Getting a new one started before we are full! I’ll go back now and add people - answering everyone’s last posts here!!

@MrsR16 Nesting sounds like a good idea! Our house is such a mess at the moment mid-decorating and I cant wait for it all to be done so I can tidy!!

@BabySquid Fabulous bump! Glad you had such a brilliant time. I’m starting to think that pain sleeping is all just part and parcel of being pregnant now! At my yoga class everyone complains of it!

@Tropicana1 I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about!

@purplefig Yeah it was amazing to hear! Apparently IVF twins are more likely to be small but she never explained why. But yeah, induction is less likely for growth - it could still be needed for other reasons but it’s nice to have one of them off the list! How are you feeling, sleeping any better?

@ELW85 I did sleep a little bit better! I still woke up about 4:30 but slept all the way from 10 til then which is amazing! I feel like I’m slowly getting used to just being tired now! Glad you managed a better sleep!

@PippaPug Glad you got the radiator sorted! Yeah I’m amazed at how care changes from place to place but I think the main thing is as long as someone is seeing us at least once a month then that’s great!! How have you been feeling? I’m 24+4 today and really starting to feel uncomfortable now. My bump measured approx 32 weeks yesterday!! 32!!! She thinks they must be lying all at the front.

@cupcakesandglitter From doing some googling I think at the 28 week appt they’ll more start telling me what I can and can’t do in the birth - like start laying out all of my options? So I’m not gonna worry too much and wait to see what they say! My only ‘preference’ is everyone arrives happy and healthy and all are safe and well! I love the bong haha - how are you feeling today?

@Lemonysherbet honestly, some days I don't know what I'd do without our little group! 😊

@MrsEG oh I bet your husky's living his best life at the moment! 😂 ooh, you finish work on my due date! I bet you're so excited! Bump is looking absolutely gorgeous too 😊

@ELW85 I think you're absolutely spot on - I'm looking forward to the energy burst that I should get at some point! You're going to have the best time in NYC! I'd love to go there one day

@Fivebyfive2 that is super organised of you! I really should finish packing my hospital bag today or tomorrow... 🙈 cake for breakfast in December is perfectly acceptable! 😂

Fivebyfive2 · 01/12/2019 13:22

@MrsEG, apparently they might leave me to go up to 39 weeks, to give him as much time to move /get to full term as possible?! It's all so uncertain to be honest, we'll just see what they say at the scan. At least he's growing, wriggling and developing all fine, he's just a bit awkward 😂

MrsEG · 01/12/2019 17:54

@MrsR16 He is loving it! He’s never happier than when it snows - my worst nightmare as I’m like Bambi on ice hah! Luckily we have a big garden so that keeps him happy! I can’t believe how close your due date is. Have you felt baby drop yet?

@Fivebyfive2 Ha little Homer being awkward already - hopefully not a taste of things to come!! Twin 2 is such a mad wriggler and never moves to let the sonographers get proper measurements and they always say ‘You wanna be wary of this one!’ Fingers crossed all goes well at the scan and they’ll give you a proper plan of action. But maybe have your hospital bag in the car, just in case...!

OP posts:
MrsR16 · 01/12/2019 18:43

@MrsEG my wimp of a dog is currently curled up on the sofa on one of my blankets... he has his own, but much prefers mine! 😂 the thing with baby dropping is that it's already been head in pelvis since about 33 weeks! So I haven't felt it as such, but I'm definitely struggling to walk properly now, can't cross my legs comfortably and my hips are dying... yay for pregnancy glamour(!)

LikeTheFruit · 01/12/2019 18:56

Hi everyone.

It's soooo cold now, can't believe I've been having the scrape the car windows!

@LokiCat you are going to have the best time! Yeah it was pretty cold, loads of layers. It was sunny though which was lovely but defo winter warmer weather! We're going Monday to thurs over Xmas, cannot wait, going to be so chilled! Exciting you've started to feel movements, it'll be more and more from now on. My first movements sort of felt like someone had stretched an elastic band inside me and were twanging it 😂😂

@Larrydavid yes, doctor here. Specialise in anaesthesia. V weird being the patient for once. Hope all well with scan this week!!

@Fivebyfive2 I've been a committed waxed for a few years now so have kept it up. Can't really see there now! Weirdly it's not been as sore or growing in a quickly as before I was pregnant. Bonus! I epilate my legs and underarms and am only having to do it half as much as before too. Cake for breakfast is a win. I was still microwaving cake 2 weeks after we got married we had so much left over 😂😂😂

@ELW85 thank you! Yes the compression stocking are a particular brand of sexy. If you e not already picked seats for flight id recommend aisle seats. I was up to loo 4 times! Hope you e had a restful weekend.

@MrsR16 ooh we're getting a dishwasher too, never had one before either. So exciting! 😂😂

@MrsEG lovely bump photo !!

Hope you've all had lovely Sundays.

MrsH497 · 01/12/2019 20:49

Ooh @MrsEG what an absolutely gorgeous bump you've got!
Well ladies 16 weeks now can't quite believe it! Had a day of feeling ok today enjoyed a chicken roast albeit small portion.

Hope everyone has had a fab day I'm loving it being colder I must be crazy! Xx

purplefig · 02/12/2019 09:10

@Fivebyfive2 sorry to hear about your SIL, I hope she's doing better after the lumbar puncture. Re: grooming - I'll use a mirror to give it a trim to stop it from entering full yeti mode, but I'm not too fussed really. Glad you had a lovely time at your baby shower!

@MrsEG I had a whole weekend of feeling like I have a normal back! And I took the cushion with me to NCT and my back was fine (after sitting for nearly four hours...that would have been agony before). How was Knives Out? Hope you managed to get comfy! We've already booked to see Star Wars and I've already decided my pillow is coming with me Grin. Your week sounds super busy with appointments - exciting you'll get to see the boys again though! And how incredible you've got just 2.5 weeks of work left. I think I've decided I'm taking a week off over Christmas and then going to do half days in January. Finish properly last week of Jan. Amazing bump (and beanie).

@MrsH497 your HR department sound dreadfully misogynistic. Is there any way you could make it clear that HG is a whole different kettle of fish to 'just' morning sickness. Idiots. Even just send them a link to the NHS page on it which clearly states:

  • This excessive nausea and vomiting is known as hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), and often needs hospital treatment.
  • Severe sickness can be exhausting and stop you doing everyday tasks, such as going to work or even getting out of bed.
  • HG is much worse than regular pregnancy sickness. It is not the result of anything you have or have not done, and you do need treatment and support.

Link: www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/severe-vomiting-in-pregnancy-hyperemesis-gravidarum/

@ELW85 oh my goodness those hours are insane! Are you able to reduce them a bit this week? No wonder you're exhausted! How was carpet shopping and tree decorating?

Happy Monday everyone! It's bloody freezing down here in the South West today - proper frost and everything Grin. We had a lovely weekend - NCT was really enjoyable. There were six couples and everyone seemed really great - I actually vaguely knew three of the girls from various yoga groups I've been too. Then on Sunday we picked up a few more newborn/0-3 bits along with a play mat / baby gym thing and a bouncer (that vibrates/plays music for £3!!!!). Tree is also up and I'm starting to feel pretty festive. I do love this time of year x

MrsH497 · 02/12/2019 10:47

@purplefig it's probably because it's centralised and I never "see" anyone. Was sick again this morning despite early meds. Don't know whether to phone dr or the hospital and see what else I can take? I know it's better but I'm now sat at work exhausted and dreading mornings again!

When should we start NCT or antenatal classes? Does the midwife tell us when to do them?!

MrsEG · 02/12/2019 10:59

@MrsR16 Haha oh bless him - as it should be!! Oh you poor thing - have you got the pregnancy waddle in full effect now then?!

@MrsH497 16 weeks! Hope you’re feeling a bit better. For NCT I just looked it up online and they responded with the course date they thought suited me best. I think it’s usually around 30 weeks though!

@purplefig Sounds like that pillow has been gold! Glad you enjoyed the NCT class! Knives Out was excellent, really enjoyed it (as I did the popcorn and Minstrels) - seat was surprisingly comfy too! Ha definitely take the pillow to Star Wars!! I think half days in Jan sounds super sensible - just enough to stop you going stir crazy! It’s freezing here too - frosty every day recently. It’s so lovely but the fear of slipping is real!

Happy Monday folks! Saw some friends yesterday and they gave us an amazing sling which I can’t wait to use now. I have a twin carrier but while DH is around we’ll carry one each! She also made me feel much calmer about babies arriving and my massive fear of the unknown - apparently you just figure it out! She said having mum friends to text is invaluable too and luckily I have a good few. Got my 28 week bloods later; I’ve been super breathless the last few weeks so have managed to convince myself something is wrong (hypochondriac over here) then our NCT starts tomorrow night with the extra twin class! Can’t wait to meet the local twin couples!
Have fab weeks all x

MrsR16 · 02/12/2019 13:47

@LikeTheFruit it really is exciting! And very sad haha! 😂 I'm definitely an adult now...

@MrsH497 ooh roast chicken is good! No matter how small the portion! Although I'm sorry to see you were sick again today! I haven't done any NCT/antenatal classes - before I realised where I was it was probably a bit late to get booked on! 😂

@purplefig i had friends come over yesterday solely to put my tree up as I'm in no fit state to do anything like that at the moment but they didn't want baby to be here for Christmas and us not have pictures... 😂 sounds like you got some great bargains! I love a good bargain!

@MrsEG I think so! Haha! I know it's not a patch on you, but my hips are absolutely dying! If I sit still for too long, they seize up and then I'm like an 80 year old trying to get moving again! Cue DH laughing at me a fair amount! 😂

PippaPug · 02/12/2019 14:11

Hello everyone,

How is everyone going? Sorry I went a bit quiet, work was full on and then the journey home was horrendous (didn’t get a seat at all and was just squashed the whole way home) Saturday was spent dealing with wayfair (2 out of 2 boxes turned up 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️) and Sunday I had a day off my phone!

@MrsR16 - ohhh a new job, that sounds exciting! Fingers crossed for you!

@MrsEG - how are you doing with your PGP? Wow so glad your finding lots of twin mums! That’s great, I’m finding it a bit harder but it’s because im in London half the week I think, but two of my school friends have had babies last month so although they are Singletons - I’m hoping we will do some stuff together as I’m worried about being lonely! I wanted to do swimming classes but been quoted £170 for 10 lessons, per child, and needing to buy a certain swim outfit for them, as well as if you want under water photos it’s extra, looking at around £350 for the twins for 10 lessons, that’s insane!

@LikeTheFruit - Yes I think I need to have another word with her for her to try and understand she may of worked right up to giving birth but she was living local, family/friends were local and her job is a desk one unlike mine....I just don’t want to push it further then I should! How are you doing?

@Tropicana1 - so glad your bump has grown!

@purplefig - Yes I think I need to chat with the mum again about it, hopefully she understands that I’m high risk due to twins and I don’t want to Be several hours away in Jan, I may suggest doing two days a week for 2 weeks and then finishing, I feel bad that she hasn’t got any other childcare but it can’t be helped, but yes I’m a total people pleaser which is very hard in my job as I often get taken advantage of! How are you doing?

@LokiCat - when is your scan? I always get scanxiety too (I like that description) that’s great your notes and test results get updated ASAP though, no waiting around! How are you?

@Larrydavid - I’m so sorry about your friend, must be so hard for her and understandable it’s panicked you a little, how are you?

I have had a very productive day so far, lots of paperwork done which I had been putting off 🙈 really trying to rest on Monday/Tuesdays in prep for my 3 days at work - I did it last week and I wasn’t in so much pain so I’m hoping it will work!

Here is my bump picture - at 26 weeks plus 1 day ...no top on 🙈 as my boobs are quite big and I still feel I look round/chunky rather then pregnant 🙈

purplefig · 02/12/2019 16:02

@MrsH497 maybe, but that's no excuse to treat you with such little respect and care. Do you at least have an in-person line manager you could discuss this with? Sorry to hear you've been sick again this morning - I think it's definitely worth persevering with the doctors as hopefully there is something that can help. Re: NCT - I just looked up when our local one was on and emailed them about it. I started this weekend at almost 30 weeks and there were people there from 24 weeks to 36 weeks. (I think it was such a big range because this is the last class they are doing locally until April)! FWIW I do know they say it's worth booking on early, as they often get fully booked. I think I booked ours when I was around 20 weeks or something?

@MrsEG glad you enjoyed it and were comfortable - salty popcorn and chocolate is always a winning combo imho. Love that your husky is so on board with this weather! What kind of sling did your friends give you? I've got a more structured one, but fancy getting a material wrap one too - not sure if I should wait until they're here though. All the best for your 28 week bloods - remember if you get a text saying 'come back for repeat bloods' try not to panic! I had one of those texts and it nearly gave me a bloody heart attack. (It was just suspected anemia though).

@MrsR16 ahhh what great friends you have! Does it make you feel all festive? Oh I love a good bargain too...couldn't believe it when she said £3! Grin

@PippaPug glad to hear you're doing OK and your bump is looking fab! Also glad to hear you're going to have a word with the mum - I think it's so socially conditioned for women to be people pleasers, but now really is the time to put your needs first. You are growing two whole human beings after all! On that note, I listened to a great Motherkind podcast episode on this the other day - it was all about perfectionism / people pleasing. Not sure if that sounds like your cup of tea, but it really hit hard with me and it's made me think about some things I need to change. Anyway, it's here if you fancy a listen on your commute: www.motherkind.co/listen-1/2019/11/21-ep82-how-to-find-freedom-from-perfectionism

Have a fab evening everyone! I'm making mushroom stroganoff and watching The Crown finale tonight (equally excited for both tbh). Has anyone else watched The Crown? I wasn't sure to start with and I think it's now my favourite of the three series. x

MrsEG · 02/12/2019 17:29

@MrsR16 Oh you poor thing! I’d say that’s the perfect excuse to just not get up anymore haha! Hip pain is rotten isn’t it - getting out of bed just feels impossible some days! How are you enjoying your mat leave so far?

@PippaPug Bump looks fab! Oh it’s crazy the prices of classes and lessons isn’t it. I’ve been keeping an ear out for local things to do that do a twins discount - think I’ve found a baby sensory place so far that does. To have to pay double for anything just seems crazy!! I can’t believe no one offered you a seat on the train?!

@purplefig I’m not sure on the brand of the sling I’ll have a look later! It just looked so comfy! She did recommend sling libraries too as they can give you loads of advice on baby wearing. I’m saving all of the Crown for some Xmas binge watching!

Had a really weird day today. At the hosp I mentioned in passing I’d noticed a slight change in a mole since being pregnant - kinda hoping for the usual reassurance that it was normal (Google says so!) - but suddenly folk were concerned and I was passed for an emergency GP appt, who said all the things you just don’t want to hear when examining me (‘gosh that is quite big’) and then urgently referred me to the dermatologist at the hospital. I should get an appt in the next few days. Trying my best to keep calm about it but it’s just a big fat worry I could do without. The irony is I am super fair, avoid the sun like a vampire and wear factor 50 every day!

OP posts:
ELW85 · 02/12/2019 20:54

Evening all!

Still shattered but starting to see the light at the end of the work tunnel 😊
Thank you for all of your lovely words, I’m forcing myself to ease up a bit this week.

@Fivebyfive2 - I think cake at any time is acceptable. When I was in Asia, there were super-hot prawn noodles for breakfast so I don’t think any food is off limits; it’s all personal taste 😀 xx

@MrsEG - you look beautiful!! I’m sure it was really scary with the referral but they’ll just be being super-precautious. Pregnancy does bizarre things to your skin, so it’s way more likely to be that than anything more sinister. I hope you’re ok?

@PippaPug - lovely bump!!

@purplefig - I love this time of year too! Tree decorating went really well and I found a carpet so that’s booked in before Christmas so the nursery will be finished before then; so excited!
How are you getting on? It’s been Baltic here too. We’re getting Hive fitted on Friday to try and manage the heating a bit better!

@LikeTheFruit - sadly aisle seat already booked! I’m so paranoid about DVT; I really need to convince myself a transatlantic flight isn’t the worst idea ever. I know I’ll love it when we’re there, just need to be vigilant I guess!

So next week will be getting ready for NYC, and Hamilton a week on Thursday. Cannot wait!!

Also - anyone seen The Baby Has Landed on iPlayer? Just watching the first episode now!

purplefig · 03/12/2019 09:15

@MrsEG sorry to read about your day - what a stress you could do without right now. I hope your appointment comes through really soon and it all gets sorted and confirmed as nothing to worry about ASAP. Big hugs lovely.

@ELW85 Glad you're easing up a bit this week - I don't know how you managed last week! Glad your tree decorating went well - what kind of colours/vibe do you go for? We've got a bloody massive 7 ft one, so made the decision to stick with red/gold/green and fairly traditional as replacing that many decorations would be far too expensive Grin. Great news your nursery is all set to be finished before Christmas too.

Hope everyone has a good day! I'm going to pop into town later while the sun is still out, then it's yoga tonight. Can't believe I'm over 30 weeks now...the countdown is well and truly on. We're going shopping this weekend for the last few birth bag bits and then that's getting packed which feels very real. x

PippaPug · 03/12/2019 10:43

@purplefig - I wonder why we are so conditioned? Thank you for that, I am commuting up sadly tomorrow morning and I will listen to that on the way to work.

Did you enjoy the crown? I watched series one and really enjoyed it but struggled to get into series 2 - I’m thinking I may watch it all when on mat leave and try a bit harder!

@MrsEG - I know I was super shocked they don’t even offer twins discount but they are saying it’s because it’s two adults in the pool - they are only in the pool because of the twins! Plus £17 per lesson per child for 30 mins I just don’t think I can sadly justify it for two of them (it was a push to justify it for one!)
Yes no offer of a seat, we were all packed in like sardines and I couldn’t get anywhere near the seats 🙄 well tomorrow is another week of commuting so hopefully I will get a seat tomorrow!
At least the mole is being taken seriously and they are doing something about it, your in the best hands possible, let us know how you get on 💐

@ELW85 - are you looking forward to going to NY? Have you been before, I have always wanted to go - hoping in a few years someone will have the twins whilst we go for a long weekend!

So I ended up Hospital last night, I hadn’t felt the babies kick properly in almost 12 hours - a few tiny flutters but that was all.
The midwifes totally reassured me and although it took a few minutes to find Pips heart rate it was there and very strong, he has always been on my left side (since about 8 weeks pregnant If I lay on my left side I would feel incredibly sick) but he has decided to move to my right side! So no wonder I felt no kicks on my left at all!
Pop is all comfy right under my boobs where he was a few weeks ago when I had my 24 week scan but now more squashed due to Pip. Of course as soon as I was hooked up to the monitors I could feel a few kicks - but not as many nor as strong as usual but the midwife and registrar were happy with the heart rates and movements.

I felt really silly going up but the midwife reassured me that these are my babies and if I’m worried they are there to reassure me and check them out which I was so grateful that she didn’t belittle my fears, from the time I called up it was less then two hours till we were home, which always was good.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday 😊

MrsEG · 03/12/2019 11:04

@ELW85 It does, and the doctor did say it could be as harmless as the skin being so stretched as I have such a large bump (the receptionist had asked if I was okay when I got there and said ‘I thought you may give birth in the waiting room’!) as the mole is on my bra line, so in prime skin-stretching position. But who knows! I’ve seen the ads for that show but haven’t watched it, is it any good? Ah so jealous of NYC! Have you been before?

@purplefig Thanks lovely! Enjoy yoga later. Annoyingly I have to miss a few yoga sessions as they now clash with NCT! May try and do a bit at home by myself (never feels the same though!) Enjoy the hospital bag packing!

@PippaPug I think me and you are in for a lifetime of double costa haha! Oh you poor thing - I did the exact same at 27 weeks and I was glad I got checked. They told me even then that with twins they move about so much that patterns are hard to track - I still struggle with it now; my main worry is always ‘if they’re moving position, how can I be sure I am feeling them both?!’ I would say this week though I’m noticing them much more (it’s quite uncomfortable actually!) pushing their heads and bums around. They must have had a good growth spurt! So glad they did all the checks for you and all is well :)

Thanks for the kind words ladies - I was a bit upset last night but okay today and just putting it to the back of my mind - worrying about it won’t change a single thing. Just looking forward to my growth scan tomorrow now. I meet with the consultant too to start talking birth (!!) and treatment pathway for the remainder of the pregnancy; last time bi-weekly scans were mentioned but I wonder if that will be reduced if all still looks okay?
Also ladies who has the GTT test, when was this done? I don’t have any of the usual risk factors at all but was told at booking in that with twins I should be offered it at some point - but it hasn’t been yet. Wondering if I should mention it myself?

OP posts:
MrsR16 · 03/12/2019 11:46

@PippaPug such a cute bump!! I'm glad the babies are ok - it's horrible when things change! I've always been told that they'd so much rather see us if things feel strange than not! You absolutely did the right thing 😊

@purplefig it is lovely! I never normally put my tree up this early, so it's a bit strange!

@MrsEG it's still a bit weird being on leave! The dog is loving it though 😂 oh goodness, at least they're dealing with it promptly! I'm glad you're feeling better about things today!

@ELW85 I'm glad you're taking it easier - no-one will thank you if you don't! You're so lucky going to NYC! You're going to have the best time 😊

purplefig · 03/12/2019 12:15

@PippaPug I'm so glad everything is OK with pip and pop, please don't feel silly for going in to get checked out. They advise that's exactly what you do if you notice reduced movement, so you 100% did the right thing. Glad you were able to be reassured and hopefully they keep up with some regular kicking now! Kids, eh?! Grin. Re: women being socially conditioned to be people pleasers...don't get me started as I will bore you senseless Grin. But essentially, just think of all the subtle and overt ways people pleasing was expected from you / you were rewarded for it by your family / peers / society (not that anyone is to blame, it's subconscious). One small example of how this manifests: outspoken women being called 'bossy' whereas the same behaviour is men considered assertive.

@MrsEG I agree about yoga being trickier at home - I love the group setting of a class. Plus there's no way I'd spend 60 mins doing it on my own! Great that you've got the scan to focus on and how exciting that it's time to start discussing birth options!

@MrsR16 Oh really?! I'm a 1st Dec kinda girl myself Grin. Enjoy that festive spirit!

LokiCat · 03/12/2019 18:05

Hi ladies! I'm 20 weeks today!! Can't believe I've made it to half way. Time is flying!!
It's been such a hectic weekend! We went to go see Come From Away on Friday in London. It was a musical about the planes that were diverted to Gander in Canada on 9/11. It was a brilliant musical; emotional and funny at times. I really recommend it! Then had everyone over for Christmas lunch at ours on Sunday which was lovely. No decorations up yet, but definitely have that festive feeling 😊

@Larrydavid glad you got the all clear back from your harmony test results. It's a relief getting those back. Did you also find out the sex of the baby? Hope your 12 week scan goes well as well!

@Fivebyfive2 I've always had waxing (legs and bikini), so will be keeping with that every 6-7 weeks. They said they're happy for me to continue as long as I'm comfortable in the different positions 😂
Glad you had a lovely baby shower on Saturday! Cake and gifts sound brilliant (as does cake for breakfast!) :)

@ELW85 oh wow, your hours for last week were so long! I hope you were able to relax over the weekend and have a better week this time?
I need to get some compression socks for the NYC flight as well. Looks like it's snowing over there right now, it'll be so magical when you go! I'm so excited 😁

@MrsEG hope all goes well with your appointments this week! Must be a pain, but I guess it's good that they are keeping on top of things and you're being well looked after. Hopefully your appointment for the mole comes through soon. I'm sure all will be okay. Got everything crossed for you! I haven't had my GTT yet, but have it booked for the week after my 25 week midwife appointment. May be worth bringing it up if they've said you should be getting it?
Your bump is absolutely gorgeous!!

@LikeTheFruit Definitely will be packing lots of layers. DH surprised me with the comfiest hoodie yesterday, so have already marked that to come with me. Only thing I'm really worried about is the flight. I get extreme motion sickness normally, so not sure how I'll be whilst pregnant!
Ahh that'll be a lovely time away for you both.

@purplefig glad you had a lovely weekend. I can't wait till our tree is up! I need to find a a good baby sale/market near us. Sounds like you managed to grab some great bargains.

@PippaPug ah what a lovely bump! Sorry to hear you had a scare last night, but I'm glad Pip and Pop are both okay. Don't feel silly for going in, it's definitely better to be sure - glad the midwives also reassured you! It's always great when they take you seriously. How are you now?
My scan is on Monday. So just counting down the days. I'm doing well thank you. The anxiety I had previously about the pregnancy has lessened and I'm actually enjoying it now, which I think is probably healthier as well. Just itching for these slight movements to get stronger! I still keep wondering whether it's gas or an actual movement 😂

Away for another week of training! I have one more in January then have told my manager that I'll have to stop them. It really takes a toll living from a suitcase, especially whilst pregnant! I'm just glad it'll make this week go faster before the scan next week.

Sorry if I missed anyone. I hope you're all doing well! Off to the pub for some dinner with my colleagues 😁 x

MrsH497 · 03/12/2019 21:04

Truly awful day threw up all down myself as I was driving to work. Sobbed my way to my grandparents. Went to GP ketones +++ so back to hospital and now on Ondansetron. So glad today is over😢

BabySquid · 04/12/2019 09:41

Good morning all, wow such a busy weekend I've had, not had chance to catch up on anything. Will have a read through now and try catch up.
I'm 30 weeks now, can't believe there's now 10 weeks to go (possibly less depending on the GD!) hope you're all well and had a lovely weekend (I'm aware it's Thursday lol!)

BabySquid · 04/12/2019 09:42

(Wednesday*)!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

@MrsR16 Ah I bet the dog is loving having you at home! Do you have any idea what he’ll be like with the baby? Our dog seems so indifferent to my niece - so I’m hoping he’ll be the same with the twins haha!

@purplefig The thing I miss most about yoga when I do it at home is the relaxation at the end! I’ve tried to replicate it with YouTube videos but it’s just not the same!

@LokiCat happy half way! When’s your 20-week scan? I asked today and she said the twins are my only GD risk factor and even then it’s really small (it’s not as big a risk factor as others) so she said they tend not to do it unless it’s needed! Fine by me :)

@MrsH497 Oh you poor thing :( Hope you’re feeling better soon. How far along are you now? My sister had HG - whilst she had it a long time, it did get much better after 20 weeks.

@BabySquid Happy 30 weeks!! How is it going with your GD? Is it all being managed okay?

Busy few days! Had the twins session of our NCT last night and it was great. Went through all the various birth options and she told us loads of positive stories, exactly what would happen to us on the day, etc. I find thinking about the birth a bit stressful usually so this was really nice to hear! There were two other twin couples there - was supposed to be one more but she had just had her babies at 32 weeks (only mildly frightening!!) but mum and babies are well!
Just now had my 28 week growth scan and both boys look great - they’re on the 50th centile so I will now have scans every two weeks - they’re happy with it, but want them to stay on that line and need to keep an eye on them to ensure they don’t drop below it. I see this as a great excuse to eat more, personally!! Both boys are now breech though 🙈 so c-section seems ever more likely. Why these kiddos won’t just get in formation I don’t know!!

@MrsEG 16+2 now I've gone sick (again!) but I need to look after me and baby ultimately. Frimley were so good yesterday again. Had a very tearful day yesterday and this morning (frustration at not being allowed to wfh permanently)

I'm so eager for my 20 week scan to see little one again! I'll use my time off to research NCT classes!

Yeah these babies don't seem to read the same things we do! Can't believe you're 28 weeks already I remember you posting your FRER BFP! X
