG, I'm starting to feel a bit down with it as I just can't do anything that I used to be able to do and I'm sick of being in daily pain with it.

@MrsH497 glad you're plan worked! Grin

@MrsEG No you really are not alone, I'm having a proper old strop with everything today too. We start NCT on Saturday. It's 4 hours and my back is already wincing at the thought of being sat for that long! How many sessions is yours? Don't blame you for skipping yoga, pregnancy exhaustion is real! So glad physio went well though - your new band sounds amazing! So amazing you'll be in the third tri this weekend too...where on earth has the time gone?! Yes please - love your bump updates! This weekend we've got a fair bit on - out Friday night for a friend's leaving do, NCT Saturday morning and then our town's Christmas light switch on / Christmas markets etc. in the evening. Sunday we're going to a baby sale to pick up the last bit of clothes we need and then the inevitable tree decorating. How about you?

@Tropicana1 glad the midwife is happy and the bump is progressing. It's got to be pretty normal for bumps to be a fairly wide range of sizes given the physical differences we all have?

BabySquid · 28/11/2019 17:32

@purplefig my back is aching all day every day so think I might just have to deep heat everyday now!
@MrsEG call me a grump but I'm really not putting my tree up this weekend! I love my house to be tidy, and with it not being the biggest of houses, that's hard enough with a husband, never mind a tree! So ours is going up on the 15th!🙈 we do have a busy weekend though, I'm off tomorrow and Monday, off to my friends tomorrow morning to see her and her one week old, I'm bringing them breakfast and coffee (I would expect the same from all my visitors!) and then Saturday we're off into Leeds with the in-laws, might hit up the market there if they're not charging to get in (rumour has it!) then Sunday we're off up to my parents, going to Durham for the lights then Monday is xmas and baby shopping in Metrocentre. I'm shattered just typing all that!!
@Tropicana1 I bet you'll be glad to make a start on the nursery now at 34 weeks 😬

I'm looking forward to a small lay in tomorrow 😴 so tired and not sleeping well with my back, and hips have also started to ache 😞

Tropicana1 · 28/11/2019 20:30

@MrsEG yea I read so many stories on the PBC Facebook group about people told to "expect at least 9lbs" based on their bump who then go on to have perfectly normal 7ish lb babies so I'm assuming the same the other way around too! so much of it is just about water retention and how much water weight you have etc but it was nice to hear she's not worried and that the baby is growing this week! I think the bump not growing thing added to my general anxiety when I didn't feel any movements for the morning last week.

@BabySquid I know it's been giving me such anxiety not being able to get it started!! Will be 35 weeks on Monday when I can finally get started 🙈

@purplefig Yea I agree, I'm sure the bump measuring just adds an unnecessary level of stress if you don't line up one way or the other!

Off to Center Parcs tomorrow for a last mini getaway before the baby! Not that I'll be eligible for many of the activities this time haha

MrsEG · 28/11/2019 21:02

@purplefig Ours is 6 sessions but one is just for the twin parents (3 other couples having twins - something in the water it would seem!) All bar one are 2.5 hours but our Saturday one is 10-4!!?! Might even take my pregnancy pillow to that one haha! Your weekend sounds hectic but in the best possible way, enjoy and let us know how Saturday goes! I’m mildly terrified about hitting the third tri as I’m so acutely aware I’ll miss 3 weeks of it at the end...!

@BabySquid I’m the same - we think we may not even bother with a tree! Too much effort when the house is already full of double buggy, car seats still in boxes, Moses baskets etc! What a fabulous houseguest you are - I’d love for someone to bring me breakfast! Enjoy the markets - maybe I should try and get to the Manchester ones this weekend to join in (but I’d want a Baileys not chocolate soooo bad!!)

@Tropicana1 Ah enjoy Center parcs I’ve never been, I’d love to go! We have it earmarked for a holiday when I’m on mat leave! Yeah it’s not even nearly an exact science - even with my growth scans where they do all body measurements etc, which you’d think would be bang on, don’t get it right - some twin mums I’ve spoken to tell me they got induced as scans said babies were huge only to actually have two tiny babas! So who knows. Like you say all women are different and we all carry differently!

OP posts:
LokiCat · 29/11/2019 07:27

Morning ladies, happy Friday! Been holed up in the house for three days with the cold, but venturing back to work today. I've got to be in London tonight anyway as going to theatre with DH later 😊 feeling slightly better!

@PippaPug we're doing well thank you! Hearing the heartbeat on Sunday feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I've been feeling so much better about things. I'm sure I'll soon be getting scanxiety as the day approaches, but for now all is good 😊 how are you?
I can't believe how frustrating the experience with Wayfair has been for you! I'm glad the manager has taken over and hopefully all will get sorted soon.
Re notes - mine are all online like MrsR16 and I have access to them through an app which is really useful. They generally update them within a day or two as well which is great if I'm waiting for a result as I get them quite fast!

@LikeTheFruit ahh lovely bump! Happy 26 weeks for today! Glad you had such a lovely time on holiday. Yup we should be going over the week for Christmas which I'm so excited for! Was it cold when you went? Only thing I'm dreading!!
When are you off to the cottage with DH? That'll be so nice! Enjoy!

@BabySquid oh no, I hope you're okay? I hope the deep heat is helping!

@Tropicana1 glad all went well at the appointment and your bump is growing :)
Ah enjoy centre parcs! I went once and would love to go again!

@purplefig ahh glad you had such a lovely time at the markets! I love being around such festive places. It builds such happiness inside me and it feels so magical. I always feel like a little child in those moments 😂

@MrsEG sorry to hear your PGP has been feeling so bad lately, but glad your physio appointment went well. Sounds like the new support belt will be helpful!
Wow can't believe you'll be in the third trimester this weekend! Time is flying!
Don't think our tree will be going up this weekend, but will be getting house ready for our Christmas lunch on Sunday. Ordered these adorable Christmas wreath place cards which I can't wait to use. It's the small things 😁

So I think I felt some slight movements when I woke up this morning.. like something popping near the bottom of my bump. It was only very quick so not 100% sure!

BabySquid · 29/11/2019 08:44

@LokiCat glad you're feeling better... I always try make an effort to go back to work if I'm going somewhere in the evening as I always hear my mums voice in my head "if you're not well enough for school you can't go out later!" Even if it is Friday!! I'm much better than Tuesday backs ok now with help from Mr Heat!
I believe my first movements were like popping just below my belly button 🥰🤞🏻hope you start feeling them more regularly in the coming week and that'll confirm it.
@MrsEG I do love putting my tree up and getting all the little decs out, but my little living room just looks untidy with it all out I can't cope for too long!
@Tropicana1 enjoy centre parks, somewhere like that is on my stay-cation list for next year.

So happy it's Friday and I'm not at work, I'm off for newborn cuddles instead 🥰

purplefig · 29/11/2019 09:29

@BabySquid Yeah I'm having to use a hot water bottle on mine daily - definitely at the management stage now! Glad deep heat works for you. Re: achy hips + back at night - have you tried sleeping on top of a folded up double duvet? That really helped my hips. Also I need a firm cushion behind my back to sort of help hold it in the right position? Both make a big difference in my experience.

@Tropicana1 yeah and you're right about all the women on PBC who have been told to expect jumbo babies and have perfectly averaged sized ones! It's hard isn't it, because on the one hand a big/small baby needs extra attention, but the measuring methods seem to be so inaccurate in many cases which just causes unnecessary stress. Ooo enjoy Center Parcs! Pregnancy spa treatment perhaps?!

@MrsEG Oh wow 6 sessions is a lot - but 2.5 hours is nice manageable chunks. Two of ours are 4 hours...my back is already wincing! I've ordered a special pillow seat thing in a moment of panic yesterday...god my Amazon prime is taking a battering atm. Great there is a twin one - you're going to have no shortage of twin mum friends come 2020! I think the good thing about being in the third tri is you certainly expect less of yourself Grin or that's been my experience anyway. I'm perfectly happy to not take the dog out if my back is sore, or leave a party early because I need to hit the hay etc.

@LokiCat Sorry to hear you've had a rotten cold - I've only had one during pregnancy and it was bloody awful. Honey and lemon water certainly soothed my throat, but they do just seem to drag on and one don't they? Enjoy the theater tonight - sounds fab! And popping is what a lot of women describe as first movements, so it definitely could be. How exciting!

Happy Friday! Anyone snagged a bargain in the Black Friday sales? x

MrsEG · 29/11/2019 11:33

@LokiCat Glad you’re feeling better! What are you seeing at the theatre? My early movements felt like pops - kinda like being flicked from the inside! They were really few and far between at first though!

@BabySquid Enjoy the newborn cuddles!! Yeah we’re a bit 🤷‍♀️ about a tree as it also drives the dog mad! But we’re going to put up some fairy lights and other decs. And I even got my first Xmas card yesterday!!

@purplefig Yep; I’ve kinda been like that for weeks already haha! ‘DH, unload the dishwasher, walk the dog, put the washing machine on...I’m impaired’ It took me like 25 mins to get out of bed this morning though and he was there, so I think he is really getting it a bit more now much I really can barely move! Yesterday he text to say parcels had arrived for me - I got home, he’d left them all on the floor 🙈 I was like ‘bending is way beyond my capabilities!!’ Ooh that pillow sounds amazing! Let me know what it’s like as I’m struggling with the sofa now as it’s so low down! Will it be here ready for your mammoth NCT tomorrow!?

@ELW85 Not heard from you for a few days lovely - hope you’re okay!

Happy Friday! WFH and it’s the most gorgeous winters day here today, cold and sunny. Going to go for my physio-instructed slow 20 min walk at lunchtime ha! I’m really exhausted this week due to very bad sleep so looking forward to the weekend. Off to the cinema tomorrow, then seeing some friends on Sunday.

OP posts:
Larrydavid · 29/11/2019 15:53

Hey! I've been a bit useless on here. I've been scared to post too much before getting to 12 weeks - a friend of mine discovered she had a missed miscarriage at her 12 week scan - poor thing. It freaked me out a bit.
I've had a bit of a weird week - went to film a documentary on Wednesday and instead got stuck on a train for 13hours. It was pretty awful - morning sickness + no food, no toilets! People started to wee in sinks and on the floors, other people smoking in the carriages. It was a long old day! Hope you've all had better weeks!

In good news, we went for the harmony test last week and we've got the results back and everything in fine. Plus we have an adorable video of our dancing baby! Proper nhs 12 week scan next week - can't wait to get that done!

@MrsEG Is the physio helping with the pain?

@LokiCat Boo to the cold! What are you going to see?

@Tropicana1 Enjoy centre Parcs!

@LikeTheFruit Great bump pic! Are you a doctor?

@PippaPug Your wayfair ordeal sounds like a bloody nightmare. Hope it's sorted!

purplefig · 29/11/2019 16:41

@MrsEG Oh I really don't blame you, it sounds like you're really suffering with PGP which is no joke. Glad your DH gets it. I honestly don't know what I'd do without mine (and I only have a bit of measly back pain compared to you)! How was your lunchtime walk? I got out for 20 mins too in the sunshine with the dog, it does make all the difference getting a good ol' daily dose of vitamin d. Watching anything exciting at the cinema? Have fun with your friends on Sunday!

@Larrydavid I'm sorry to hear about your friend, it's totally understandable that that has freaked you out a bit. Also sorry to hear about your train ordeal - that sounds utterly horrendous. Weeing on the floor?! Gahh!! Tbh, I'd probably have to join in, the absolute state of my bladder at the moment Grin. I hope you've got a chilled out weekend on the horizon? Great news about the harmony test! When is your 12 week scan next week?

And now for what you've all been sat on the edge of your seats waiting for...a pillow update! OK so this is what I ordered (on the basis that it was the highest rated in this category on Amazon): www.amazon.co.uk/iamcomfi-Coccyx-Cushion-Orthopedic-Wheelchair/dp/B078SBJ2V3/?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

I wasn't sure if it would be remotely helpful as to my knowledge I don't have sciatica etc. But a) the reviews were great and b) I have to sit for four hours at NCT tomorrow, so I was feeling pretty desperate.

Initial impressions: I think this has actually made quite a big difference. Normally I have to have a hot water bottle on my back when sitting to ease the ache, and I can just about grin and bear sitting down for the afternoon (I stand at my standing desk in the morning). Today I have sat for a total of about 6 hours and my back is feeling so, so much better than normal and I haven't had that constant, localised ache and nagging feeling.

I'd say if like me you are experiencing back pain when you sit (I don't get it stood or walking), it's definitely worth a go. I'll be taking it along to NCT tomorrow...I don't care how stupid I look! Grin

I hope you all have a fab weekend whatever you get up to! We're out at Christmas lights and a friends leaving do tonight, NCT and maybe another night market tomorrow and then a second-hand baby item sale and TREE DECORATING on Sunday. I'm sure in between all that I'll be making the most of my newfound pillow obsession. Catch you all on Monday! x

Fivebyfive2 · 29/11/2019 18:10

Hi all! Sorry I've not been posting much, had a weird few days... Sil has been in and out of hospital but is coming home tonight after having to have a lumbar puncture to get rid of excess fluid, bless her! Will find out more about what they said at the hospital about any follow-up etc when I see her tomorrow.

Sounds like people have some exciting things coming up this weekend with NCT, Christmas lights etc... I can't believe it's Dec on Sunday!! I think we're putting our tree up next weekend 🙂🎄

A verrrryyy personal/tmi question for you ladies, especially those into third trimester /with bigger bumps... Where do you stand on grooming, ahem 'down there'?! I normally like to keep mine quite 'neat' just from personal preference, but since getting bigger I haven't touched it, too scared because I can't see what I'm doing!! But I'm finding it really annoying! Can anyone relate?! Xx
