BTW has anyone ever had a baby, Head down with its hands & FEET by its head 🤣 how the heck is he comfortable like that?

Frizzy1986 · 30/07/2019 07:11

My bump is definitely feeling heavier and aching. It's always been very low though but it feels lower now.
My friend had her baby yesterday so I'm getting even more excited.
I'm due 1st Oct and finish work on 6th Sept. I'm off to France for a week at end of August and am only back in work for a week before mat leave (yep, idiot here booked a holiday and then found out we were expecting) DD was almost 3 weeks early though so hoping I get a bit more rest this time.
We haven't purchased anything yet, but have almost everything. Already having 1 kid and having nephews means we are on hand me downs galore. I only need to get new mattresses for the crib and moses basket really. We are currently finishing off dds new room while she is having a week long holiday at my parents. Still lots to do, but hoping we can get it almost finished tonight as then we can start building the change station and crib ready as we will have space to store it in what will be the nursery.

gkeal3 · 30/07/2019 07:56

@HJWT2 I've never had a 3D scan, because we never find out the sex I'm always worried I'll see something I don't want to see lol must be amazing seeing their little face so early.

I have the other worry, too small. Bump measures 22/23 and I'm 28 weeks! I have midwife today so hoping they'll give me a growth scan. My babies are usually 6lb babies anyway and I usually carry small, just not this small.
Fingers crossed they do induce you if it's a bigger baby. Have you got any names in mind yet? I'm finding it so hard to name this one. We have one girls name I like but boys names are so hard x

HJWT2 · 30/07/2019 08:44

@gkeal3 Nope still no name! Think we will wait till he is born now as we just don't love anything, would of been much easier if he was a girl 🤣 we didn't see anything yesterday on the scan as baby is to big and they only show you the face 😁

gkeal3 · 30/07/2019 12:05

@HJWT2 ah ok so it wouldn't spoil our surprise if I did have one then 🤔

I've had midwife and she's not concerned about smallness as she said she can tell I just carry small and baby feels a good size in there. So that's given me peace of mind.

Names for a boy, we feel the same. We have a few we sort of like but nothing we really love. I have a lovely girls name I love xx

YorkshireIndie · 30/07/2019 12:41

Has anyone been struggling with foot/leg cramps? I woke up last night because of leg cramp which meant I then needed the toilet. Pregnant is so glamorous at times 🙈

YorkshireIndie · 30/07/2019 12:41

Pregnancy not pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️

HJWT2 · 30/07/2019 13:32

@gkeal3 no wouldn't spoil it! They even ask when your in there to double check whether you want to know or not ☺️

@YorkshireIndie No cramp yet! Thankfully.

Had midwife today, she couldn't find him he is so low down 😂 think he wants out already xx

Frizzy1986 · 30/07/2019 15:26

Can i have some advice from you ladies. I've started to get quite scared at the person I have become over the past few weeks.
I don't feel massively stressed, but have a lot playing on my mind.
We are still finishing dds new room and until that's done I can't move things out of her old room to make space to build the crib (so I can figure out what mattress size), get the travel system down to clean it, build the change table and start getting prepared. I know there's a while to go, but I feel so overwhelmed with how far behind I feel.
Dh has been slowly doing bits but when I ask what's next he says hes not planned what and it just feels like he's not thinking in advance. Think it makes me worried that he won't be prepared for D-day with regards to getting me to hospital etc and Im the sort of person who relaxes more if there's a plan. If the plan changes then I'm fine with it, but need to feel like we have thought about things.
Anyway, I absolutely went skitz at him this morning. I was uncontrollable and felt like I was going to explode. It started as him not bothering to put washing away, to me getting annoyed that the room won't be done as he hasn't realised all the things that need doing (and even though I told him to ask his dad to help he was adament he'd do it alone, yet its not ready) to me threatening to kick him out. It was really bad and I was inconsolable with tears.
I just don't know what to do, who to speak to. I'm genuinely scared about how I behaved, I could have punched him, I was that worked up. I'm just not ne at the moment. The only person who I could talk to in RL had her first baby this week so is clearly needing to focus on that.

Em39ma · 30/07/2019 19:05

Had my 28 week appointment today. Still measuring very big 37cm.
Got another growth scan next week. Baby on the scan is only on the 50th percentile. I’m just huge.

Positivity86 · 30/07/2019 20:06

@YorkshireIndie yes I've been having cramps in my calf and toes! Mostly at night. They are agonising!

@HJWT2 How lovely that you saw your baby 😊 We had a private one at 16 weeks for gender and got a 4D one then as part of the package, but she was obviously tiny and it's tricky to see features properly! Is around 28 weeks the best time for a 4D scan?

AngeloMysterioso · 30/07/2019 20:20

I’m so jealous of people getting growth scans, we just got the 12 and 20 week ones! I’ve got my 28 week appt on Thursday and it’ll be the first time I’m measured but I haven’t really put that much weight on- still less than a stone!

YorkshireIndie · 30/07/2019 21:25

Frizzy1986 I think the calmest of person can get overwhelmed with the enormity of what is happening. It is such a life changing event. Even if you are adding to your family. I think men do not understand that things need to get done and not later but right now. Every time we have someone viewing the house and I am at work whilst it is happening - I threaten to divorce DH and we have have an argument because I want the house a certain way but DH is happy just the way it is. I hope this makes sense. But sending you hugs and ThanksCake

AngeloMysterioso · 30/07/2019 21:28

Also, slightly TMI but has anyone else noticed an increase in CM/discharge? I keep thinking I’ve accidentally wet myself a bit but nope...

gkeal3 · 31/07/2019 12:17

@HJWT2 my buggy was delivered this morning, had a quick check to make sure it's ok and haven't unboxed it completely yet.
The hood I ordered I had to order separately and just wondering is your like stretchy material? My old bugaboo, I know it was a few years ago but the hoods were a much thicker material almost like canvas, have I ordered the correct one or has bugaboo changed the material?

HJWT2 · 31/07/2019 12:44

@Frizzy1986 Take a deep breath and have a cuppa!! Write a list of what you need done and in what order and put it on the fridge! Tell DH to get to it and tick it of as he goes along so you know were your at! 💖 chill out hun baby's don't need cots or bedroom for the first few months anyway don't stress your self out if you don't need to xx

HJWT2 · 31/07/2019 12:49

@Em39ma you must have lots of water in there!!

@Positivity86 up to 32 weeks they say as after that baby can be to big for a good view & picture 😁

@AngeloMysterioso don't be jealous!! The amount of money iv spent on parking and will have spent by the time we bring baby home I could of got him a nice designer outfit 🤣 and yes the discharge! Just so gross 🥴

@gkeal3 No my hood is canvas material ! I think it depends on the colour baby pink & blue are the stretchy material to, don't think you can get a black canvas type hood x

Em39ma · 31/07/2019 13:30

@HJWT2 nope not really. They said on higher end of the scale, but that could be just because of the way she was moving around.
You can see she and feel her in my tummy. I think she is like me rather long.

Louise392 · 31/07/2019 15:07

Hi, Can i join? I am due 29th October with 4th Baby, Little Boy.

Ive noticed bump has dropped a lot the past few days, need to go the loo all the time. Head was down at last appointment with fingers poking me with side, legs curled around to the left.

Going for a 3d/4d scan tomorrow so hopefully confirm where he is at now. Feel loads of pressure down on pelvis, bum all the time.

x

YorkshireIndie · 31/07/2019 16:48

Can I just say I can understand why people finish at 28 weeks plus. I am 29 weeks and my back is sore and I can not get comfortable and I am trying to work out something quick and easy for tea tonight

blaqueWidow · 31/07/2019 17:38

Hi ladies
I'm due with my second child at the end of October. Is there a Facebook group for this bus?

Frizzy1986 · 31/07/2019 19:07

Thanks all. Thankfully dh came home and was really supportive of my meltdown. We managed to get most of DDs room finished but the nursery is a total bomb site.
I know that we don't need the nursery straight away but we do need it clear so I can get the pram down and clean it, put up the crib so I can measure for a mattress etc and also put the double bed back up for when my parents visit when baby arrives.
Good idea to do a list so that at least dh knows what I need.

HJWT2 · 31/07/2019 20:02

@blaqueWidow No FB page hun! I personally don't use SM xx Welcome though 😁

HJWT2 · 31/07/2019 20:03

@Louise392 Welcome x @YorkshireIndie I know what you mean my back and pelvis are killing today after 2 days of walking round and swimming! 🥴

HJWT2 · 31/07/2019 20:08

Finally letting me post pics 🤣

Due October 2019 - 14 weeks to go 💙💖
