If anyone knows of a thread already up and being used please link it below 😁

Wanted to start a thread for all the October mums to be if not as no one to talk to in the real world 🤞🏻

I am due 19th with a little boy and already have a DD(3)

Cant believe its only 12 weeks until October 😬

I know that feeling! Been putting off trying to have a look now that I can no longer see under my bump

Nomnom2 · 26/07/2019 20:29

Well well...im almost 26weeks now
I have changed my location and gp as well.. and this new gp did some tb test which came out to be borderline. To which i panicked. The next thing they did was to have another blood test of full blood count and esr. The fbc is come normal but esr is borderline. Showes high esr. Im panicking again. Now they have asked me to see them again. As far as i know esr is high during pregnancy... all the blood tests done so far by mw are normal. I dont understand this gp is irritating me and making my pressure go high.. 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

It's been a sad day here... we were told that some friends of ours (DH's uni friend and his wife) whose baby is due a month after ours found out at their 20 week scan last week that their baby is measuring very small- like below 5th percentile small. They've had some tests which they're waiting for the results from but it isn't looking too good at the moment.

I just feel awful, I want to send my friend a message but I've no idea what to say, and I'm sure I'm the last person in the world she wants to hear from right now. To make matters worse when we had our 20 week scan I sent her a pic and was all "baby is doing great, sonographer said everything looks perfect blah blah blah' and now I can't believe I could have been so stupid! I just can't imagine the pain and anguish they must be feeling.

HJWT · 28/07/2019 15:34

How is everyone? Sorry iv not posted for a couple of days!

I feel very rough today! Heart burn, nausea headache 🥴 but get to see DS tomorrow booked a scan as 28 weeks now!! Cant wait to see his face 💙

@Frizzy1986 I also need to get into a costume next week don't know how I am going to 'tidy up' down there either 😂

@AngeloMysterioso Oh no 😪 that is heartbreaking news!! Have they said what the outcome is looking like x

@HJWT omg heartburn is killing me lately!! I'm downing gaviscon out of the bottle 🤣🤣

I had a mini panic yesterday and thought I havent ordered anything so I've now got my buggy, Moses basket, changing bag, car seat and cocoon all coming this week! Feeling a little more prepared now 😂

YorkshireIndie · 28/07/2019 19:19

Wow gkeal3 that is organised! I only have a car seat (although someone was giving away nappies on freecycle so I have those)

There is a charity shop where I live that is aimed at children so DH and I went there today and got a couple of things including a groswaddle!

gkeal3 · 28/07/2019 20:40

@YorkshireIndie I wasn't going to buy anything yet as I've got just under 12 weeks to go yet but my friend said oh that will soon come around...then I panicked and thought by the time the school holidays end I'm only back at work for 3 weeks then I go on maternity so actually it will come around so fast! Plus I got the buggy with a money off code which made it over £100 cheaper.

And I've never got to due date, all 3 of mine have been up to a week early so I'm guessing I only have 11 weeks not 12 🤞🏻

userabcname · 29/07/2019 07:55

Heartburn central here too! Also I've gone from not being able to eat much (baby was transverse and basically lying on my stomach) to RAVENOUS as he dropped a bit!! I even wake up hungry in the night, it's ridiculous. Have my GTT tomorrow so fingers crossed I get the all clear from that. Eek, 3rd trimester...! They'll be here before we know it!!!!

secretlyhermione · 29/07/2019 08:18

@KatnissK I know what you mean! I also feel that baby has "dropped" and my hunger levels are through the roof! We're off on holiday in two days so looking forward to our last break just the two of us before the little bean comes! When is everyone going on maternity leave? When I get back to work I'll have a month left and then I'm off.... it's going by so quickly!

gkeal3 · 29/07/2019 09:03

@secretlyhermione I'm leaving 27th sep so 3 weeks before my due date. Because my babies are usually born a few days early I'm guessing this one may be too so hoping I get at least 2 weeks off before baby makes an appearance

rosie1998 · 29/07/2019 09:36

I'm due Oct 30th can't wait to meet this little man

secretlyhermione · 29/07/2019 09:51

@gkeal3 nice! My last day is the 16th, a month before the due date as I live in a country where there's no option of working later than that. But quite looking forward to it now, I have lots of admin I've never got round to doing which I'll have time for now. First baby so no idea when he/she will come!

HJWT2 · 29/07/2019 10:34

@gkeal3 what did you go for in the end, buggy I mean?

Having to use DH account as mine has been suspended 🥴 oops! 🤣

We had our 28 week scan today and he is DD's twin!! And already 2 LB 10 ! 🤔

userabcname · 29/07/2019 10:55

@secretlyhermione glad it's not just me! I need to watch the snacking! I'm a teacher so summer hols for me atm and then doing 2 weeks of September. I could probably go longer but I'm exhausted with 2yo DS to run round after as well!

Nomnom2 · 29/07/2019 11:29

@rosie1998 same as me

gkeal3 · 29/07/2019 11:31

@HJWT2 hi lovely. I went for the fox, all black in the end. Bought the cocoon to use inside the carry it as will be a winter baby and the maxi cosi car seat as I have the isofix base for maxi cosi already. Excited now 💙💗

gkeal3 · 29/07/2019 11:32

Carrycot I meant 🤦🏼‍♀️

SunshineSophia · 29/07/2019 12:13

@HJWT2 aww congrats!! Was it a 4D scan?

I'm trying to convince DH to have a private scan because I want to know the gender - DH's cousins have all had girls recently (5 in the last 18 months!!) so I'm eager to know if I'll follow the pattern (or not!)

HJWT2 · 29/07/2019 15:52

@gkeal3 ah brill you will love it! Its definitely a nice pram 😁 x

@SunshineSophia yeah 4D! It was lovely think it really helps with bonding tbh makes it feel so real I cant wait to kiss his big lips! X

Cant post pics yet will do it tomorrow x

HJWT2 · 29/07/2019 15:53

I am worried though will have to speak to my consultant about induction he is already 2LB 10 !!

SunshineSophia · 29/07/2019 19:48

@HJWT2 aww!!!! That's so exciting seeing your bubba!!! You can now put a face to your DS instead of having to imagine what he'll look like. Right now I'm just assuming my little chunk is going to take after DH (at least I hope so, I wasn't the best looking baby, ha! :P)

SunshineSophia · 29/07/2019 19:53

Also @HJWT2 did you request the induction or has the consultant recommended it? I'm not sure about my baby's weight - I have a massive bump but the midwife has said it's lots of fluid and that the baby 'feels' long. I'm not a small lady but I do worry about squeezing out an 8lber!!

HJWT2 · 29/07/2019 21:08

@SunshineSophia iv started a thread about it but had no replies 🥴 My consultant said if I have gestational diabetes then I will be induced I wont get a choice like I did with DD but I don't have GD!! So now they will go of his size, if he seems to be getting to big on the scan I am
PRAYING she will induce me !

PLEASE ALL PRAY FOR ME 🤣🥵 This baby will be over 10 LB if I go over 40 weeks!!

SunshineSophia · 29/07/2019 21:21

@HJWT2 Ha, I'll find the thread lol and revive it :P

I'm glad to hear you don't have GD - that's positive!! Fingers and everything crossed they agree to an induction! :)

HJWT2 · 29/07/2019 21:42

@SunshineSophia thanks! Will keep you all updated! Have my first growth scan next week with the NHS 😬 x
